Sports / Again, Frustrated Ronaldo Throws His Captain Band by Ceoangelcee: 3:35pm On Mar 12, 2023 |
A combination of Al-Nassr losing to their title rivals and having Lionel Messi's name chanted at him left Cristiano Ronaldo taking his anger out on his captain's armband and water bottles . . Cristiano Ronaldo threw a strop after he was ruthlessly taunted with Lionel Messi chants before, during and after Al-Nassr's 1-0 loss to Al-Ittihad. Captain Ronaldo was unable to help his side as they suffered just their second league defeat of the season away to their title rivals, who climbed above them to the top of the table as a result. It was also a frustrating game on a personal level for the 38-year-old, as the home support just wouldn't stop chanting Messi's name at him. Some even brought the Argentina World Cup winner's shirt with them to hold up in the stands. . And come the full-time whistle it was all too much for Ronaldo, who ripped off his armband and threw it to the floor before booting a pile of water bottles as he made his way off the pitch. He was slammed for his actions by footy fans with one tweeting: "Ronaldo is such a man child, my goat would never do such disgraceful things." . https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/cristiano-ronaldo-water-bottle-armband-29420531#

Sports / How Messi Now Has More Freekick Goals Than Top European Clubs by Ceoangelcee: 4:17pm On Feb 20, 2023 |
Lionel Messi’s stoppage time winner for Paris Saint-Germain was good enough by itself, but made astonishing by the numbers behind it. The Argentine magician did very little in 90 minutes during the 4-3 win over Lille, but stole the show with seconds to spare. Winning a free-kick just outside of the Lille box, Messi lined the ball up and it appeared far too central for him to curl it around goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier. However, instead of naturally aiming for the top left corner, he bent the ball into the bottom right, and couldn’t have placed it any better as it glanced off the post and in. And in the stands, Messi’s wife, Antonella Rocuzzo, was among the thousands in attendance who could not contain their delight at the dramatic finish to the game. The stats came rolling in with the free-kick being his 699th career goal, coming shortly after his double in the victorious World Cup final. And it was also the 35-year-old’s 40th goal from outside the box since the start of the 2017/18 season. That is incredibly 20 more than any other player in Europe’s top five leagues during that period. Kevin De Bruyne is second on 20 goals from outside of the box, while 22 of Messi’s long-range efforts have been free-kicks, six more than James Ward-Prowse. On top of that, since the start of the 2018/19 season, Messi has 16 free-kick goals, with no club in Europe boasting a better record, as Southampton sit level on the same number. . The goal was so big for PSG, who were on a run of three defeats, that manager Christoph Galtier even joined in with the celebrations. Messi got big hugs from a delighted Kylian Mbappe and Sergio Ramos, before Galtier ran down the touchline to join in. Advertisement It wasn’t all good news for PSG, who lost Neymar to injury ahead of the second leg of their Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, but with Messi and Mbappe scoring, it might not matter. https://www.google.com/amp/s/talksport.com/football/1337327/lionel-messi-psg-free-kick-stats-highlights-wife/amp/

Business / Complete Foreign USD Transactions At 500naira Per Dollar by Ceoangelcee: 11:20am On Feb 12, 2023 |
Hello guys. I am a Russia based Nigerian and part of what prompted me to build this solution is the problem I faced while with obtaining forex during my migration process(I believe we all know about this forex issues in Nigeria at the moment and with things getting harder, it doesn't seem like a problem that will get solved anytime soon) . For clarity sake I will talk briefly about how this idea works. . It revolves around a novel Blockchain idea (now chill because I know people get suspicious when anything Blockchain is mentioned) that dictates the price of its primary asset (crypto asset) in each regions, fixing the prices according to the programmed Blockchain rule to ensure parallel exchange rates in each regions. (Countries, especially in Africa) . Now if this primary asset is tied to a valued product (like we are doing) such as a product that is in heavy demand in first world countries where these USD and high value currencies are domiciled, it means there will be high demand for the primary currency on the Blockchain. But since the Blockchain cannot mint these currencies and only relies on purchase from existing owners coupled with the fact that the Blockchain sells these currencies at varying prices in each regions, the Blockchain is able to grant you this primary currency at a rate of 500 naira per unit and sell the same to someone in the USA (for instance) at $1 per unit. Certainly five hundred naira to you is what $1 is to someone in the USA (let's just assume) which is the core functions of the Blockchain. 'VALUE' . This is the future of forex exchange. A future where citizens no longer rely on central banks for forex. It's one of the problems Blockchain can effectively solve. . As an end user, you do not have to be involved with the crypto assets, you just make an application for forex and the whole complex Blockchain system handles the rest. . . Security features are in place to ensure Blockchain rules are not bypassed. For instance this only works for foreign transactions. You can't send USD to your bank, you cannot withdraw USD to cash and right now each individual will have a limit of about $6k a year. . . The project still needs a lot of funding but it has a very bright future. . However if you like to be onboarded onto the network (this is free and right now it's all about collecting data and polls. The solution won't be ready for use till late November 2023) You can join my Telegram channel by scanning the barcode on my profile or message me on WhatsApp via my WhatsApp number on my Nairaland profile. . . I plan to also make important updates and announcements on Nairaland via this thread too. . . I will be glad to answer questions even on this platform if you ask me. This is not a solution I am afraid people might steal (Rather a solution I would love to see happening)and I would even like people to question the feasibility of the project and draw their conclusions from my answers. . . God bless Nigeria.
