Crime / See What Army Did To A Man For Failing To Pay A Debt He Owed His Aunt In Asaba(p by chie8: 10:02am On Jun 06, 2017
As shared by Harrison....

'ASABA - NIGERIA ARMY HIRED AND ASSAULT ONWUME FRANK FOR FAILING TO PAY DEBT.

JLAA received an SOS this morning calling to seek Justice for Onwume Frank assaulted by Nigeria Army in Asaba Delta State.

Onwume Frank was chained to a Iron Pole by the Nigeria Army and Cutlass and dangerous weapon was used to break every part of his joint for failing to pay debt.

HIS STORY

"I introduced a friend based on trust to my aunt who is a car dealer.he came to buy my aunt's faulty car for 550k without dropping any peny with the agreement that he would have to fix the car first before he starts paying.so due to the trust I have for him,the car was given to him by my aunt. Then after a while he stopped picking his calls,my aunt now asked me to take her to my friend's family and which I did.when we got there,we met with the parents and they told my aunt to give them some time to pay her,but after a while she got angry cos she never heard from them. then she called me that she was going to the guy's family to tell them to get ready as she's going to come with a native doctor to do some native stuff since they don't want to pay. So after warning them, she went with the juju man and did what she did.then after my aunt noticed I was beginning to be successful, she turned to me that I should pay for the car. But I told her to give me sometime to look for my friend as I was already making my own moves about getting him.but my aunt was just too obstinate that she started asking me to sell my only car so I can pay her if I don't have the money. Now,because I refused to sell my car or handed it over, the son came to my house with a Hilux that contained five army officers. They took me to their base at ifunnaya street in Asaba ,handcuffed me on iron pole and started hitting my back brutally with cutlass and other harmful weapon"

What concerns Nigeria Army and debt recovery?

We are going into investigation to bring the perpetrators of this act to Justice.

Politics / Amidst Tears,Otodo Gbame Residents Killed By Governor Ambode Buried(photos) by chie8: 8:40am On Jun 05, 2017
As shared by Adeyeye Olorunfemi....

'Amidst tears, the relatives of those who lost their lives during the not only illegal but wicked eviction ordered by GENERAL Ambode, bury their dead. Over 18 dead bodies were not found. Some of the Otodo Gbame inhabitants were thrown into the river by the officers of the Lagos Task Force and they drowned. The living are also in extreme fear. Who knows what could happen to them in the next minute.

All these are happening just directly under our nose and we still come out to praise these Vagabonds in Power (VIPs). Our Civil Society Organisations also have gone to sleep. Why won't they even sleep!?'when most of them are fed from the thievery of the system. I can't just forgive myself for forgetting to attend such event as I had to attend an event over the weekend at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. Please don't comment under this post that God will punish or judge these VIPs because I would only be more infuriated. Instead, we need to organise against this broad daylight land grabbing, impunity, murder and robbery.
Nemesis from the Masses is around the corner!
RIP Victims!
We need to ask Ambode who his next victims are'

In his narrative while handing over the Range Rovers, the Controller Tincan Island Port, Comptroller Bashar Yusuf disclosed that the interception was sequel to intelligence report from Interpol. He stated that the vehicles loaded in a 1x40ft container No. UACN 548368\1 was imported from Washington D.C in the United States of America and declared as Toyota Tundra and Chevrolet Cruiz with some bicycles. He stated further that based on the intelligence made available to Customs from Interpol, all consignments from the United States were placed on high surveillance to ensure that the suspected container is tracked.

“The vessel was monitored from the port of loading to Tincan Island Port and was intercepted on arrival at the Tincan Island Port”. The vehicles are Gold coloured Range Rover Suv 2014 with Chasis No.SALGS2VFGEA126188 and one black coloured Range Rover Suv 2015 with Chasis No. SALGS37FOFA239330.

Generally speaking, he was emphatic that the interception will portray the country in good light considering the concerted effort of the service in ensuring that the exhibits were tracked. He reiterated the need for Nigerians to desist from acts capable of bringing the country to disrepute, particularly in this era of Information Technology where interception of this nature will be Internet based. He vowed that the Nigeria Customs Service will resist any attempt by any individual or organization to use Nigeria as a conduit pipe for illicit transactions and noted that Interpol Nigeria will subject the vehicles to due diligence investigation through the Courts and will eventually use their internal mechanisms for repatriation of the vehicles to the United States

Politics / Fayose Visits Family Of Late Ekiti Ex-gov,col Bawa In Jos,Gives N25m Scholarship by chie8: 8:43am On May 29, 2017
The Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, on Sunday in Jos, pledged to donate N2.5m yearly for the period of 10 years to the children of the first military administrator of the state, Lt. Col. Mohammed Bawa (retd.), who died in a private hospital in Jos last week.

He also said that the Ekiti State Governor’s Residence built by the late MILAD would be named after the deceased.

While describing the death of Bawa as shocking, he said it would remain a great loss to the people of the state, “who are appreciative of his pioneering role as the first MILAD in the state.”

Fayose made the promise when he paid a condolence visit to the residence of the family of Bawa located on Musa Bot Street, Rayfield, GRA in Jos.

The governor re-echoed his promise later in an interview with journalists, following the plea by a friend of the deceased, Maj. Chris Edoga (retd.), for assistance.

While responding on behalf of the family, Edoga appreciated Fayose and described the late Bawa as a true leader who accommodated everyone.

“Late Bawa left three children, one of them is schooling at the Nigerian Turkish Nile College in Kano, another one has just secured admission into the same school. Their mother died shortly after giving birth to them.

“The family will appreciate it if the Ekiti State Government would take up the responsibility of their education to the university level,” Edoga pleaded.

Fayose, who was accompanied by his Plateau State counterpart, Simon Lalong, described Bawa as “the pathfinder and father who went out of darkness to ensure that Ekiti becomes a great state out of darkness.”

Fayose said, “I have pledged N2.5m each year for the family, for the next 10 years. It will be properly documented and will be binding on the governments after me, because we are doing this for a leader that had served our people and he was the first governor, whether military or civilian. All we know is that he was our first governor, and the house he built as the Governor’s Residence will soon be named after him during his remembrance when his family visits Ekiti. That will show that Ekiti is another home for Bawa.

“Bawa came to Ekiti State at a time we needed a man like him for the take-off of the state and despite the odds he met on ground as the first military administrator of the state, he practically brought water out of stone to lay a solid foundation for Ekiti. It is an understatement to say he worked assiduously for the progress of our state. He did work tirelessly for our state and its take-off.

“The government of Ekiti State will stand by the family and do the needful, because late Bawa remains our pathfinder and benefactor. Before his demise, I used to talk with him and he gives advice especially when he reads from the newspapers about Ekiti State.”
