Mikky as far as I know is the only person doing the risky job of "pick-up". Even if you are familiar with pick up sites, you would have seen victims warning the general public of assailants by their (assailants) posting pictures and numbers. Most of these pick up unlike shopping sites are usually cheap and a steal. Most of Mikky's customers are not end users but business men/women who sell out to the ultimate end users. Whatever medical benefit which may be found in a fly’s body has to be extracted using special laboratory procedure and not by dipping the fly into water. If you dip a fly into food or water, such food or water becomes contaminated and you are likely to suffer typhoid, dysentery, cholera or meningitis.

The surface of flies is the last place you would expect to find antibiotics, yet that is exactly where a team of Australian researchers is concentrating their efforts.

Working on the theory that flies must have remarkable antimicrobial defences to survive rotting dung, meat and fruit, the team at the Department of Biological Sciences, Macquarie University, set out to identify those antibacterial properties manifesting at different stages of a fly's development.

"Our research is a small part of a global research effort for new antibiotics, but we are looking where we believe no-one has looked before," said Ms Joanne Clarke, who presented the group's findings at the Australian Society for Microbiology Conference in Melbourne this week. The project is part of her PhD thesis.

The scientists tested four different species of fly: a house fly, a sheep blowfly, a vinegar fruit fly and the control, a Queensland fruit fly which lays its eggs in fresh fruit. These larvae do not need as much antibacterial compound because they do not come into contact with as much bacteria.

Flies go through the life stages of larvae and pupae before becoming adults. In the pupae stage, the fly is encased in a protective casing and does not feed. "We predicted they would not produce many antibiotics," said Ms Clarke.
They did not. However the larvae all showed antibacterial properties (except that of the Queensland fruit fly control).

As did all the adult fly species, including the Queensland fruit fly (which at this point requires antibacterial protection because it has contact with other flies and is mobile).

Such properties were present on the fly surface in all four species, although antibacterial properties occur in the gut as well. "You find activity in both places," said Ms Clarke.

"The reason we concentrated on the surface is because it is a simpler extraction."

The antibiotic material is extracted by drowning the flies in ethanol, then running the mixture through a filter to obtain the crude extract.

When this was placed in a solution with various bacteria including E.coli, Golden Staph, Candida (a yeast) and a common hospital pathogen, antibiotic action was observed every time.

"We are now trying to identify the specific antibacterial compounds," said Ms Clarke. Ultimately these will be chemically synthesised.

Because the compounds are not from bacteria, any genes conferring resistance to them may not be as easily transferred into pathogens. It is hoped this new form of antibiotics will have a longer effective therapeutic life.

The story of Mohammad and Zainab is well documented in the Qur’an, (Sunna) Hadith, Tafsirs and Sira (reputed history books of Islam) and no Muslim can legally question their authenticity.

Zaid (Zayd) was a freed slave whom Muhammad publicly adopted as his son. According to recorded Islamic history, Muhammad took Zaid to the Black Stone of the Ka’ba and said:

“Bear testimony, all ye that are present. Zaid is my son; I will be his heir and he shall be mine.” (W. Muir, The Life of Muhammad, ed. T.H. Wair, p. 35).


Thereafter, he was called Zaid ibn Muhammad (Zaid the son of Muhammad). Zaid was one of the first persons who accepted Islam. Muhammad chose Zainab (Zaynab) as a wife for Zaid. She was a cousin of Muhammad. The marriage between Zainab and Zaid took place in Medina around the year 626 C.E. when Muhammad became a prominent leader, both religiously and politically, in Arabia. One day Muhammad paid an unexpected visit to the couple but Zaid was not at home. As the wind blew the curtain aside, Muhammad saw Zainab in a near naked (Arabic: hasirah) state and he was moved by the beauty of his daughter-in-law. She quickly dressed up, invited Muhammad into the house and said, “Come in, oh Prophet of God, for you are as my father and my mother to me.” [/b]This was in keeping with Arabic tribal tradition, where a daughter-in-law was regarded by the parents of her husband as their own daughter. However, Muhammad went away repeating, “Praise be Allah who changes hearts.”

So according to MOOHAMAD it was allah who planted lust in his heart towards Zainab!

Even if Zaid was an adopted child, it makes absolutely no difference. Allah managed to hand down quite a few "revelations" that sanctioned Muhammad's personal pursuit of sex to the doubters around him. If I were a muslim, I'd be worried by this koranic verse because Allah instructs MOOhaMAD Hadath to break up the marriage of his adopted son Zaid to Zainab so that MOOhamad can take Zainab for himself.

Sahih Muslim (8:3460) - "Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you could sport with her and she sport with you, or you could amuse with her and she could amuse with you?" Muhammad posed this question to one of his followers who had married an "older woman" instead of opting to handle a child.

Sahih Bukhari (4:232) - Muhammad's wives would wash semen stains out of his clothes, which were still wet from the spot-cleaning even when he went to the mosque for prayers. Between copulation and prayer, it's a wonder he found the time to slay pagans.

Sahih Bukhari (6:300) - Muhammad's wives had to be available for the prophet's handling even when they were having their menstrual period.

Sahih Bukhari (93:639) - The Prophet of Islam would recite the 'Holy Quran' with his head in Aisha's lap, when she was menstruating.

Sahih Bukhari (62:6) - "The Prophet used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives." Muhammad also said that it was impossible to treat all wives equally - and it isn't hard to guess why.

Sahih Bukhari (5:268) - "The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number." I asked Anas, 'Had the Prophet the strength for it?' Anas replied, 'We used to say that the Prophet was given the strength of thirty men.' "

Sahih Bukhari (60:311) - "I feel that your Lord hastens in fulfilling your wishes and desires." These words were spoken by Aisha within the context of her husband having been given 'Allah's permission' to fulfill his sexual desires with a large number of women in whatever order he chooses. (It has been suggested that Aisha may have been speaking somewhat wryly).

Sahih Muslim (8:3424) - One of several narrations in which a leering Muhammad orders a clearly startled woman to suckle a grown man with her breast so that he will become "unlawful" to her - meaning that they can live under the same roof together.

Tabari IX:137 - "Allah granted Rayhana of the Qurayza to Muhammad as booty." Muhammad considered the women that he captured and enslaved to be God's gift to him.

Tabari VIII:117 - "Dihyah had asked the Messenger for Safiyah when the Prophet chose her for himself... the Apostle traded for Safiyah by giving Dihyah her two cousins. The women of Khaybar were distributed among the Muslims." He sometimes pulled rank to reserve the most beautiful captured women for himself.

Tabari IX:139 - "You are a self-respecting girl, but the prophet is a womanizer." Words spoken by the disappointed parents of a girl who had 'offered' herself to Muhammad (he accepted).

The Apocrypha is not the Bible. Any book that is not included in the Bible was left out because it lacks Divine Inspiration. You have comprehension issue. No one is denying the miraculous birth of Jesus and several miracles he performed but "he can of himself do nothing". In the United States the age of sexual consent was lowered to 12 and 13 to prevent cases where children would be sent to jail for sexual offences. The kind of demented reasoning your fore-fathers were part and parcel of. In fact in the United States, "girls" of 12-13 years were allowed to marry as early as the 19th century not to talk of more than a thousand years back.
Their society is quite different from ours. It's a different thing to marry a girl of 10years now. It was the norm then.

The problem with you lot is that you somehow believe that Christians worship whatever thing it is that you guys worship.
