Yeah, am an old skool Dj who has over 30 yrs experience in the industry. I started out on my own cos of the love & passion I have for it. I have used a pair of technics sl1200 mk2 a Kenwood amp (there was no power amp then) two locally built speakers, before moving on to a dual Gemini CD mixer & a 1800 watts warfadel amp/speakers. I latter graduated to an axis9 table top player with two sound prince high range speakers. Am presently on a pair of Demon dn-s3700 plus a numark m6 mixer & a pair of peavey/warfadel double sub & a 4000watt sound blaster amp/combo for feedback, my lappy is a macbook pro & a serato sl4 soundcard. I source for my players/mixer from the US , but my speakers from within. I am not as active as I use to be (I play on special occasion). I have a son who has taken the game a step higher. He is a scratch & a Video Dj who is presently in his final year in the university. He started Djaying at 8yrs but now a master of the game. you can watch him on YouTube ( Dj kool J on campus prodigy). The challenges in the profession are numerous; one is seeing those i call (cut & nail DJ's) with just a laptop, mixer, amp & two miserable speakers sycronising on virtual Dj software and calling themselves DJ's most are shabbily dressed, The profession needs certification now just the way the engnrs, accts, doctors etc are certified in other for us to remove the grains from the chaff & give the profession it desired place in the music industry. "ONE BEAT, ONE VOICE". |

Lexusgs430:I think so, but it is not displaying any other info except "Password=_" at the top left corner. When attempting to boot when powered on, it will attempt to display "Toshiba Loading Innovation>>>" info for say one second before switching to the Password=_ sign. |

Pls adm. I don't know if this is the right place to post my problem. I have a Toshiba Window 8 ultrabook laptop core 13 (the type that looks like an iPad, you can slide it to reveal the keypad, it has no CD/DVD ROM only USB slot). The problem is when it is powered on it only shows "Password=_" at the top left hand corner of the screen without displaying the window logo. Some one told me it is asking for an administrators password. Pls can any tech guru in the house help me out with the password? pls & pls I need your help asap. |

Rick9:Pls keep your hope alive , God will make a way were there seems no way. My advise is to learn the rudiments of both world first. Attach yourself to a very good Dj who will teach you how to use a player/controller in other for u to know how to manually set your bpm, cue point, good transition & possible some basic scratch styles etc not just virtual dj program, be good at it, from there you can start getting shows on your own by renting basic equipments which will enable you save some cash towards acquiring your own equipments. The same goes for music production. if you are good already then save & start buying them gradually. (rome was not built in a day).Good luck. |

What is the depth of the foundation i e from the concrete footing to the dpc? because what I see in the drawing looks shallow. The three course after the lintel will surely make the rooms airy. |
