Raphael Onyedika, Midtjylland's replacement for Frank Onyeka, is in the starting line up for Midtjylland vs Celtic Champions league qualifier.

He's isn't that big, he's just snapped with short players, let him take pictures with Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Konate then you would know if he's really big.

I'm happy seeing him train in the company of those players.

They showed up because they've a tournament to play.

BascoVanVeli:

Are the Mexicans not foreign based Is Lozano not Osimhen's teammate? Does Hector Herrera not play for A Madrid? The Mexican players also played matches like Nigeria but they still showed up.

The Mexicans have the Concacaf Gold Cup to play later this month while the foreign based players were already on holidays after the Cameroon doubleheader. You can't expect the foreign based players who are on holidays after a long season to execute the Mexican friendly when the friendly wasn't fixed close to the dates of the Cameroon doubleheader.

BascoVanVeli:

Where were you when I was asking why the foreign based players get to have a break Everyone here knows this match was wrong. Meanwhile the media is spinning it like the guys are already in preseason. Are the Mexicans not also based in Europe?

I'm not against them playing international friendlies but they should play against home based African countries and not the North American football giant Mexico.

BascoVanVeli:
I still want more international matches for the local guys. How can a team participate in 2 different tournaments (CHAN & WAFU) but yet no get togethers or friendly matches. The whole team had 7 caps put together and that should never happen when there is a local team available. U can only get international experience by playing international matches. I believe this was what the sports minister spoke about so I am keeping faith.

At least the main Super Eagles weren't as crappy and disjointed as this NPFL footballers, those matches weren't even friendlies for that matter.

BascoVanVeli:

So bloody what? Did they lose to a country like Madagascar or a country always in the world cup quarterfinals When the main super Eagles chop 4 goals in Benin City against 114th ranked Sierra Leone where were you

It's not about training together for 2 weeks, if they even trained together for 3 months, the result will be the same, mediocre footballers will always be mediocres no matter how long they train together.

timay:
4-0 not surprised.

I see some NFF and NPFL apologist giving nonsense excuses that those guys haven't played together bla bla bla. But they won't tell us how these guys have been training twice a day for two weeks straight. Yet they can't even string passes to each other comfortably or trap a simple ball. Wonder what they've been doing in training all these days.

See super falcons. Only trained for like 2 to 3 days, yet played well and didn't disgrace the country. They were more coordinated, do the basics right and played without fear even against the best women's team in the world and lost by a respectable scoreline.

Some of the players are a joke, Aigbogun their coach is a clown, and Amaju and his NFF goons that decided to prosecute this match with home based just to prove a baseless point or whatever are a complete circus

It would be a nice move, he would have to improve his work rate because Leeds players run a lot.

Leeds united interested in kelechi nwakali. His wonder half season at Alcorcon is attracting attention.
Besides I want him to go to Leeds. Marcelo Bielsa plays technical football and will get the best out of him. It will be a dream move. Leeds will fit him perfectly

Tomori should swallow his pride and change his allegiance to Nigeria. He would be Nigeria's best centreback by a mile, a perfect replacement for an aging Leon Balogun in the future, starting for AC Milan isn't beans and AC Milan wants to signing him permanently.

chrisooblog:
Tomori not in the provincial squad of England for Euro 2020 despite a stellar season with AC Milan. I know it's a long shot but can't the NFF change his mind? because if they don't think you are good enough when the likes of Ben Godfrey, Ben White and Conor Coady are in the team then it speaks to how they rate him.
