This is not a negative email. It’s just saying AIP isn’t a study permit and you can’t travel with an AIP. Stay positive Ifelajulo: |

This looks positive to me. The outstanding might have been entered before you gave your biometrics. I can see the “may accept employment..” talk and eligibility passed, so it looks positive. Congratulations in advance. Stay positive Eilenora: 1 Like |

Hello Papapa1234, Don’t let the negative words get to you. Though it might have come from a good place. In my opinion, you should give it a try. Do the required work of researching and getting information that would help you package a strong application. What did you study in your first degree? Is it a bsc? Since you have second class lower, you should be looking at post graduate diplomas or post graduate certificates. Is your business registered? What line of business is it? You can decide to go to the same field as your business or previous study. You need to select a good course that shows career progression Write a every strong SOP (statement of purpose) Have the required funds Prove you will come back home after your studies. And everything will fall into place Best wishes Papapa1234: 1 Like |

Hello Priceless200 In addition to what @Dbankx1 said. Please check your bank limit. Some banks still have their limits at $100, which is way below the application and biometric fee. Best wishes Priceless200: |

It’s been more than 2 years. I don’t think it’s necessary. I’ve been seeing your questions and I’m scared you’ve not fully understood the procedure. It’s not a crime to ask but your questions show you need more knowledge. I’m pleading with you to read this thread from page one till the end before you apply. I see you plan on submitting this week. Please read and understand everything to avoid errors. May you be successful. Best wishes Dbankx1: 1 Like |

Hello TwentiesGirl Yes. You don’t need to do undergrad in Canada to qualify. In fact you can go directly from Nigeria if you have a masters and work experience. it’s calculated based on some factors and you get points. If your points are up to the set cutoff point, you will be eligible to apply for PR. But to get points high enough, you should have a degree, masters, and work experience. 3 years preferably (if it is foreign work experience) if it’s Canadian work experience route then 1 year of working in Canada is enough. If you’re married, there are other factors to be considered (this is an oversimplification, for you to understand it well, you need to read and research yourself) There is an express entry thread here on nairaland, please see link below https://www.nairaland.com/6081746/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled Please read the link below as well https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/works.html Best wishes TwentiesGirl: |

Hello jogojogo, Sign your sponsorship letter SOP does not have to be signed, you should write your full name at the end (if you want to sign, go ahead) For the forms, if you’re applying online, you don’t need to sign, you’ll give a signature at the end right before you submit your application (this is clearly stated on your GC account, kindly read it) Put dates in the required spaces. Best wishes jogojogo: |

Hello Dbankx1, You do not need to sign any form by hand if you’re applying online. Before submitting your application, you’ll give a signature (by writing your full name) that will cover for everything. Just put dates where needed. Best wishes Dbankx1: |

Hello adeenzo, You can choose to wait for a medical request or do an upfront medical. As the form shows, it’s just you signifying if you need a medical exam for your visa. Not everyone needs one, that’s why they explained situations that require one and asked you if you need one. Since you ticked yes, you’ll get a medical request(if your application is positive). But you can still do an upfront medical if you decide and send it to them. Best wishes adeenzo: 1 Like |

Hello Legacyedition The note might not have much information since your application is just 2 weeks old. You might want to wait a bit before applying for it. But if you insist, you can go ahead as you’re allowed to apply for gcms as many times as you want. Best wishes Legacyedition: |

Hello Oreoluwamipo Seeming desperate for an admission is not totally a bad thing in my opinion. Did they give any room to add additional documents? (I know some schools give a space and say, if there’s any other information you’d like us to know please attach it here) If there’s something like that, you can attach all these extras there. Best wishes Oreoluwamipo: |

Hello Oreoluwamipo You used “quite” That shows it’s not very obvious, especially for someone not in the field. I know this discussion is about your admission but when it comes to the visa application, you can’t assume the officer knows it’s “quite related”. Thankfully you have work experience in HR, so it won’t be difficult at all to explain why you’re going for HR with a pol science degree. Best wishes Oreoluwamipo: |

Hello Oreoluwamipo I don’t think it’s about the schools not wanting students. Some haven’t put the proper covid facilities in place, so they can’t receive students. The list of those who have the facilities will be published today. Those are the ones that will be allowed to receive students. Oreoluwamipo: 1 Like |

Hello AdoChel Congratulations on your admission. The next step is to prepare for your visa application. I’ll advice you to apply online. You’ll need your letter of acceptance, valid international passport, recent passport photographs, proof of fund (bank statement and other financial documents), client information (any other important doc you want to attach, like your bsc certificate and transcript, resume/cv, birth certificate, etc), you’ll need a CAQ if your Uni is in Quebec You’ll receive a biometric request after you submit your application, then you can go to the centre and give your biometrics. You can do your medical exam upfront (before or shortly after submitting your application) or you can wait for IRCC to send you a request to go and do it after you’ve submitted. At the bottom of this page you’ll see numbers, those are page numbers for the thread. Click on 1 and start reading, read till the last page and when you’re done you’ll be totally prepared to apply. Once you read it, everything will be clear. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask Best wishes AdoChel: 1 Like |

Hello Dee4Doyinsola You can order your gcms notes to see the current state of your application. If you have been approved, you’ll see it there. To do that, just google “GCMS notes sites Canada” and you’ll see several websites you can order it from. It costs between $15-$20 cad and can take up to 35 days to be ready. If you have anyone in Canada to order it on your behalf (citizen, permanent resident or temporary resident) it would cost $5 cad only. Getting an AIP is a good sign though.
