It is called "common sense" dude! No sensible organization will make such decision based on some silly chats that can't even be inked to its potential employees. I don't have to know nothing about nlng to know that.

common sense is relative dear friend. what is common to A might just be a high IQ situation to B. its all about being informed about the situation in view.
as it concerns the situation we find ourselves now, some persons might be more informed than others.

Too much childish statements on this forum now that it is becoming increasingly boring to read...Na wa o! What is this laughable talk about our comments here affecting the recruitment process of a company? Who even knows if we are the true potential employees or just some random people claiming to be? Guys, grow up, abeg!

Bro I understand, some HR do go through nairaland, that's why is not advisable one post questions and interview questions oñ this forum. Just that the way he said they will increase the regret mail was really funny.
They can only increase regret mails when cheating is involved not by comments. IMO
if they initially planned to absorb some and keep some on waiting, but candidates keep complaining on a public forum in a way that could tarnish d company's image. They could as well just add some of the proposed waiting list people to the regret mails to simply give them closure.

there's more to this recruitment than what we know on here. He might just know much more at the moment.

is it a new thing as it relates to recruitments in Nigeria? na wa o...I've had first hand experience with a company that sent regret mails to people that were initially on waiting list all because of a post on NL front page ... a friend in the company HR confirmed it as the reason for dropping the waiting list peeps. This is Nigeria bro...weird things do happen. if Nigerian army takes online comments as important,...I know Nlng also takes it serious.

Ohh.. CHM11.. You've not been reimbursed too.?
Ok naa.. But that does not validate the theory which you guys are propounding.
If some people were reimbursed, and it happens that those ones whom NLNG have selected were not reimbursed, then, it means that NLNG have given away the results of the exercise even before the exercise finished., which I know NLNG is smart enough not to even think of doing..
The reimbursement is no big deal. The budget is little. The ones that are pending might be having issues with the account details they supplied, and I believe that NLNG must be working very hard to rectify them.
Thus, when they rectify the issues with the candidates, they reimburse them.
I got my transport allowance exactly 31 days after my AC.
My earlier post was me just being sarcastic and playful. There can't be any connection between the AC outcome and transport allowance.
Those still waiting, I hope the issue causing delay is rectified soon.

South South Region Guide

The South South region of Nigeria comprises of six states and is strategically located at the point where the Y tail of the river Niger joins the Atlantic Ocean through the Gulf of Guinea. Though a relatively small stretch of land, the south of the country provides the economic mainstay of the economy: oil. In addition to oil and gas, the region equally contributes other key resources, with potential huge investment opportunities in tourism and agriculture.

Akwa-Ibom State - Promised Land

Akwa-Ibom is located in the coastal part of the country, with an area of 7,081km2 and a population of almost five million. The state shares boundaries with Cross River State, Rivers State, Abia State and the Atlantic Ocean, with Uyo the capital city. The main languages in the state are Ibibio, Annang, Eket, and Oron. Akwa-Ibom has a rich historical and cultural heritage with major attractions like the Ibeno Sand Beach, Oron Museum, Mary Slessor House and monument tomb.

Akwa-Ibom State is the third largest producer of crude oil in the country and is endowed with various resources such as natural gas, salt, silver nitrate, limestone, clay, coal, and glass sand.

Bayelsa State - Pride of the Nation

Bayelsa is located in the lower southern part of the Niger Delta region, and its capital is Yenagoa. This state is blessed with many historical attractions, like the Slave Transit Hall and cultural festivals (Ekpetiama Okelede new yam festival, Odemimon festival, Otuoke and others), and houses a population of two million people occupying an area of 10,773km2. There are 10 languages spoken in the state; of these, Izon, Nembe, Ogbia and Epie-Atissa are the most predominant.

Bayelsa State, a major oil and gas producing area,
accounts for over 30% of Nigeria’s oil production and is also renowned for fishing, farming, trading, carving and weaving. With the majority of the state under sea level, over three quarters of the area is covered
by water and consists of a maze of meandering
creeks and mangrove swamps. In addition, Bayelsa
has large reserves of clay, sand and gravel which are
of utmost importance to the industrial sector.

Cross River State - The People’s Paradise

[quote]Calabar is the capital city of Cross River State. Being a
coastal state, it shares boundaries with Benue State
to the west, Abia State to the south and the Atlantic
Ocean to the east. The major languages spoken in
Cross River State are Ejagham and Efik.

Cross River State is home to some of Nigeria’s most
beautiful scenery. Over half the land is covered by
tropical rain forests, making it one of the world's
biodiversity hotspots. The state is also blessed with
natural resources like oil and gas, limestone, kaolin,
clay, salt, barite and quartzite.

Delta State - The Big Heart

Delta State has Asaba as its capital and is made up of
25 local government areas. There are various solid
mineral deposits in the state which include crude oil,
industrial clay, silica, lignite, kaolin, tar sand,
decorative rocks and limestone, with many serving as
raw materials for industries
Some major tourist attractions include Nana's Palace,
Koko, Asaba Beach, Abraka River Resort Motel
and River Ethiope. There are also traditional festivals
in every community; the Ishe Festival for peace and
progress in Ewulu town, the Edjenu of the Agbarha
Clan which takes place only once or twice in a
lifetime and the Oki Masquerade of Torugbene.

Edo State - Heartbeat of Nigeria

[quote]Benin City is the capital of Edo State. The state is
endowed for its abundant natural resources of crude
oil, clay, chalk, marble, natural gas and limestone.
Edo is home to several ethnicities with 18 local
government areas. There are many tourist attractions
in the state: Oba's Palace in Benin City, Ramat Park,
Sakpoba Holiday Resort, the Emotan statue in Benin
City, Ise Lake and River Niger Beach in Agenebode,
among others.

There are over 100 major festivals celebrated in Edo
State between September and March annually.

Rivers State - Treasure Base of the Nation

[quote]Port Harcourt is a cosmopolitan city and capital of
Rivers State, which makes it the second largest
commercial centre in Nigeria. Rivers State boasts a
diverse ethnic population of over six million people
and occupies an area of 11,077km2. The major
languages are Ijaw and Ikwerre, although 23
languages are spoken altogether.

Rivers State accounts for over 40% of Nigeria's crude
oil production and food production - no wonder it's
called the 'treasure base of the nation'. In addition,
there are two major refineries and seaports in Rivers
state, with various industries spread across it.

The south south is a region in the lower part of Nigeria, they are a beautiful, culturally diverse and naturally blessed people with very rich histories. The South South is home and mother to various minorities who have been through a lot and have learnt from the anomalies of history. The south south people include, the Abayon, Abua (Odual), Adim, Adun, Agbo, Akaju-Ndem (Akajuk), Anang, Andoni, Anyima, Anioma, Bachere, Bahumono, Bekwara, Bette, Bini, Boki (Nki), Degema, Ebana, some Ebirra (igbirra), Ebu, Efik, Egbema, Ejagbam, Ekajuk, Eket, Ekoi, Engenni (Ngene), Epie, Esan (Ishan), Etche, Etsako, Etung, Etuno, Gokana (kana), Ibenno, Ibibio, Ijaw, Ika, Ikwerre, Ikorn, Isoko, Isekiri (Itsekiri), Iyala, Izondjo, Mbembe, Mbube, Nkim, Nkum, Ododop, Ogoni, Ogwashi-uku, Okobo (okkobor), Okpamheri, Okpe, Olulumo, Oron, Owan, Qua, Ukelle, Ukwani (Kwale), Uneme (Ineme), Urhobo, Uyanga, Yache, Yakurr (Yako) and many others

Just because they supported Jonathan as far as they are concern, south south owe them. We south south must learn to separate 2015 election from Niger delta struggle and Biafra.

Only a shortsighted south south will support south south being part of Biafra. What we want is resource control or our own nation not Biafra.
Joining Biafra will be our greatesr mistake. Igbo should form Biafra and let south south form its own confederation or different nations. Joining Biafra will be worst than south sudan. Anybody in d minority tribe who refused to agree with them will b destroyed.

My uncle was forced to join the biafran army at 12 years. He has been on/off mental institutions for years now as a result of the truama. Something my mum's family are yet to forgive the Igbos for.
So sorry about that. There are a million things that happened in the past that have completely built a bridge between some major tribes. Just the same way the igbos hate the Northerners and the yorubas for the Biafra war (which they ridiculously call genocide), its the same way some major tribes in the SS hate the igbos.

Consider the following with a clear conscience.

The igbos were the most successful tribe in the country during the pre-war era even though the administration of the country was in the hands of the North. Thanks to minister of finance, Okotiebo. The country was still at peace as all tribes could live in other regions peacefully but the igbos were the most decentralised as they could do business in the North, SS, and SW peacefully and successfully. This wasn't good enough and with military power, Aguiyi Ironsi (from anambra) commanded his subordinate (Kaduna Nzeogwu) to carry out the first coup,...Northern leaders were killed by these soldiers in a very ridiculous way. Worse there is an interview where Major Nzeogwu was bragging about how they killed the Northern soldiers in disgustingly ridiculous ways.

This was what led to a reprisal attach by the Northerners and many igbos were killed in the North in return. Nobody went to the east to kill anybody, the east was peaceful.

Oil was just discovered in the Niger Delta region (which the igbos considered as their subordinates). Then the wanted to force the Niger Delta region into Biafra. The biafran Soldiers started from Calabar, forcing all minorities into their army. They went to akwaibom, ogoni, portharcourt, Bayelsa, ughelli, Warri, Sapele, Auchi, Benin, Okada and even Ore. As they went the killed those who refused to join them.

Then when they got to Ore, the yorubas defended their land by fighting back. The Yorubas had been silent all along and the igbos went as far as their homeland trying to invade their land.

Then came the return invasion by the federal troops who helped all SS states and when the igbos were all caged up in their hometown in SE, the federal troops had mercy and didn't attack dem till they surrendered.

Then Ojukwu Ran away to abidjan and the wise Phillip Effiong who was cajoled into the igbo dream went straight to col. Obasanjo and Obasanjo lead Effiong to go and apologise to gowon who gladly accepted his apology.

Today the igbos play the victim like they wernt the ones who started the attack from the first coup.

The invasion of minority tribe lands in Cross river, Akwaibom, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo and even parts of Ondo by the Biafran Army, the igbos are quick to forget all these. They just want to play the victim all the time.

Definitely. Any SS person that wants to join them should be free to go. But threatening violence and forcing it down SS throats? Mba!
Seconded. They think we can't remember how the biafran soldiers killed many innocent Niger Deltans from Ogoni land through Delta, through benin and even down to Ore in Ondo state. When the got a reply from the Nigerian Army, they started wailing and playing the victim. They even tried going to Yoruba land but was resisted at Ore. Today, they are trying to form relationship with south south people. We don't forget easily!!!!!.....

Just go for your biafra if you have the mind.....marriage Is not by force.

Hey, Yoruba folks, leave the Igbo biafra drama to us the SS. We can handle them ourselves. I just need more SS people to speak up against this madness. Don't just silently disapprove. Speak up.

I'm in support of their Biafra dream, they should secede but they should do that peacefully and with only those who share their views. Many of us in the SS will most likely love to be on our own, not with the igbos.
