Education / Re: "I Am Sincerely Sorry" - Lead British School Student Issues Apology For Bullying by chieni(f): 6:39am On Apr 24 |
Omoawoke: She bullied and got bullied back. I believe she has learnt her lessons and knows how it hurts Make una forgive am, we’ve all done one thing or the other we aren’t proud of.
An eye for an eye is the best teacher. Let people knows how it feels to hurt others, when they feel that same pain, they will be more loving towards others because they can relate. Bullying is cowardice, it’s a shame and no respect for humanity. You want to show that you are the boss and you are badddd. But otherwise you lack common sense and human empathy . I don't think she is sorry. The school must have been the one to set up the video in my opinion. She must be punished so it serves as a deterrent to others. They might not want to take the matter seriously, especially because she is from a wealthy family. 3 Likes |

Should I tell you what my wife did for me? She noticed my mood. Came and hugged me and told me don't worry you will win another day. Made food and gave me When the child was disturbing my eating time she called them off Served me chilled drink And faced the fan to my side. After some minutes I felt better and energized.

Whats the big deal in just ascertaining the DNA of that child in other to quickly clear the air of any doubt... But No, she kept acting like she has skeleton in her cupboard. What happens if the child happens to be Mohbad's child? Is to cut ties with the family for the humiliation. |

Eddodoh: I have being in one of the northern states for sometime now but nothing seems to be working. The state is dry, no jobs. The highest job one can see is Security job with very little pay.
Recently, i have being getting job interview invites from Lagos but my concern is that i have to travel, attend the interview & probably have to travel back waiting for possible calls if at all i succeed. I feel it's best if i stay in Lagos to make it easy but where to stay for the main time is my problem. In fact, i have interview schedule for Monday but i doubt i could attend.
There are also NGO jobs in the North. |

salvationproject: I am a fresh graduate, left NYSC few months back and recently landed a graduate trainee job at one of our commercial banks here in Nigeria. But I have been afraid recently. This is because I will be under sales/marketing. And I have been hearing of all these 50m, 90m, etc. deposit targets. Training school will be commencing soon and a part of me is telling me not to report. Please, who have experience how these things work? Advise me please. If you don't have anything doing at the moment. I will suggest you take. I know of someone that was in the same situation as you are. She was finally promoted. So you won't be in the position forever. It is a stepping stone to a higher position. Also have a plan. How many years do you want to stay on a marketing position. |

I am not bitter but telling you that which is the truth.
We are having a massive wave of health care personal who attended almost free tuition education leaving almost immediately. Yet if the government decides to remove subsidy on education it is you people that will cry the most
A whole lot of Nigerians won't be able to afford tertiary education if the subsidy on education is removed. A whole lot.
Now they give you subsidy on education and immediately you're done you claim Nigeria is this and that
P.S. I mentioned government inadequacies too and said they should increase payment and emuloments for health workers, recruit more and fix the sector
But you claiming because health workers are paid so and so in Europe and America is why you are leaving almost the same. Did the health workers in Europe and America pay the same as you paid in Nigeria for Education?
Capital NO.
Most of them even took student loans that the pay for years.
The government is even magnanimous for making it 2 years. I would have made it 10 Really cheap education? The fact it is cheap for you doesn't mean it was smooth for other people. There are people who had to struggle to pay this cheap education you are referring to. You also can't compare the system here to the USA. Nigerians are not running away from paying tax. The question is will the money be put into making the country a better place for citizens to stay and not Japa? |

The government is even magnanimous for making it 2 years. I would have made it 10 I just hope you are not like our politicians who say A and do the opposite. Hope you wish same for your ward who is in the nursing or medical profession. That they also stay 10 years in a country where the Government doesn't even care about its citizens. It's a choice. There are people willing to stay back in Nigeria regardless of the situation and there are also some who crave for a better life because they have dependents looking up to them. You don't just sit down and make decisions on behalf of others. I hope you are also based in Nigeria. |

Raphael81: Our healthcare is in shambles and has gone into coma, this is a ploy to stop nurses from seeking Greener pastures, why won't our healthcare practitioners run away when nothing is working in this country? They should also enact laws prohibiting political office holders from going abroad for medical reasons. We are not a serious country as our laws are made to suffocate the poor and the elites feed fat at the expense of the poor. exactly! 1 Like |

post=128355323: We thought that has always been in place and that is what the employer abroad require. You can't just finish nursing school and immediately take the next flight abroad to start working with no experience. They won't allow you make you come kill dem citizens nah, You sef think am.
Our Research from Experience Nurses in 'the abroad'.....
Educational / Professional
In order to seek work as a foreign-educated nurse, you must demonstrate at least some of the following:
You graduated from an accredited nursing education program in your country of education You are licensed as a Registered Nurse in another country You’ve practiced as a Registered Nurse for at least two years before. Some foreign educated nurses must demonstrate their proficiency with the English language by taking an exam such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic). There are exemptions depending on your country of origin
Their experience during NYSC and housemanship makes it two years. All of this is just a tactics to prevent them from relocating abroad. They know the right thing to do. Make it better for people to stay back. |

MasterShifu010: Hello nairalanders , I just got a business proposal in Lagos, and I’ll be moving to Lagos . At the moment I don’t know how long I’ll be staying , but it won’t be short , am nervous because I’ve never been to Lagos before , and the stories I hear about Lagos which include traffic (worst night mare ) and agberos (I’ve never seen one in my life ) , and the person I’ll be staying with has just told me that Lagos is a rough place .. I grew up in a cold environment and I heard Lagos is hot . So guys pls, especially those in Lagos , what should I prepare for , the place I’ll be staying is ojota , I’ve googled about the town , but I’m still not satisfied , so I need feed back from real people . Thanks guys as you share your opinion . My advice. You will survive. Just be determined and resilient. You will adapt and probably come to the conclusion that it is hot but not as hot as people exaggerate, depending on the weather. By the way not all conductors are lousy. Most of them are willing to help. However be sensitive. Regardless of what state you are based in, you have to be sensitive. |
