The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC warns against the use of Chloroquine as treatment for Coronavirus.

According to NCDC, the World Health Organization WHO has not approved the use of Chloroquine for the treatment of Coronavirus.

Recall that US President Donald Trump on Thursday March 19th, said that the United States’ Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of Chloroquine in the treatment of coronavirus, something FDA later refuted.

However, the cable had reported how people were rushing to pharmacies to get Chloroquine a few hours after President Donald trump said the drug had been approved to treat COVID-19.

Speaking during a briefing on Thursday, Matshidiso Moeti, WHO’s regional director for Africa, said there is no proof of chloroquine’s effectiveness in treating the disease.

“We are aware of some trials of the use of chloroquine in dealing with some previous coronaviruses, not this virus,” she said.

“We are not aware of any evidence that demonstrates that this is one of the medicines that could be used but we can find out some more information about that.

“There is a number of ongoing trials of other medicines and we are awaiting the outcomes of those observations. But for now, we are not aware of any conclusive evidence to show that chloroquine could be effective in treating this virus.”

Popular Enugu native doctor with 58wives, Simon Odo, a.k.a Onu Uwa, has revealed why he has such a huge number of wives…According to him, he marries a new wife anytime his older wives insult him.

“If I want to kill you, I will ask God for His grace. The person I want to kill will also ask God for his protection. The armed robbers on the highway pray to God for the success of their operations, while roads users pray to the same God for protection against robbers. God is confused about the actions of humanity because of their evil actions.

“God has abandoned humanity due to the spate of evils they perpetrate. He no longer answers our prayers because we have no love for Him or our fellow human beings. Children do not obey their parents anymore, this was not the case when I was young. There was absolute respect for elders then.

“There are four of us who people use to dupe unsuspecting members of the Public. The first person is God, the second person is Jesus Christ, then queen of oceans, and myself, the king of Satan. People go about claiming that I am their father and that they can perform all sorts of miraculous healings. To be frank with you, I did not train anybody in traditional medicine, so those people are fraudsters.

“People also go about claiming false prophecies from God, Jesus Christ, and queen of oceans; claiming that they heard from God, and duping people of their hard-earned treasures. They are 419ners and people should be wary of such them,”he warned.

He said that there are deaths of genuine native doctors due to the love for money and materials things in Nigeria, adding that people of his stock who genuinely heal people may not be more than 30 in Nigeria.

Three Arrested for impersonating soldiers in Ogun state… smiles…..I just hope they survive the beating

Officers of the Ogun police command in Agbado area of the state on Friday March 13, arrested three men wearing Army camouflage during a routine patrol.

The suspects identified as Jacob Onebi m’ 36, Olabode Oluwaseun m’ 35, and Olanrewaju Adebayo m 33, were arrested on charges of impersonating soldier following series of reports from members of the public about their illegal activities in the area.

Police spokesman in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspects initially claimed to be officers of 174 Battalion Ikorodu but confessed to being dismissed after further investigation was carried out

Oyeyemi said: On further investigation, two amongst them confessed to having been dismissed from the Nigerian army a long time ago while the third happened to be their friend who was co-opted into their nefarious activities

The suspects who were closely watched by the police before their arrest, have been transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution on orders of the state commissioner for police, Kenneth Ebrimson

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche on Sunday has Revealed when coronavirus will end…He said this while leading his congregation in a torrential prayer against the outbreak of COVID-19, otherwise known as coronavirus

Report said the deadly virus, which broke out in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and recognised as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 11 March 2020, had killed over 6,000 people with over 162,000 persons currently battling the ailment.

pipeline Explosion rocks abule ado early this morning…reports had it that pipeline owned by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, in Abule-Soba community of Lagos state, exploded at about 8am Sunday morning, March 15 , 2019

The explosion was so loud that residents of Surulere, Amuwo Odofin, Oshodi, Ikeja, Alimosho and environs felt the impact. The explosion left some of the windows shattered and ceilings pulled off.

According to PUNCH, A resident, Aliu Jimoh, said two fire service trucks had arrived the scene of the explosion but the fire was yet to be put out, adding that scores of people had been injured.

He said, “There is a problem in Abule Ado right now, a pipeline has exploded and many buildings have collapsed, including a school. We don’t know if people are in the building or not.”

Another african country, rwanda just confirmed its first case of coronavirus, Making it the 19th African nation to have registered a case of the virus.. The Health Ministry of the country announced this on Saturday.

The ministry said an Indian citizen who arrived in the East African nation from Mumbai on March 8 was tested positive for the virus after he presented himself to a health facility on March 13.

However, he has been quarantined and currently under treatment in stable condition, isolated from other patients,” the ministry said. “The tracing of all contacts has been conducted for further management.”

Rwanda’s national airline, RwandAir, has been forced to suspend all flights to India until April 30 and would refund customers.

With 127,000 people already infected and 4,700 deaths from coronavirus worldwide, African nations still have the least cases.

Davido also recounted that his mum died when he was just 11years old and as at then, he already knew what and what he needed to do. He even said that the normal cycle for rich kids was to go to school, graduate and work for their parents but he had to break that and hustle for his own money.

But the question is that how on Earth could this have happened in a school that has security personnels….where were the securities of the school during the hours the thieves were having this operation…..and if I am not mistaken, i think banks do have securities as well, including those ones at schools too….. And so where could they have been when the atm is being broken too.

I don’t know…but this might be a planned operation… something like snitch….Because if the school security claims not to be aware of how this happened, the securities at the bank can’t claim the same too

Four prospective corps members traveling to Zamfara state for the NYSC orientation camp, have been kidnapped around Funtua in Katsina State.

According to reports, the four prospective corps members kidnapped are three males and a female, alongside some other graduates from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic had charted a bus from Owo, Ondo State to the Zamfara state camp ground were they were posted to.

However as their bus driver passed through Funtua in Katsina state, armed men suspected to be kidnappers, barricaded the road and attacked their bus.

While the driver and some other students fled, Four of the students were kidnapped and have been taken to an unknown destination

“The graduated students chartered a bus from Owo to Zamfara State where they were posted for NYSC. The bus was to take them directly to the camp.

Their families last heard from them around 4pm on Monday when they got to Zaria only for Tolu to call Tuesday morning that kidnappers attacked them and took four persons. No ransom has been demanded yet but the kidnappers have contacted some of the parents but because they were speaking Hausa, there wasn’t much communication.

We are appealing to security agencies to rescue these children safely and the government has to direct NYSC to reconsider posting prospective corps members to areas their lives will be endangered” a source said

Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the Nigeria Poliuce Force, DCP Frank Mba, said

“It is true. Four of them were kidnapped around 11:30pm. The command has launched a manhunt for their captors in order to ensure their safe rescue. The command is making progress in its investigation and operation.”

The NYSC orientation camp opened for prospective corps members on Tuesday March 10th.

The National leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared a two-week warning strike in all public universities with effect from Monday, March 9.

President of ASUU, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi, disclosed this in Enugu, Monday, after the Union’s two-day National Executive Council meeting.

He explained that Nigerian universities were under ceaseless siege, a situation that needed to be addressed.

Ogunyemi explained that the essence of the industrial action was to force the Federal Government to take action on the pending issues.

He regretted that their members in federal institutions were yet to be paid their February salaries because of the issue of Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information Service (IPPIS), adding that they needed to let the Federal Government know that enough was enough.

“In our previous meetings, the Minister of Finance was solely concerned about IPPIS to the point that other issues were not addressed,” he stated.

The ASUU President, however, said that the Union would reconvene if nothing was done at the expiration of the two-week strike to determine the next line of action

“I left Berlin, Germany yesterday, had a stopover at Istanbul Airport, before connecting to Lagos. All through that journey of about 11 hours altogether, nobody stopped anybody to check for anything; people freely moved in and out of airports, in and out of flights; individuals only cared for themselves by wearing masks.

“In fact, the Turkish Airlines staff that boarded us to Lagos had his mask on, but no one checked anybody! However, most flights going to Italy and other cities were cancelled for fear of the deadly virus. Yet, people were allowed to move in and out freely.

“As soon as the plane got to cruise level, the cabin crew handed all passengers a form from the Federal Ministry of Health, which mandates every passenger to give their health info. In fact, a certain Nigerian lady, who happens to be a health worker, took time to explain the virus to passengers and how to take precautionary measures. In the end, she handed sanitisers to those who needed them.

“Upon arrival at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, the health officers picked the forms one after another, asked few questions and screened every passenger; it doesn’t matter who you are. In some cases, few were not allowed in, like the lady puts it, “oga, your temperature is too high, we can’t allow you to go in, just have your seat there.”

“For those who were allowed in, your hands must be sanitised for free.

Nigerian singer, and dmw label boss Davido Inducts new kid to his 30billion gang

According to the singer, He met the young boy, identified as bolaji during his soundcheck at the venue for one of his concerts earlier today.

Bolaji wore a necklace that has the 30BG pendant and this caught the attention of Davido, who without any further delay took the boy on a ride in his bus.

Mi abaga exits chocolate city…on Friday, March 6, 2020, He took to his social media page to announce this…. he exited chocolate city; a record label he had represented and associated with for good 13years…..The rap star also announced the start of his new self-owned record label, Incredible Music.

MI Abaga who has released his 10th studio project, Judah The EP said to have done this under Incredible Music, which makes it the first body of work he would do under his self owned record label….

I don’t how many people knew this that MI Abaga had vacated his position as the CEO of Chocolate City before now…..This was revealed by pulse Nigeria on September 13, 2019, following an interview they had with him….This came after Chocolate City announced its deal with Warner Music…….After which Audu Maikori took over the CEO seat again after vacating it in 2015.

It has really been a journey for Mi abaga…..i am sure he has a lot of stories to tell…..his experience would write more than 100 books I guess

MI Abaga joined Chocolate City in 2007, and in 2015, he assumed the role of CEO……Under the label, he released nine projects which are five albums, three mixtapes and one playlist. In 2008, he released his criticaly acclaimed and impactful debut, Talk About It. In 2010, he released his magnus opus, MI2: The Movie.

During that period, he also won two awards at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards – a huge milestone for a rapper in a pop era….who remember this

It was during that run that he started the mixtape trilogy, Illegal Music….With the label, he also tried his first imprint, Loopy Music and signed MILLI..

with the contributions made by the label and also the achievements he could make under the imprint, if we say MI Abaga did enjoy his nine-year association with Chocolate City we wouldn’t be wrong at all

Let’s not forget the numerous awards he won and the time when he was the most sought-after African rapper, which made him build his legitimate claim to being Nigeria’s greatest rapper ever.
