buckeyemedia:
Buhari is not Nigeria, Nigeria will continue to be here long after the President’s tenure is over, it is not personal, we the people of Nigeria (Federal Government) suspended twitter. Period.

We the people did not suspend Twitter at all. There was no referendum or vote that took place to in Nigeria to Ban Twitter.

The federal government did not even suspend twitter because neither the senate nor house of reps gave approval for Twitter's suspension.

The person who suspended Twitter is Buhari via an executive order; without the consent of any legislative arm. So you cannot say that we the people suspended Twitter

The Platform has NOTHING to do with Nigeria, it is Nigerians that have something to do with the Platform, because Millions of Nigerians earn their living from being on twitter Platform.

I suspect that m0r0ns like you dont know the difference between 'Nigeria' and 'Nigerians'.
One is the Country, the latter is the People.
The People (Nigerians) can (and will) access Twitter without Twitter being located or registered in Nigeria and the People will still be here, accessing Twitter, long after the likes of Lying Mohammed, Malu-ami, Buhari and their host of fools, are long dead and buried.

Take that to the bank. undecided

If PPP does what it is supposed to do then we cannot say it "inflates" the GDP

That is a misrepresentation
A haircut may cost £20 in the UK and 500 Naira in Lagos

A haircut is a haircut is a haircut

The aim is to correct for distortions in exchange rate etc. It does not always reflect "lower" standards of living. It may be a reflection of monetary policy

Some places e.g Switzerland and Japan have a high cost of living it des not reflect higher or lower standards
Some countries e.g China are accused of currency manipulation and so cost of living is relatively lower in China. In PPP terms China has a much higher GDP

Also the fact that countries like the UK have hollowed out their manufacturing could mean that major parts of China have a much higher standar of living for much less the cost

You are correct that it doesn't always reflect lower standards of living. But it does pther times especially in Africa's context (when compared to developed nations)

And PPP is based on a lot of assumptions and prone to manipulation (like you have highlighted) that makes it too subjective to be a measure for comparison.

In essence this guy @rossiminku should stop spreading false claims on what he has no idea about

Oga there are many companies abroad that don't want Nigerians. PayPal is one of them.

Your market is full of fraud. Twitter can easily forget your market just as PayPal as done even though we have pleaded with PayPal.
Amazon affiliate service is another. The list goes on. But these companies have presence in other African countries. So, why didn't they choose Nigeria? Middle class kor, Middle class ni grin
Poverty capital of the world with over 80 percent of 3rd hand cars on the road in the entire country. Baba, u really think Nigeria is important? Hahahahahaa. Nigerians use vpn and undergo mindblowing stress to access many websites that don't want Nigeria.

I just pity Nigerians in the south becus they are the ones these policies affect.

Biggest middle class in Africa and biggest economy in Africa, with an annual GDP of 1.16 TRILLION dollars per annum, calculated by PPP (Purchasing Power Parity).

Twitter, by comparison, earned 1.2 billion dollars last year.

That is chicken change for top Nigerian business conglomerates, not to mention the Nigerian govt.

Twitter is shiit compared to Nigeria.

You're clearly a dunce because you don't even understand what PPP - purchasing power parity; entails and you using it to make stupid claims as the dunce you are. You saw 1.16 trillion and your Illiteracy ejaculated.
PPP is a discounted technique that inflates the GDP of developing countries because it is subject to lower standards of living, lower income; cheaper labour, raw materials, etc. It is like putting the price of 3 bedroom flat in lagos at the same price of three bedroom flat in london. And this why nigeria's ppp looks high to you. Although i'm certain that the acute illiteracy in you will note make you understand.

What Nigeria makes annually is 400+ billion as measured by gdp. Of which 70%+ is from its oil. Not the ppp nonsense you're talking about

Twitter needs Nigeria 1,000 times more than Nigeria needs Twitter.

And if any of the platforms refuse to comply with Nigerian law, they will be kicked out of the Nigerian market.

Now run along and go sing for your white master, little slaveboy.

I'm very certain 'STUPIDITY' is your middle name. How does Twitter need Nigeria 1000 times more?
You really have no idea of the real-time efficiency and effectivenes that Twitter or social media brings to everyday life.

Instead, you are running dirty mouth over something that you lack in great deal. Your government that banned twitter did not deem it fit to provide an alternative social media platform that will simplify the lives of Nigerians; yet slaves like you are still supporting them. It must be really traumatising for you being a slave on your own land and to your fellow people.

And because you are ignorant of Twitter's efficiency, recognise that many Lagosians (including myself) were able to avoid the Armed Robbery that occurred on Eko Bridge today because of the timely information we received via Twitter specifically; not via any other Nigerian media offline or online

Let them come and Ban it Anambra, Imo, Abia ,Enugu or Ebonyi states

Police are only making mouth in Delta because the population of Igbos are not much.

Regardless Delta Igbos are Igbos and they have every right to raise the Biafran Flag. It is our Identity.

cool
Here's the thing. Authorizing the release of the voice notes will confirm 2 things.
1. That Network Providers actually record private call sessions between paying customers without their permission.
2. Make everyone realize that there's nothing like privacy when it comes to the network providers who we trust with our funds and data.

Maybe they're both the same thing but you get the point.
Look for the right and legal means to get your facts else you'll just be the same as the evil people who are fighting to keep this matter silenced.

Best of luck though.

Telcom companies anywhere in the world have a database for every single conversation on its network from the day it opens business till the day it winds up. They are only required to treat such data with confidentiality. And they are backed by law to do this.
