Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (aka Winners’ Chapel International), David Oyedepo, has cursed the killers of the resident pastor of the church’s branch in Romi New Extension, Kaduna State, Jeremiah Omolara, Igbere TV reports.

The pastor was shot dead while his wife was kidnapped along Kaduna-Abuja Road last Sunday.

The son was said to have escaped the attack.

Oyedepo was visibly upset on Thursday night when he spoke on the killing at the Day 2 of the church’s Week of Spiritual Emphasis, according to Church Gist on Facebook.

“Just last Sunday night for those of us who may have heard the news, one of our pastors was hacked down by Fulani herdsmen from Abuja to Kaduna,” he began.

“I want you to know, that it’s the last they will do (Amen) because I am going to lead you now to release curse of God upon his assailants and all their backers.

“Except I am not sent, their end has come. This evil system will crash. And I am speaking as a Prophet, not as a pastor, like somebody walking on the street. This evil system that has no value for life, this wicked system – Fulani demons: In the name of Jesus, their end has come.

“Cursed be these Fulani herdsmen, cursed be their generations, cursed be their sponsors in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, we have cursed,” Oyedepo said.

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Defence Headquarters to begin investigation of the incident involving the troops of 93 Battalion, Takum, Taraba, which resulted in the death of three police officers and a civilian.

Chief of Air Staff, Sadique Abubakar, said President Buhari gave the directive on Thursday during a meeting of the National Security Council at the State House, Abuja, Igbere TV reports.

“The council also decided that the unfortunate incidents in Taraba State in Ibi, a committee will be setup under the Defence Headquarters to critically look into the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident,” he said.

Police and the army had earlier announced a Joint Investigation Panel to investigate the incident.

Abubakar also said that the council evaluated the current strategy of managing internal security operations across the country.

“We are making substantial progress in all the areas of conflicts,’’ he said.

The air chief said the introduction of technology and drones to fight crimes was also discussed.

A Federal High Court in Lagos has directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to detain the former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Maurice Iwu.

Iwu was arraigned on Thursday on a four-count charge of concealment, fraud and money laundering of N1.2 billion, Igbere TV reports.

The former INEC chair denied the charges.

Justice Chuka Obiozor ruled that Iwu be remanded in EFCC custody till Friday when his application for bail will be heard.

EFCC alleged that Professor Iwu aided the concealment of the sum of N1, 203,000,000 between December 2014 and March 2015.

The sum was said to be in the bank account of Bioresources Institute of Nigeria Limited and domiciled in the United Bank for Africa, UBA Plc.

Iwu is said to have been involved in the N23.29 billion poll bribery scandal allegedly shared by former petroleum minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke, to influence the outcome of the 2015 presidential elections.

The House of Representatives has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for obeying the court order granting Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), leave to seek medical attention abroad.

Igbere TV had reported that a Kaduna State High Court, yesterday, granted the Cleric leave to enable him and his wife, Zeenat travel to India for medical attention.

Justice Darius Khobo while granting the IMN leader the leave said he would travel in company of Kaduna State government officials.

He said the IMN leader must return immediately after his discharge from the hospital to face his charges.

The DSS while acknowledging the court order, said the Service would comply with the directive.

“This is to inform the public that the Department of State Services (DSS) has received the order granting Ibrahim El-Zakzaky leave to travel to India for medical treatment. Consequently, the Service is liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance. Conformity with the order is in line with the Service’s avowed commitment to the Rule of Law inherent in a democracy”, it said.

Reacting to the development, Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu told Igbere TV on phone that the decision of the DSS to obey the order has further confirmed their willingness to respect the independence of the judiciary.

Kalu representing Bende Federal Constituency, said also that the move was an indication that the present government respects the rule of law.

“The House of Representatives commends the DSS for confirming our confidence in their willingness to respect the independence of the various arms of government especially the judiciary”, he said.

“You will agree with us that the independence of the judiciary is critical to the success of our democracy. We consider this an indication that the rule of law is prioritised and respected by this government.

“The court ruling was made to ensure the good health of the accused person. It does not stop the judicial arm from tidying up the process of his trial upon his return. Recall, it was not an application for bail that was granted.The matter is still before a court of competent jurisdiction. It will be contemptuous, for us to speak in details on such sub judicial matter.

“Functional democracy is better achieved in a healthy atmosphere of independence yet close partnership among the arms of Government. This was one of the proposals of the 9th House of Representative’s Joint Task of Nation Building – promoting understanding between the arms of government for the interest of the citizens.

This is a new dawn in our history of democracy, we are determined to work with all the arms of Government to take the narratives to the Next Level and With the support of the people, the effort of the present government to sustain the rule of law will be achieved”, Kalu added.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has confirmed the death of a Nigerian, Odemu Efe, at the Kaliti Prisons in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The commission said Mr Efe died of HIV/AIDS according to the death certificate issued by Ethiopian health authorities.

Reports had suggested that Efe, a native of Warri, Delta State, died of an undisclosed ailment.

The commission said the Nigerian Embassy in Ethiopia revealed that “the former inmate had been seriously ill and taken to two different hospitals in Addis Ababa before he passed on”.

It also said that contrary to a statement credited to a woman, Chika Nwachukwu, who accused Nigerian officials of neglecting their countrymen imprisoned in Ethiopia, the Nigerian High Commissioner to the country, Adeoye Bankole, visits inmates regularly.

Bankole was said to have visited the Kaliti Prison in January 2019 with another visit scheduled to hold between August and September.

The chairman of NIDCOM, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has condoled with the deceased’s family.

Efe was serving a five-year prison sentence in an Ethiopian Penitentiary having been convicted for drug trafficking.

He had only served over a year before his death on July 13.

The commission said his burial would be undertaken soon through the assistance of Ethiopian authorities and witnessed by the consular representative of the Nigerian Embassy.

Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has ordered the immediate suspension of the chief medical director (CMD) at the Umaru Shehu Ultra-Modern Hospital and four doctors who stayed away from work.

Zulum had on Tuesday met no doctors on duty during unscheduled visits to some hospitals in Maiduguri, the state capital, Igbere TV reports.

A government official had said Zulum was shocked not to have found a medical doctor on duty around 1 am at Umaru Shehu Ultra-Modern Hospital.

“When the governor made a phone call to about 10 doctors on duty to ask why they were absent, none picked the calls,” the official said.

A statement by the governor’s office on Wednesday said the CMD, Dr Audu Usman, had been suspended ‘for his failure of leadership’.

“The affected doctors include Dr. Musa Chuwang and Dr. Chijioke Ibemere who absented themselves while on call has also been suspended.

“Dr. Baba Ali Malgwi, who was second on call, was suspended over his inability to respond to telephone calls during the Governor’s visit.

“At the same time, frantic attempt to reach him was impossible even when he lives within the doctors’ quarters located around the hospital,” the statement said.

“Similarly, Dr Esther of the Pediatrics department, who was supposed to be on duty, was found absent and also suspended.

“All medical doctors attached to the accident and emergency unit are to be queried for their absence and the lack of duty roaster.”

The governor also ordered the CMD of Borno State Hospitals Management Board to comply with his directive and take measures to ensure all gaps are filled.

Instagram is cracking down on accounts that primarily post memes, deleting popular pages that have amassed millions of followers.

Dozens of accounts with over 30 million followers combined were deleted without warning. The removal is permanent, meaning there’s no hope for the users to get their accounts restored.

According to various news reports, one user was earning up to $30,000 a year through partnerships and using the money to pay for college.

A Facebook spokesperson tells reporters that the accounts were disabled following multiple violations of platform policies.

Earlier this month, Instagram updated its account removal policies. It can now remove accounts that have a certain number of violations within a window of time.

Edo State Government under the leadership of Governor Godwin Obaseki has described as ‘unconstitutional’ the directive given by the Senate for a fresh proclamation for the inauguration of the Edo State House of Assembly.

The Senate on Tuesday gave Mr Obaseki one week to issue a fresh proclamation or the National Assembly would not hesitate to take over the functions of Edo Assembly in line with constitutional provisions, Igbere TV reports.

However, in a statement on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie, the state government said that “this illegality will not stand”, adding that “powerful persons not be allowed to set our State ablaze merely to satisfy their thirst for power and control.”

The statement said: “The Edo State Government maintains that there is nowhere in the Constitution particularly Section 11(4) which enables the National Assembly to ‘take over’ any House of Assembly or in this respect, the Edo State House of Assembly.”

The SSG added that “It must be further observed that it has always been the contention of the Edo State Government that the power to issue a proclamation for the inauguration of a House of Assembly as set out in Section 105(3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria was duly and completely complied with and it is not within the power of the Governor to recall same once issued or to perform the same act multiple times. Once the Governor issues a proclamation letter, his job is done.

“We call on all persons of goodwill to call the powerful wielders of ‘power and authority’ in Abuja and elsewhere to refrain from acts which are clearly unconstitutional, undemocratic and a flagrant disrespect for the principle of due process and separation of powers.”

The leader of the Northern Elders’ Forum (NEF), Professor Ango Abdullahi, has said that there is nothing wrong in appointing service chiefs from one region of the country.

Professor Abdullahi expressed displeasure over criticism that trailed the appointment of the inspector general of police, Mohammed Adamu, because the latter is from Nasarawa state, Igbere TV reports.

In his defence of the appointment of the Inspector General of police, Mohammed Adamu who is from Nasarawa state, Ango expressed displeasure over the criticism that trailed it.

He added that Service Chiefs don't make security decisions based on the regions they are from but for a broader interest.

Professor Abdullahi said: "It's very sad that there is insinuation here that, for instance, the chief of police now is from Nasarawa state, is he going to take decision based on the fact that he is from Nassarawa state or perhaps on a larger scale that the fact that the IG of police is from Nasarawa state and Nasarawa state is a state in northern Nigeria, so he is chief of police from the north and, therefore, there will be no consideration on police matters concerning other parts of Nigeria?

"This is very sad, very dangerous argument that is being put forward. How many offices are we even talking about and you are saying lopsidedness of offices?

"Have you looked at the offices in the civil service and those that occupy them, so what is the fuss all about? Are they parochial or are they biased in the discharge of duties concerning other parts of the country?"

After two unsuccessful marriages and 20 years without child, a woman has been blessed with five babies through in-vitro fertilisation. A Ghanaian woman, who was thought to be infertile after 20 years of being married without a child, was blessed with quintuplets.


45-year-old Maame Cynthia welcomed her bundle of joy, two daughters and three boys, at Sam-J Specialist Hospital at Haatso in Accra.

Cynthia revealed how her first two ‘impatient’ husbands divorced her due to her inability to conceive but that, she stressed, did not deter her from hoping to celebrate the fruit of her womb.



So when she remarried and was still facing the problem, she trusted God and the miracle happened.

With the support of doctors and nurses at the Sam-J Specialist Hospital.

She said: “I can smile at the storm.” Cynthia urged women struggling to have children to be inspired by her story and faith in God. Meanwhile, a gynecologist at the hospital, Samuel Amo-Mensah, was happy the IVF was successful.

He said the five babies are under observation in incubators to ensure they don’t get any infection.

“Mother and babies are doing incredible; we are so happy with how everything turned out,” he added. Amo-Mensah said IVF is bringing relief to a lot of homes in Ghana, but the only challenge is the high taxes on the imported tablets for the treatment.

He appealed to the government to reduce the taxes on IVF tablets to make the treatment more accessible to couples in need.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been conferred with “The Grand Cordon of the Knighthood of Venerable Order of the Pioneers”, the highest national honour of the Republic of Liberia, Igbere TV reports.

The president is the Special Guest of Honour at the country’s 172nd Independence Anniversary.

He was conferred the honour on Friday by President George Weah.

Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, said “the award is presented by the government for outstanding and distinguished service in international affairs, government, religion, art, science and commerce, Igbere TV reports.

“It is also for singular acts of philanthropy and deeds of heroism and valour.”

Delta All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Ima Niboro, has said that the Delta State ministerial nominee, Festus Keyamo, could be the much-desired elixir to bond the different factions of the APC in the state.

While congratulating Mr Keyamo and Rotimi Amaechi on their appointments as ministers, Niboro said that Delta APC may well have been provided a common rallying point in Keyamo, who he described as “a friend to all and enemy of none”, Igbere TV reports.

“Given the far-sighted decision of the APC Mainstream faction led by Olorogun O’tega Emerhor to terminate all pending litigations, Keyamo is in a pole position to truly unite the party and be the impartial arbiter we have always sought.

“With a hopefully direct access at the presidency, we believe that through Keyamo there might be a direct ventilation of things Delta before the president himself, in order to bring home more and more dividends of democracy to our people,” he said.

Niboro also congratulated the leaders of APC in Delta, particularly the Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, and O’tega Emerhor, noting that Keyamo’s appointment is as much a victory for them as it is for all Deltans.

Nigerian football club, Shooting Stars Sports Club, popularly known as 3SC, has been hit by a wave of resignation by from its top-tier staff, Igbere TV reports.

Head coach of the club, Edith Agoye; General Manager, Rasheed Balogun and Team Manager, Dimeji Lawal, have all announced their resignation from the Ibadan-based club.

The resignations come after the Oluyole lost 3-0 defeat to Akwa Starlets in a promotion match at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, on Monday.

The defeat consigns the club to another season in second-tier.

“We tried to get the (promotion) ticket in January in Aba, it didn’t happen. This time again in Asaba, it didn’t come. So having tried twice consecutively and were unable to get it done, it is important we stepped out for others to come in,” spokesman of 3SC, Tosin Omojola, said.

A traditional and famous side, 3SC, was there when the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) was founded in 1972.

Several honours have come their way including five league titles and a continental crown.

However, since the turn of the millennium, the Oluyole Warriors’ have not been as dominant as they once were.

Club De Pals Abuja, the forum of Tiv Professionals residing in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Monday urged the Federal Government to heed to national call for the cancellation of the proposed Ruga settlement project.

A statement jointly signed by the forum’s president, Mike Towua, and Secretary-General, Paul Vingil, obtained by Igbere TV said the RUGA plan cannot be a panacea to the lingering killings of Benue farmers by the Fulani herdsmen as the open grazing which follows the RUGA settlements will still bring the farmers and herders on collision course.

“We urge the Federal Government to listen to the voices of reason from elder statesmen like Prof Wole Soyinka, Chief Edwin Clark, socio-cultural organisations like Mdzough U Tiv, Idoma National Forum, Ominy’ Iegede, Middle Belt Forum, South-South Peoples Assembly and many others and cancel the RUGA plan.

“We are in total support of Ranching as the best practice in animal husbandry the World over as opposed to any other plan including RUGA, cattle routes, grazing reserves and cattle colonies, as being contemplated by the Federal Government of President Muhammadu Buhari,” the forum said.

It further advised that no attempt should be made to enforce the principles of RUGA under the guise of National Livestock Transformation Plan or any other land-grabbing initiative for the Fulani herdsmen.

“The Tiv professionals condemn in its entirety, the attempt to seize ancestral lands of the people in Benue for the Fulani Herdsmen under any guise,” it said, adding that the Fulani are not indigenous to the state and do not deserve such special treatment.

The forum said that since cattle rearing is a private business, the Federal Government should make policies and laws to encourage individuals to operate this business in the same way it provides loans for crop farmers, small scale entrepreneurs and other business interests.

Nigerian Union in South Africa (NUSA) has alleged that a Nigerian teenager has been shot dead in South Africa, Igbere TV reports.

This comes after the Deputy Director-General of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), Obianuju Ndubuisi-Chukwu, was reportedly strangled in her hotel room in South Africa on June 13.

NUSA President, Adetola Olubajo, said on Monday that the victim, Chinonso Obiaju, 17, a high school student, was killed in Johannesburg on Saturday.

He said the deceased student lived in Roodepoort, Johannesburg with his guardian.

Mr Olubajo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on telephone that his guardian, Mike Nsofor, said he was shot at about 6:30 pm.

“He went to buy from a shop with his friend and someone chased and opened fire on them, killing him,’’ Olubajo quoted the guardian saying.

He added that the family would be burying him in South Africa and that the union’s leaders in Johannesburg would be contacting him on developments.

Olubajo said they were going to the police on Monday to finalise on the registry and provision of his papers.

“He was born here I learnt and the Mother is in the U.S. I have spoken to Mike Nsofor to pass the Nigerian community’s condolences and call for justice to be served in this case as anybody who hunts down a young schoolboy couldn’t have any justifiable reasons,’’ Olubajo said.

He implored the Federal Government to urgently protect Nigerians in the Diaspora.

Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, has said that the recent philanthropic gestures by billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, are motivated by an impending political ambition, Igbere TV reports.

The 36-year-old singer said this in response to a Facebook post by journalist, Olumide Iyanda, on Monday.

Mr Iyanda had opined that Otedola was fast becoming Nigeria’s “Philanthropist-in-chief.”

Responding, Seun Kuti had said: “Political ambition loading!!”

In a statement on Sunday, Femi Otedola had pledged to take care of the medical bills of veteran actor, Sadiq Daba.

Daba travelled to the United Kingdom in 2017 for the treatment of leukaemia and prostate cancer.

He returned to Nigeria a few weeks after with reports that his situation was not as bad as feared.

Two years after, the October 1 star was recently admitted at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital for what those close to him said was chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Otedola had in April accepted to foot the medical bills of former Super Eagles’ coach, Christian Chukwu, who was reportedly diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Chukwu returned to the country two Fridays ago after his treatment in the UK which reportedly cost Otedola N36,635,000.

A similar gesture was extended to Tinsel actor, Victor Olaotan, in 2018.

Olaotan became bedridden from an accident he had on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway in 2016.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested four men for sexual assault against minors.

According to Bala Elkana, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, the men were arrested at different areas of Lagos State for offenses bordering on rape and molestation.

One of the paraded men is a 68-year-old Yisah Showunmi, who allegedly raped his 15 years old daughter and her friends.

The 15-year-old reported the incident at Imota Police Station in Ikorodu, on June 27.

She alleged that her father has been having sexual intercourse with her for the past three years, stating that when her two friends (Names withheld) ages 15 and 16 came to stay in their house, her father also had sexual intercourse with them.

She said that the last incident happened on June 23, 2019.

In another similar incident, one Akin Olatilu was arrested for sexually abusing his step-daughter.

According to the police, Olatilu has been assaulting his step-daughter for five year when she was only 14 years old.

But on June 14 the lady approached the Police to make a report.

She alleged that she reported the matter to her mother but her mother did not take any action.

She further stated that the abuse did not stop until she turned 18 years old and that the suspect also had sexual intercourse with her in the month of March 2019.

Another case was reported at Igando Police station by a mother who claimed that her daughter was assaulted by her guardian, one Pastor Popo Paul, who lives at 10/11 Aminu Street, Ishuti road, Egan Igando, Lagos.

The mother, who lives at Akure in Ondo state, had brought her daughter to Lagos, in 2017, to live with Paul’s wife.

She stated that, she noticed her daughter was pregnant sometime in June, 2018 and that when she interrogated her, she mentioned the name of the suspect.

According to the pregnant girl, Paul started sleeping with her in January 2018. She gave birth to a baby girl in April 2019.

In a related development, One Aliyu Ali Mohammed was arrested for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a 14 years old girl inside an uncompleted building in Peace Estate Iba area of Lagos

According to Elkana the case was reported by one Harrison Chukwerueke, who caught the suspect.

All the suspects have been charged to court.

Leaks have indicated that Samsung is ready to make huge changes to its smartphone design philosophy with this year’s S10 range. A big reason for the same is the market’s heavy inclination towards providing full-screen fascia without resorting to the services of a notch. Renders of the upcoming Samsung phones have shown an innovative solution that has already been tried out on one of the company’s other handsets, the Galaxy A8s. However, this is not the only department where changes will be seen on the upcoming flagships. Based on all the leaks and rumours going around, we’ve created this comprehensive roundup of what you can expect from this year’s Galaxy S10 range.

Four models or five?

Samsung, it seems, is planning to go big with the number of variants of its upcoming flagship. If leaks are to be believed, the brand is planning to introduce four models in the S10 lineup. The first one among them will be the Galaxy S10 Plus, while the other two will be smaller Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 E (also rumoured to be the S10 Lite) models. As for the fourth one, it will be a 5G variant of the Plus variant, that might be called Galaxy S10 X 5G. And then there’s even talk about the foldable Galaxy smartphone being slated to be unveiled along with the S10 range, though that could also be launched as part of a new series altogether. Few details are known about the foldable smartphone at the moment.

Infinity-O display
One of the boldest decisions Samsung seems to have taken with the S10 range is going for the punch-hole display. Rumours about this decision had starting popping up last year itself, and since then, a few companies have already adopted this approach. In fact, Samsung’s very own Galaxy A8s was also released with a similar punch-hole panel. But the ultimate result of this innovation will be the Infinity-O display that will sit on the Galaxy S10 models. The top-right corner will be dedicated to the selfie camera, resulting in a hole in the display.

What’s worth noting is that the Galaxy S10 Plus is being tipped to feature dual front cameras for offering additional features. Whether they are meant for wide-angle selfies or better portrait selfies, or both is still unknown. But what matters is that the punch-hole will be a larger affair on the bigger phone.

In case you’re wondering about display sizes, the Galaxy S10 Plus is expected to ship with a 6.4-inch panel, while the regular S10 and the S10 E may come with 6.1-inch and 5.8-inch displays, respectively. As for the S10 X 5G, it’s expected to adopt a ginormous 6.71-inch panel. All these displays will of course be Super AMOLED in nature. The display dimensions of the foldable Galaxy handset are still unknown, and the same goes for the nature of its appearance.

It’s a given that these phones will ship with top-of-the-line chipsets. The Snapdragon 855 SoC will be reserved for the US and other select markets, whereas the 8nm Exynos 9820 chipset will be used for models sold in the rest of the world, including India. The performance difference between the smartphones powered by these SoCs remains to be seen.

There’s no concrete leak regarding the RAM and storage options that these handsets will offer. We did have a leak a few days back, but we’d advise you take that with a grain of salt. As per that, the S10 E will be endowed with 4GB of RAM, whereas the regular S10 will be granted 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The S10 Plus might get 6GB and 8GB of RAM, while the S10 X 5G will supposedly ship with as much as 10GB or 12GB of RAM. The storage choices are expected to start at 128GB this time around, and might go all the way up to 1TB.

Multiple cameras

Having experimented with multiple rear cameras with its A series models last year, Samsung will definitely incorporate this approach with the S10 range of 2019. Rumours have indicated that the Galaxy S10 E and the S10 will come with dual rear cameras with 12MP + 13MP sensors, and single 8-megapixel front cameras. As for the S10 Plus, it’s tipped to feature a triple-camera array on the back, with a 12MP + 13MP + 16MP setup. This camera module will offer support for regular, ultra-wide and telephoto shots. The S10 X 5G could very well go beyond that and offer as many as four rear cameras. It’s difficult to tell right now what the fourth sensor will be used for though. As for the dual front cameras on these two phones, they are rumoured to be 8MP and 5MP units.

With Google’s Night Sight (review) exhibiting stellar low-light photography results, Samsung definitely isn’t wanting to stay behind. It is reportedly developing a mode called Bright Night that will be deployed on the cameras of the S10 range. Just like Night Sight, this mode is expected to click bright photographs with a good level of details in dark conditions, without taking the aid of the flash.

In-display fingerprint readers
Samsung will be making the switch to in-display fingerprint scanners this year, which is a welcome move. This functionality will be present on all the devices, except the Galaxy S10 E, which will instead opt for a physical scanner that will sit on its power button.

One UI software

Samsung has already rolled out its new user interface for its current-gen devices, but the S10 handsets are supposed to have it preinstalled. This software will, of course, be based on Android 9.0 Pie, and will give a huge overhaul to the design elements of the interface. Features like Digital Wellbeing and more are also expected to be introduced by the new version of One UI.

Powerful batteries
Firstly, you can expect both fast charging and wireless charging to be present on all these phones. There is moreover, talk of the presence of reverse wireless charging functionality akin to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro (review). As for the battery capacity, the Galaxy S10 X 5G has supposedly been blessed with a massive 5,000mAh battery. The S10 Plus on the other hand, may get a 4000mAh cell, while the regular S10 and the S10 E might sip juice from 3,500mAh and 3,100mAh batteries, respectively.

The flagships Galaxy handsets are known for their dust- and waterproofing capabilities, and the S10 range will apparently be upholding that reputation by offering IP68-grade protection. While the Bixby button is going nowhere, thankfully, same can also be said about the good ol’ headphone socket. There were wild rumours about the 3.5mm port having been yanked from this year’s phones, but recent leaks have indeed mentioned its presence.

It’s more than confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones will be unveiled by the South Korean company at an event supposed to be held in San Francisco on February 20th. Their release in India is expected to take place during the month of March.
