oluemmakay:No! They can put heads together, invent a time travel machine and teleport to 2019. It's not a pure water factory they are talking about here. Alternatively, they can gather themselves up to about 300,000 and go volunteer as labourers to assist the speedy completion of the refinery before next week Tuesday. 44 Likes 4 Shares |

Let him go Joor. Are these not the same group of people taking to the streets in large numbers in support of politicians who have stolen their commonwealth? This man should be celebrated in line with the value system of that region. Simple. 10 Likes 1 Share |

WorldRichest: Shameful as it sounds, this is absolutely true. One begins to wonder how decayed the value systems in those areas are. 3 Likes |

kcnwaigbo: I agree totally with you that every corrupt politician must be tried (and executed if found guilty), expecting it to happen all at once is a pipe dream given our present realities. It must start from somewhere. |
![]() |
kcnwaigbo: Chief relax, I'm not one of you. I'm from the middle belt and it has being my long standing view on Nairaland that ANY politician found to be corrupt should be knelt down and summarily shot in the back of the head. If it makes you feel any better, you can go attack any of the other posters that might be a party to your Nairaland tribal wars. That's not how me I pay my bills. I repeat, I am not one of you. Good day sir. |

ceejay80s: You are just talking to a brick wall o. These guys wake up every morning with a sense of duty to defend sketchy characters like the accused and then have the guts to turn around to complain about bad governance. You sir, are interacting with nut-jobs here. 3 Likes |

kryptonian1987: There's reality and then there's idealism. I don't know which country you presently are in but we've been broken far to down in this country to wait till all is perfect before anything is done. Do you frankly believe that with all the resources in his power if GEJ had the political will to probe the likes of Tinubu, Ameachi and co, they wouldn't be having a run for their money right now? ...so because those guys were left alone, any other person found out to have stolen monies in his/her possession should be left to go? No na. Haba! It'll be a tall dream to expect PMB and his goons to probe his allies(seriously at least) in this our present stage of development and hopefully the next regime might have the political will to. By and by, there's too many stolen funds out there to the detriment of the larger society so I'd gladly applaud any legitimate move(for the sake of this convo) aimed at getting them back regardless of whose ox is gored. It's the masses who'll benefit in the long-run. Frankly I get that it is normal for beneficiaries to support their corrupt masters, what I don't get is the support from folks whose greatest achievement in life might very well be the ownership of a few social media accounts, no thanks to a corrupt system, clinging on to an illusion that there is anything there for them to lose when corrupt politicians are being probed. It just makes my head spin. |

goldedprince: I don't think you sir, have the smarts to be a criminal. This is not my wish for you but for educational purposes, when you get robbed, scammed or have any of your loved ones hurt in the future, I want you to think about your last paragraph and kindly not report to the authorities or even drive them away when they come to try and apprehend the perpetrators of any of those crimes against you and yours all because, since there are still free robbers/assassins out there, those who robbed you or killed your loved ones should also be left to go scot free. The way some of you reason. SMH. BTW, your last paragraph also voids henceforth your right to bاtch about any other thing in this life and that includes bad governance. 1 Like |

LWKMD! I knew it was only a matter of time before things got heated up in here with some hard facts. I was once in smaller sizes of your shoes OP (created a thread too). Luckily after almost making the same mistake (my opinon), I reconsidered. Left her everything, blocked and deleted her contacts to give me time to heal and then moved on. 2 years later, she called, apologized and we talk every once in a while on the phone. We might never get to meet again in life, but we don't have no beef and that kinda looks like a better way for me to feel than if I went to war(lol) on the matter. Certain things you just let go for yourself and not cos the other person. Infact, before she graduated I even sent her small money to get her out of a fix sef. It was nothing to me but meant everything to her. Life's easier that way except of course, money is of the highest value to you. 3 Likes |

Deepfreezer: Actually there are a couple of instances in history when peace has been achieved through war/force. Remember, it's been the militants who have been fighting the state without reply. The state will have to reply first then peace can now follow. 17 Likes |

skarlett: You comment is understood and made under an assumption that B.Mouth didn't have an insurance cover (information you do not have). Forget the sadly Nigeria thing, lots of income earners are/getting insurance covers (life, security, hazard, health, et al). And a celebrity is daily courted by account managers to avail themselves of any/most of those options. If we are to make assumptions like your sadly this is Nigeria statement (which is just wrong on so many levels), BasketMouth's probably insured against stuff like this. Thank you. |
![]() |
skarlett: Obviously you are not aware that people can and a lot of people are taking out insurance policies from a wide range of options currently available in Nigeria. That kind of information is free. |

makachy06: It would appear that a majority of the innocent (non-combatant) Deltans have been quite receptive of the militants given their very vocal support of the terrorists on social media. Granted, a few hundreds of innocents will be sacrificed (just like in the north east), however, there's a term for that - collateral damage. You can't keep drumming up support for terrorists and then go and scream innocent when the response is being prepared. Footnote: The poor Niger Deltan is a complete fool if he lives, sleeps and shits on water, all-day screaming Abo.ki when he can't question his leaders who only leave the comfort of their castles in Abuja to visit during election periods about the whereabouts of the Trillions of Naira being pumped into the region. 4 Likes 1 Share |
