You are right my brother
That is why I made this thread for others to learn from. However, there has been a burning flame in me to leave where I was as 99 percent of the staff are depressed and mentally drained. Nobody is thinking but want to leave at the slightest opportunity, it is that bad. When I resigned almost everyone I know are reaching out to show them the way out.

You are right but some businesses will frustrate you to make a rash decision
No matter the situation, do not make rash decisions. It's your life that you are talking about here. You have to validate every single detail before you move.

Health / Re: I Can't Smell Please Help! by CHM11: 10:36am On Jan 30, 2021
Isolate or quarantine yourself!. get ginger, honey and Lemon, make a warm tea of it and take it periodically.
Its most likely SARS Covid 19 (we all react to it differently, but loss of smell and/or taste is common).

Try to retrain your nose by smelling strong things like perfumes, strong scented soaps and candles etc. Those I know that lost their sense of smell regained it after like 1 month (could be more) of conscious effort. So do not fret, it will be back. Could be frustrating not being able to smell. A friend ate soured rice without knowing cos he couldn't taste or smell.

There is nothing wrong with your nose, it's just the nerves that interprets the smell your nose cells pick up that has been attacked by the virus. Eat well, take tea (ginger, lemon, etc), Vitamin C tablets, and multivitamins to help repair the damaged nerves.

Hi all, I hope someone can help me with this...

I sat for and passed the Zenith bank graduate trainee program test on Thursday 26th of September 2019. I know I passed because I was asked to stay back and fill the HR questionnaire form. I filled it and submitted duplicates of my documents at hand but the issue was, as at the time, I didn't have my NYSC discharge certificate and I told them I'd be getting it on the 3rd of October. Someone from HR called me on 2nd October and asked if I'd gotten it yet and I told him no.

The thing is, I've gotten the discharge certificate now and I'm wondering if I should call them and tell them

Religion / Re: Is Taking Alcohol Responsibly A Sin ? by CHM11: 7:03pm On Sep 03, 2019
newsynews:

Look at this one. It's people like you I hate. You go about with false doctrine and boast as if that is exactly what the Bible teach. You are even subtly telling people to stay away from pastors. Now let's examine your claim.

Which great guys drank alcohol? Perhaps, you think the word wine means alcohol Everytime it is mentioned.

Jesus didn't drink wine, he was only falsely accused of being a drunkard. Let's see the passage clearly.

Luke 7:33-34 King James Version (KJV)
33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

John was only eating locust and wild honey, he didn't like normal food. For that, they said he had a devil. Did John have a devil? No. This means he was falsely accused.

Jesus loved normal food and drink etc eater, non-alcoholic wine, but those false accusers called him a glutton and a drunkard. According to you, because those people accused Jesus if drinking alcohol, then it means he use to drink it. Why not also believe it when they said he was a drunkard and a glutton?

You don't have to hate me. That's very unchrist-like!!!

I didn't say people should stay away from pastors..I said 'gods of men'...there's a very big difference.....I am only replying you because you sound sensible to some extent as someone that could learn or be learned from.

I'm not one of those who follow the general opinions of everyday Christians. I follow what is in the bible.

To the topic of discussion without throwing any banters,..I repeat Jesus drank wine (and I can confidently tell you that wine as used in the bible is a product from Vinegar and that's alcoholic) no twisting of words here. That's why everywhere the bible cautioned about drinking, the word 'wine' is used. If it was non alcoholic, why will the bible caution about its abuse?.
Jesus did have a drink (wine) and ate occasionally with sinners so those who were looking to hold him with accused him of being a drunk. I believe that he wasn't a drunk but he did drink and eat responsibly with sinners hence the false accusation.

The water to wine miracle is also alcoholic wine too.

You can do your true research online if there is anything as nonalcoholic wine for real. What you will see is complex Esters and chemical extracts. Even the only non alcoholic wine (from grape fruit) that exist now (prepared by advance distillation in the 20th century) for real is a product of preparing alcoholic wine from grape, then using distillation to separate the alcohol from the fruity esters. Yet its still not 100% non alcoholic. The wine is the bible is alcoholic.

You might have heard and believed something since you were born doesn't make it right. Not that I'm saying I'm right either but study your bible without bias or a preset mindset then the real truth about the word of God will be shown to you.

Drinking alcohol is not a sin,..abuse or misuse of alcohol can lead to sin as you can lose control over your senses when you abuse it. Zero alcohol intake is the best but we shouldn't add to or remove from the bible because we want everyone to conform to our personal logic and standard of morality. That's not what Christ preached!.
Religion / Re: Is Taking Alcohol Responsibly A Sin ? by CHM11: 1:02pm On Sep 01, 2019
So many great guys in the bible drank alcohol. Even Jesus too changed water to wine and was known to drink and eat with strangers and sinners. And yes, Jesus drank alcohol that's why some people accused him of being a drunk and a glutton in Mathew 11:19.

Even getting drunk and sleeping as u said is not a sin, but if it becomes addictive and takes the place of worship in your life then it is a sin as you are placing alcohol over God.

Be free from these gods of men. Most of them are empty vessels. Study the word of God yourself, read and meditate for a discerning spirit. Nothing is more beautiful than being a free true christian. It is a beautiful religion!!!.

Hello CHM11,

Luckily I came accross ur posts in the section. I'm also currently in Zemith's recruitment process, and I would like to know if you got in as I have some infos I need.

I had gone through medicals but I was called in for second medical. I got to know when I waa about having the medical that theu are testing me for hepatitis B. I became worried so I had me teated from an hospital and the result came out positive. I'm depressed RN. I don't know I get to have this. It's beyond me. The doc. Said it could be from Barbing saloon.

My questions is: I haven't been contacted by Zenith as per their own test. Do you by any way know if I have been dropped off this recruitment process? Thanks
Yes I worked with zenith some years ago.
I don't think they will drop you because of Hepatitis B. They usually recruit every time, receiving the offer is most likely based on branch needs close to your location. If a branch close to you is in need of more hands, they will call you to come pick up your offer and resume.
Just chill, pray, be hopeful and keep trying your hands elsewhere.

#the above is just my personal opinion.

Pls those that have been contacted for interview in Abuja, please type the full number that messaged you, I misplaced my phone and I need to contact them. Thanks
For those in the system or that have once been in the system, what professional courses should be done to get converted or even promoted. Is NIM good enough for conversion. Thank you very much for the prompt response
NIM is not relevant. ICAN, ACCA, CFA etc will get you converted immediately you get chattered.

I am not in the system now but I dont think this is currently do-able. Last time I checked, people spend 3-4 years on the same level (though there are exceptional cases).

I got an invite for the interview on 20th Dec. I just noticed they included bio data page of intl passport.
please any info or advice on that
All staff of the bank uploads their biodata page for reasons best known to the banks management. Asking for Biodata page at interview stage is probably a new development. Maybe they want to confirm your age or other information about you.

Do you have an international passport? are you applying as a GA?

Whoever wrote this is painfully naive if s/he's thinking these are part of Atiku's plan.. There's a reason Atiku and his co-travellers keep shouting restructuring without exactly breaking it down to the points listed by the op (which are noble by the way).

Atiku in clear terms should be able to tell us and break it down

- Is he for state police?
- Is he for 100% resource control? (He has answered this already saying as much as he would like it, Nigeria can't achieve it now)
- Is he for devolution of Abuja powers?
-Regionalism? etc

And not just shout I'll restructure Nigeria.

do your research next time before commenting. search 'Atiku on restructuring' on Google.

Thanks bro.

I just want to appreciate you for all your replies right from when I was invited for the test. you've never relented in giving out relevant information. I have finally secured the appointment and received my offer letter yesterday. I'd be resuming on Monday.

If you have any advice for a fresher like me, please, I know your benevolent person won't hesitate to say it.

Thank you for all your time.

lol josh josh,..you just resumed with probably one of the best banks in Nigeria. Congrats bro.

Advice?.. huuuum, I would advice that you approach the job with a very open mind. Complain less, learn, dont join the crowd, stand out!..start ICAN or ACCA as soon as possible if you intend to stay in banking for long. Even if you want to leave banking but still stay in finance.

Different branches have different supervisors, HOPs and branch heads...some are total jerks, but the majority are awesome persons. Learn to read people and approach issues professionally. plsssssss never you compromise on your integrity.

I know its a personal thing, but if i was you, i will see this job as a stepping stone to something much much better. This is the time you should rev up your engine and define what you want to do in life because before you blink in this your new job, 6 years would have passed you by and you probably got promoted/converted once.

use this allawee that they will be paying you to enhance yourself professionally; Masters, ICAN, CFA, ACCA, business, skills etc

Very important point: You will see 80% of your contract colleagues complaining and talking trash about Zenith management, they are wicked, they are bla bla bla...bro just ignore, you cant change management from your cubicle...what you can change is the value you add to yourself...keep improving, applying for nee and better jobs, start your life from here.

leave the complaining for the complainers...most of them will still be there complaining to the next generation of fresh intakes...i pray that you would have moved ahead in life by then
i wish you the very best.
