Hello, sorry to hear about the refusal. From what I can see, the total sum of money wasn’t the problem. The lump sum deposit without explanation was. When depositing huge amount close to the date of application, you need to explain where the money came from with proof. Did you sell a property? Was it a gift from a sponsor? Etc There were also other reasons stated apart from financial. They sort of point to your statement of purpose (SOP) You would need to write a stronger SOP, explaining your study plan and why the course would be beneficial to you There was also a complain of weak home ties. Do you have siblings? Parents? A business? Land? Any property? These might help tackle this What did you study previously? What line is your current job? Is any of this related to what you’re going to study in Canada? If you’re reapplying with your cousin, you will need to show his source of income. If he’s employed then you’ll need his payslips, letter of introduction from employer, proof of his employment. If he’s a business owner, you’ll need his business registration documents. To show proof you can attach birth certificates of your parents who are related (it will show that your parent and his parents have same parents, as birth certificates usually carry names of parents) For example if your mum and his mum are sisters. Attach your mum’s birth certificate and his mum’s birth certificate. Both of their birth certificate would list out their parents and it would tally (if they’re full siblings from same mum and dad) All the best Onweke: |

Hello, There is something call the the post graduation work permit (pgwp) You get time after studies to work, the time you get is based on the number of years/months of the program you studied. This applies to certificate course, diploma or masters, as long as they meet the rules for pgwp (the rules are in the links below) If you study for 8 months to 1 year you’ll get 8 months to 1 year pgwp If you study for 2-3 years, you’ll get 3 years pgwp There are some conditions to be met to qualify for pgwp (both you you and the institution you attended) Please read the below links. They have all the info you’re looking for. You can go with your family if you have enough money and your application is tight enough to be approved. Please note that if you’re older and you’re going for BSC you’ll have to tell the visa officer what you’ve been doing since your secondary school completion with convincing solid proof. If you want to further your studies after doing a previous course, you’ll have to apply for another study permit (show funds etc) as soon as you’re completing/shortly before completing the first course because study permits are given for the duration of your program. So that permit most likely would be expiring after the first program. You can do that from within Canada. Please check that you have been sending it to the right place. If I were you, I would send it again via web form and email. Include my application number, UCI number etc (this is what I’ll do if I were in your shoes) Also if you haven’t contacted the clinic, contact them and make sure your result was sent. wolepopo: |

No one can answer this. Things have gotten very unpredictable with covid. Getting a medical request is a good sign though. If you want to see what’s happening with your application, you can order your gcms notes. Just google gcms notes and you’ll see how to order it. Costs about $15 and can take up to 35 days to be ready. If your application has been approved, you’ll see it there. But hopefully a positive response would come before the gcms notes. No further action is required. The clinic would send your result to IRCC. Just keep the paper you got from the clinic properly as your proof. To learn more about this, please read this https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/medical-exams/requirements-temporary-residents.html Sirromey: 1 Like |

Hello. Unfortunately I have no idea. The best person to ask would be your university/institution. Or the ISA(international student advising) of your university, if that’s available. Nastan: 1 Like |

Hello Abimbola, I’ve seen your question previous pages back and some gurus gave their advice. Hopefully you saw all of that. Your dad can be a sponsor from anywhere, just attach your birth certificate to prove the relationship. How old are you? Some people have applied without jobs or without putting their statement of account and got visas. But your age matters. What is this Pgd in? Is it finance related? Did you order your GCMS note to see the specific reason for your previous rejection? Those issues raised by the visa officer must have been worked on, and you should explain that in your LOE - letter of explanation He can transfer your living expense to your personal account (and you state it in your sop or he can state it in his sponsorship letter) so they can see you have access to his funds. I do not think different addresses will be a problem as long as they both bear his name (but this is just my personal opinion) if you’re unsure you can stick to using 1 account. Meanwhile, please try to get something doing from now even if it’s unpaid. Voluntary, internship, whatever. Even great if it’s finance related. All the best Abimbolakay123: |

Hello. What embassy? Applications are either done online or via paper route through VFS. And I think VFS has been closed for some time now due to covid. How did this agent apply for you? Online or paper route? And when (date) did the agent apply for you? What embassy website are you trying to visit? If an agent applied for you, then the communication will go to the agent (to the best of my knowledge) and then the agent is meant to keep you updated. Bennysmart: 2 Likes |

Hello. She should order her GCMS notes to see what’s happening. For many people, decisions have been made but haven’t been communicated to them. From the notes you’ll see if any step has been failed and also the visa officer’s final notes (if already available) To order the notes you can use third party websites, just google GCMS notes and you’ll see how to order it. It can take up to 35 days for it to be ready after ordering it and it costs $12. All the best. FariDk67: |

In that case, you should be considering a post graduate diploma related to your previous field of study or work experience. I think there are some post graduate diplomas that can be gotten with ND (correct me if I’m wrong house)Please wait for more knowledgeable people in the house to give their advice. Meanwhile, please start doing your research, looking at schools and courses and their requirement for international students. Take your time and do it right, to reduce chances of rejection. Hello, Process admission without a course? I have never heard of such a thing. It’s most likely a scam. What will you tell the visa officer via your SOP (statement of purpose) that you are going to do in Canada? Age is not a limiting factor. Study/educational gaps are generally not a problem if you can explain what you have been doing since your last studies with proof! Have you attended any school since finishing your waec? What have you been doing since then? Please do the work of reading and learning about gaining admission and study permit (visa) It’s a good thing you found this thread early. It has loads of information. Please kindly read page by page starting from page one and your knowledge would increase. Don’t just put yourself at the mercy of unqualified agents. Nobody can do for you as much as you can do for yourself. Do your research, read a lot and if anything isn’t clear, please free free to ask questions on the thread. All the best. Pace6: |

Hello, Interviews are not needed for Canada study permit except in very rare cases Q-life is one of the approved clinics for the medical exam. Try to follow up with the agents and ask for every single information. Read this thread from page 1 until the end and it will give you a good knowledge of the application process, maybe you’ll be able to help if something wrong is being done concerning your relative’s application. Hello, typing everything in caps is a bit distracting. (1) Let him defer his admission to a later start date. (2) Order his GCMS notes immediately to see the specific reason for denial. You can google GCMS notes and you’ll see how to order it, it costs $12. It can take up to 35 days to be ready. (3) Once he gets the GCMS notes and sees the visa officers comment(s), he can then repackage his documents and letter of explanation and reapply. All the best Londonboi7960: 1 Like |

Hello, I bet it’s really upsetting . I’ll advice every other person, once some months have gone with no feedback, order your GCMS notes to see what’s going on with your application. From the note you’ll most likely find out if anything has gone wrong, instead of just waiting in limbo. ayoadefantastic: 1 Like |

It has worked for some people. But I honestly don’t know if there’s a fixed rule. Maybe gurus in the house would have an idea. But 2 years ago is a long time, and many things have changed. Some people put in almost no effort and got visas 2-3 years ago. But we can see that it’s getting difficult as the days go by. How much is her tuition? And what type of scholarship is it? ayoadefantastic: |

I think it is always advisable to include funds even if one has funding/scholarship. Her SOP should also be worked on. Maybe a guru in the house can help her review it or get a paid professional. But most importantly please order her GCMS notes right away as it can take up to 35 days to arrive. Google gcms notes and you’ll find how to order it, it costs $12. With this, you’ll be able to see the visa officers comment and work on it before reapplying to prevent another rejection. All the best. ayoadefantastic: |

Hello, I’m not an expert but 1 and 2 are possible. But 2 might be “easier” as she can use you as home ties. But leaving an 8 month old baby behind might also raise a red flag. If she’s applying with the baby, she’ll have to make day care arrangements for the baby and prove that it won’t affect her studies. If she’s applying with you and the baby then you’ll need to have other ties to your home country and a good financial standing that will compel you to return to the country after her studies. I’ll wait for the gurus to throw more light into this. @frankrobbn donbuscka: 1 Like |

I’m sorry to hear about the refusal. Please let her order her GCMS notes to see a more specific reason. What was her msc in? Is it related to the PhD she applied for? Was her statement of purpose well written? What proof of funds did she submit? Hopefully gurus in the house can throw more light into this. @frankrobbn1 ayoadefantastic: |
