I second your thought on this...

We copied Democratic system of government from the USA ... we didn't copy it well... This state police of a thing is what USA is using ...

You hear CHIGOGO POLICE DEPT.
NEW YORK POLICE DEPT and so on ... And FBI at the central ... Each state has its own Police department. But Nigeria, corrupt leaders are going against state police... Like you said, a man from that state will always know more of his state in the force.

And if they can't run state police, there is alternative, officers should only be posted to their state of origin and work in that state till retirement while been transferring from one local government to another in the same state of origin...

Many will even want to join the police force. Some one like me, I like to join the force right from childhood but how can I bee in Lagos and yet been transferred to the state I know no atom of?
What happens when the state police becomes a reflection of the federal policing system we have today whereby those in power use the police for their selfish interests? The best system of policing still remains federal for us.

Konquest:

The writer of this article and the Editor that allowed the article to be published are ignorant of the current trends in crime and kidnappings or they just wanted to add sensationalism to his report.

It's a known fact that these kidnappers are now using satellite phones instead of cell phones which can easily be tracked through the IRT. So, there's a need for upgrades to the tracking system to pin point the coordinates of the kidnappers.

There's also the need for smaller drones and combat drones for aerial surveillance and attacks on the base of these criminals in the NOTORIOUSLY well-known crime spots. This would deter crimes and help to apprehend criminals. Period.
You are guilty of what you wanted to accuse the journalists and editors of here. All criminals cant afford and be using satellite phones. We have been cases where the suppliers of sex workers to bandits or ammunition suppliers were busted and instead of storming the location of bandits with their help, they come to media to parade them. It still points to a compromised security agency system.

Always knew the NIN and BVN were so useless given the Nigerian factor.
I can bet my last card they also have softwares like Pegasus but prefer to go after mistresses and perceived enemies like the case of NIN and BVN.
It also corroborate what I have always said of Buhari and Tinubu's govt. They are malice driven and too political for such advanced tools.

A wealthy man too can get laughed at. People who do ogu-ego know how they get blackmailed. Mockery can even be faked just to incite the ine being mocked.

I hope the average lifespan of the lecturers versus student is compared also?
Without that in place, the OP is simply glorifying fast lane mentality.

See how a open debate saved USA from troubles Biden would have caused them. We allow people who run away from debates snatch power in Nigeria then watch them run the country on auto-pilot mode.

Politics / Re: Nigeria’s $1Trillion Economy Target Under Tinubu Impossible – Rewane by CodeTemplarr: 8:05am
Exactly. You dont attain growth by building fancy structures at inflated rates, paying idlers and even giving them a raise, watching productive sector of economy chased off by bandits, spend all money on defence but keep soldiers idle & away from insecure spots, or watch thugs levy few manufactures and their workers around. These are all minuses being accumulated for the sake of retaining public offices.

Na waooh! This country is making Bandits look like some kind of invincible supermen.
it is a conspiracy to keep defence budget astronomically high on one hand and make a case for northern amnesty.
A thread about a soldier accusing govt of sponsoring banditry and terrorism is trending right now on Nairaland. He also highlighted the issues of idle soldiers not being given order to invade the forests. If the defence budget is so high and yet soldiers are idling away, then the leaders are orchestrating both deliberately.

He made perfect sense. Defence budget rose astronomically under GEJ and Buhar. All Tinubu has to do is maintain the problem and the money being allocated for it.
Its is all about the tempo for Tinubu.

Use your brain mr man.
Your talked of a long running battle in a bid to pitch Dangote against others but forgot NNPCL has been corrupt even with their own refinery. They are opposed to anything that stops their own money coming g into personal pockets.
Until Dangote starts getting crude locally he owes no one petroleum products. He needs forex to import crude so must sell his refined products to where he can earn forex for the moment.

Airport is just one on the list of waste projects type.
Dormant roads, rails, libraries, flyovers and more.

In a situation where it is perfectly possible to clear periodic traffic obstruction by slightly expanding roads, reduce stop spots, or fix potholes to ensure free traffic, they embark on edifices like flyover and overhead bridges. Wasteful.

NYSC / Re: Internship Policy… NYSC Rejects HND Graduates At Orientation Camps by CodeTemplarr: 12:23pm On Aug 29
Polytechnics are not universities. They have forgotten what a polytechnic is built for and over time focused all energy on being equal to university. The course work has suffered as a result and this news is just a consequence of that deviation.
The course works have been so changed that they are openly pushing to be equal with universities equating university degree to HND certificate. Lawless jungle!

Politics / ND People Never Stormed The Creeks To Confrom Militants Like Sokoto People by CodeTemplarr: 7:51am On Aug 29
That highlights the difference between a just battle for inclusiveness by the militants compared to a highly flawed victimisation of the northern masses by their greedy elites and politicians.
N1 Trillion is already going to north under the anchor borrower programs annually as we speak so any further push for a share of the cake can only be from their politicians and elites. I don't think up to that goes to NDDC annually even if we decide to officially make it a south versus north affair.
