The female student seen in the sexual encounter video between the headmaster of Breman Eduman D/A Basic School in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District of the Central Region, Robert Sepey has said the sexual act was consensual.
The girl told the police that the headmaster did not rape her but they both agreed to have sex.
According to the Director of Public Affairs of the Central Regional Police Command, ASP Irene Oppong, “She [the female student] said: ‘The man never raped me’, so now it’s up to the Ghana Education Service (GES) to take over and also investigate if there is any code of conduct that the man has violated.”
The headmaster, whose name has been given only as Robert Sepey, is seen in a video believed to be recorded by him during the alleged act.
The youth and opinion leaders of the town are therefore calling for a mass transfer of all teachers in the community as they claim the phenomenon has existed for long and can’t be allowed to continue.
In the video which has since gone viral, Mr. Sepey is seen with the girl (name withheld) kneeling in front of him on a kitchen stool as he engages in the act.
ASP Irene Oppong has cautioned the public to stop circulating the video adding that anyone found culpable will be arrested and face the law.
“The problem now is the circulation of the video. We have some names that we have information that they circulated the video, so, for now, we are looking for them, we have invited some to come this morning, others are on the run and we are using opinion leaders to look for them,” she said on Accra-based Citi FM.

Busari Rukayat, 23, has narrated how she was raped by a suspected land grabber, Ade Ikudaisi, in Ajegunle/Malato, Itaoluwo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State. The man then went further to insert kolanut in her private part.

The seamstress, who is critically ill and receiving treatment in a private hospital, said the rape occurred about a fortnight ago, at about 2pm, on her way from Church.

Rukayat said the suspect, Ade Ikudaisi, popularly called ‘Omo Iya Pupa’, was seated in front of his house when she was passing by. She offered him greetings and then he requested to send her on an errand, which she obliged.

Ade Ikudaisi, however dragged her when she moved closer to him, into his room and then en-charmed her. She further stated that the the suspect ordered her to take off her clothes and then placed a traditional sash on her shoulder and a silver bead round her neck.

She claimed to have been forced to step on some cowries and Ikudayisi allegedly murmured incantations on two kola-nuts which he inserted into her female organ.

She couldn’t get help at that moment, as the suspect had already covered her mouth with a cloth and no one could come to her rescue even after she shouted for help.

The victim, who claimed to be a virgin at the time of the alleged rape, said she pleaded for mercy but quoted the suspect as insisting that what he required was a virgin.

“I struggled with him till about 5pm but he overpowered me and raped me after which he threatened that I will bleed to death if I dared to expose him.I kept this to myself for days until I was struck with a strange ailment which compelled me to open up to my parents”.
On hearing her story, the parents reported the incident at the Sagamu Road Police Station where officers were assigned to the alleged scene of crime for investigation.

But on getting to the scene, policemen requested that the suspect should follow them to their station but he excused himself to dress up and ready his car to drive everybody to the station only for him to escape through a back door.

It was learnt that all efforts to trace him proved abortive.

Narrating his experience to the SSA during the courtesy call in Abuja, “as i got back home, I received an alert showing that a QR1,502,000 had been credited into my account by mistake instead of QR150,200.

“I went to see the manager to report the error of QR1, 502,000 deposited into my account. After checking for confirmation, the manager gave me a warm handshake in appreciation.”

Asked why he alerted the bank about the error, Asemota said:“I knew the money did not belong to me and shouldn’t be in my account in the first place, so there were no motives and temptations to keep it.”

He advised people faced with similar situations to ”immediately notify their bank to avoid any potential problems as the bank will eventually trace their mistake back to your account and withdraw the mistakenly deposited money.”

A 17-old boy identified as Emmanuel Gyan, has been arrested for allegedly killing his mother over a missing memory card at Wassa in the Western Region, Ghana.

The accused, on Monday January 15, allegedly accused the mother of taking his memory card and subsequently confronted her on the missing item. The deceased, Faustina Agyeiwaa, 52, denied any knowledge of the missing memory card but Emmanuel wouldn’t take the mother’s plea.
According to Wassa Police, Isaac became furious over the matter and attacked the mother with a pestle, hitting her on the head several times. Not satisfied with the beatings, Emmanuel removed firewood from a nearby fire, burned the mother with it until she succumbed to the injuries and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, a man killed his aged mother, September last year, because she was always insulting him.

According to him, he has always being victimized.

A young boy simply identified as Caleb also butchered his mother in Benin City, Edo State.

The tragic incident happened at Iyamu Street off Textile Mill Road in Benin City.

According to online report, the boy killed his mother and completely smashed her head with a bottle.

Also, a 26-year-old South African man killed the mother of his one-month-old baby boy for refusing him sex in Midrand, South Africa

The man, said to be originally from the Eastern Cape, stabbed his 23-year-old girlfriend, Isabella Dease repeatedly, leaving her body in an open veld in President Park outside Ivory Park, Midrand.

The horrific murder happened on Saturday, 14 days before the start of the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign.
