You guys have been in a relationship for quite a good time. And considering all indications-compatability,finance,and all that, there is no excuse not rolling it into "the real thing". . . But the problem is he's not just saying those magic words(will you marry me?) to you. What measures are you going to take?
Career / Re: How Do You Cope With A Lazy Colleague At Work? by CaptCavey(m): 11:01pm On Nov 21, 2012
The personnel officer should be the one to inspect the performance of employees,so as to guide against idleness and redundancy. One need to be very careful accusing a co-worker of avoiding responsibilities and lazy, cus your boss might not think so. And a situation where the said person have a good relationship with your boss, which you couldn't have, you are likely to be the victim if things get out of hand.

davidylan:

then you've been doing a bad job as a parent. The problem is most naija parents never take the time to explain to a child why a behaviour is wrong... we just yell and beat.
you think? Picture a scenario where a parent who have been explaining to his kid why to tell the truth intructing the kid to tell visitors he is not home because he doesn't want anyone disturb his rest. I tell you the child will get confused whenever such parent come up with such preaching again. How do you explain to a 5-8 yr old for him to understand when is ok to tell a lie,and when is not ok to tell one?

I don't believe in spanking too, what am just saying is that,at that stage, kids don't really understand why they should or shouldn't do some certain things.

Shape a child as early as 5-8 and you should have little problems. .

Yes. But i believe any morals(good or bad) given to kids at this age by their parents can still be influenced easily because,at this stage, they still don't understand why they should or shouldn't do certain things instructed by their parents(like why telling a lie is bad). They just obey because their parents say stealing or telling a lie is bad.

I think from at least 13 yrs upward his able to understand some do's and don'ts on his own.

daylae: Keeps alot of things from the parent, doubting and challenging their judgments, rather, confiding in friends who are obviously going through such adrenaline rush. . .

this is the time parents should be careful not to push their teens away by being too harsh and authoritarian. It is normal for teens at that stage to question certain judgement concerning them,it is left for the parent to be wise and not just say 'just do as i say'. . . But for me,i will say the late teenage years are the most challenging and frustrating.

Religion / Re: False Prophecies Of The New Testament (bible) by CaptCavey(m): 5:58pm On Nov 19, 2010
Lagoshia: All your claims is either you don't understand or misconstrue the verses you quoted above,or you can't comprehend its misery. All the prophecies of the old testaments  literally been fulfiled already. And most part of the new testament same. But mind you, there is alot to come. Don't be in a hurry. A thousand years is like a day to God;and a day is like a thousand years to him.
The question is,where would you be after all is said and done? The bible is not like the quran that has no vision or prophecy of what to come. The bible is a guide. I just pity you and your boko haram brothers, for you're just sailing in a trouble water without a compass. No revelations of things to come in the quran.
How blinded you are.

And i thought so you wouldn't argue muslims most of the time rely on the bible for indepth understanding of God and things to come.
All the account of the past;and the prophecies of things to come can only be found inside the bible. Even the quran was partly carved from it,of course with some gingered perversions.

There is no other book, in the history of humanity, that has touched the lives of people;and has spoken the mind of God like the bible. It is the only book that talks about the past, the present;and the miseries of the future. That's why is the most widely distributed, even among muslims, budist, athiest and scholars;even though is the only book that's been subjected to massive destructions, and yet still stands.

Islam is just like any other earthly religion whereby humans do their all best, struggling within themselves to please the creator. The five pillar of islam is just a ruse;and a sham labour that can not take you anywhere. God is offering you the way to himself, instead you say you have another idea which is islam. Why confuse yourself? God is not a confusionist. And i hope you know that the so called man-inspired quran soly rely on bible refrences before it can make meanings. It is very common to see islamic teachers and scholars using the bible to validate the authenticity of the quran;and to ensure better understanding of the creator and his purposes . I av not seen christians do same. Maybe because the bible is truly inspired by God.

The muslims just believe thus: fast and be sober during ramadam, and you can go back to your former ways after the so called "holy month."
Go to mecca for hajj ,pace round the kabal, get a golden tooth, and throw stone at shaitan.
Bow down murmuring five times every day and pay your zakat;and aljannah is sure.

Poster: my advice to you is not to keep so much beard, cus the lake of fire in hell is so great that it will consume it even a million miles away. Muhamad is a witness to this fact!

Religion / Re: How Did You Become An Atheist by CaptCavey(m): 7:44pm On Nov 18, 2010
I think is more of a burden to believe there is no God than to believe there is truly a God. Any rational thinker won't say the former. Unless those who like to hide under the theories and hypothesis of some people who think believing such would place a limit on them  in their  various fields. To them, is much of a ego thing.

To believe or not believe in God is what you need to discover yourself. Forget about the "big bang" idea. Forget about darwins thought about who you are,or how you came about- evolution. These are just the thought of some people. Discover this fact yourself. If this world self-created itself by chance,i tell you, we'll have to live our lives and every other things by chance.
The universe, the complexity of creation is just too  perfectly complementing that we cannot let "chance" take the credit. I'll rather say i created the universe, instead of given the credit to "chance". Only losers wages all on chances aka uncertainties!
