Hello guys i sincerely need your help, when i was applying for jamb i mistakenly submitted osun as my state of origin and when i was offered admission into school i submitted Ondo as my state of origin which is my real state of origin. Pls is there need for me to panic?

I am not sure there is need to panic..

check which states of origin comes out when names are pasted in ur skul(if ur skul pastes names, if not wait for which comes out on nysc portal) and fill your state of origin during registration..

everything should be fine. let's hear what logo has to say on this as dream2 don call him attention

it is possible that u get posted to ur geopolitical zone.. d only impossible thing is to get posted to ur state of origin or d state where you schooled..however, u can as well redeploy to any of those states if u know your way.

You will camp in Yobe but NOT necessarily serve there. The Nigerian govt. and NYSC provides room for redeployment to those posted in North eastern states.

You also talked about using medical reports. That is the worst card to play in this age. A friend of mine spent almost 7k to get a make-believe medical report in batchA16. He wanted to redeploy back to Kano. Nobody looked at his face in Jos camp. After much pleading, he was later posted to the city where he could easily get access to hospital to attend to his supposedly medical condition.

I also have a colleague of mine who graduated from my school. He chose Yobe because he wanted to redeploy. Immediately after camp, he redeployed back to Kano.

yes, u are right.. before I said he should use health as an excuse, I told him to b friendly with nysc officials cos I have friends who got their redeployment done based on health..(but apart from d medical report, they got help from nysc officials too, some paid, Some didn't). I have 4friends who did it.

about d north eastern states, I know u get automatic redeployment if posted to those States especially yobe and borno.. but before now, if u got posted to any of those states, u wouldn't camp there.. BT my fear is d fact that d Nigerian government believe bokoharam have been defeated, d governor of borno state said borno is very safe now( that was two days ago), nysc reopened d camps in NE. that is why I think it would be wise to make thorough findings before making d decision.

I want to serve in cross river state,so after all my research I choose to use this info below when registering

state of origin IMO state (south east)
graduated from Futo (south east)
resident address bunue (north central)

state of choice-
1st( Cross river state-south south),

2nd (lagos- south west,.. reason for choosing lagos-its one of the hottest and highest state of choice so if I am being posted there I can easily be deployed ),

3rd(borno -north east,..reason for choosing the state-due to the insecurity of the state people are not really posted there to serve and even if I am been posted there I think it will be easy to be deployed because of the BH problem)

plz if u have any information or correction or advice I will appreciate

bros, change your mind about borno state if u know your reason is to redeploy based on insecurity.

d Nigerian government believe that bokoharam have been defeated.. they have even opened yobe camp and whoever gets posted to that state will camp there..

lagos- yes, lag is hot, lag is cool, lag is full of opportunities but lag is very expensive.. ur 15k allawee can be useless if you have to transport ursef to ur PPA, get accommodation or both. however, if u have a target(a cool PPA or u have free accommodation waiting for u in lag, den gudluck).

my advice: If u want to redeploy, get ready to do it In camp, be friendly with the nysc officials, get a doctor's report(from a state, federal or military hospital) state health as ur reason and u might be lucky to get posted to d state u prefer or a state close to it.
