Dear recruiters, First, I'd say a big thank you for the opportunity to send in CV's and for the taking out time to chat with the hopes of being a prospective candidate for expected job. But please after waiting for months on end, will it be too much to ask for a response to be provided on if the candidate was successful or not? Because it gives such candidate long hopes of expecting the special phonecall on getting the job and the expected delay entering into months only dashes such hopes. I only ask that you help such candidates by letting them know the outcome on time without letting it span into months. Thank you From a concerned job seeker.

Frontline or ET? When was your panel interview?

Seems its only those who had their interviews on 25th that are getting replies. So those who had panel interviews on the 18th with no response have been screened out?

Hi, did you get any form of scholarship from UCW even if it was $1?

Folaroyal:
Dear friends, i see a lot of people requesting information about the genuineness of university canada west UCW.....

I only happened to have just applied like any other person really!!..and then i begin to wonder why guys are so worried about this institution being a private one and why they don't take admission fees.... some even say its a scam uni.. !!
Meanwhile UCW isn't the only private University in Canada.

My main and only concern should be to confirm if it is approved by the government to host international students.... and which of course it does... with a DLI number.

The common thing about the private institutions either Uni or colleges is that they apply a lot of incentives to get students enrolled... what more do we expect from a for-profit establishment??

That's why most of them wont usually request application fees and they even call you up to follow through your application process.

And most of the schools aren't cheap!!.. UCW for instance charges about 40k for MBA and more if going through the foundation program (pre-MBA).

You can always romance google when in doubt or mail appropriate govt agencies to clear your doubts. Learn to use these tools at your disposal. When i was in doubt if one can apply for a study permit in USA while on visiting; i mailed los Angeles and got a feedback same day!
Good luck guys!!!

Regards

Thanks. The course i just completed is business related, same as the new course. My visa would expire in February. is this period too short to apply for a renewal?

justwise:

1.Well yes you can apply to continue your study here as long as the application is made before your current visa expires.

2. Is the new course you want to study related to the one you just finished?

I have been a guest on nairaland and discovered this thread lately. i have some questions.

Please do Canadian Universities assess MSc transcripts with Bsc transcripts if i am to apply for a Masters degree? I have a masters degree from UK, with a stellar grade i dont know if this is relevant? My CGPA in the last two years was of my UG was 3.49. Would i be admitted for a pre-masters course in University of Manitoba for instance? or gain direct entry to ottawa? I have been having the urge to apply to these schools based on what i have read here?. I don't know if i am following the wrong path.

Also is it really advisable not to disclose a previous masters degree such as that of UK in an application when your passport would show you have been granted a UK student visa?
