It may be a good decision though, but truth be told most of the so-called full-time students are in no way better of.The educational system has not created any meaningful impact on the Nigerian economy and nation in general.Multi-nationals,when they recruit Nigerian graduates most of the time give them additional training because they cannot match global standards, yet they are from our best universities;some of them first class graduates.

It is true that they are a myriad of irregularities going on in the satellite campuses, that is not to say that scrapping provides the solution. The nadir of the nation's economic woes is the unproductive nature of her teeming youth, chunk of 'graduates' leave school every year yet are 'not employable'.......are they from satellite campuses?

Multi-campus system of learning is a global practice, all the government needs to do is streamline,regulate,co-ordinate and provide a structure that would spur the student to be innovative and visionary. The government can always go ahead and scrap external campuses, mind you the creative mind cannot be strangulated!

Education / Lasu External System by cr8tf(m): 10:52am On Sep 21, 2012
LASU external system, formerly known as LASU school of part-time studies has had series of unending 'drama' tongue cry, that threatened its continual existence. The legality of the multi-campus system has been challenged by the NUC in the court of law, with LASU emerging victorious. As if that is not enough nightmare for its students, the pronouncement by the NUC on the scrapping of part-time study in Nigerian universities further added salt to our miserable wound.
Now that the NUC decision has been reversed, authorities of LASU seem to be our worst enemy. The external system has been on break for months without any information on resumption, academic calendar,NUC and a host of other issues while normal academic activities are not halted in the mainstream(full-time)LASU.This piece is to inform the general public/students/parents and other stakeholders of the proposed LASU EXTERNAL SYSTEM CONGRESS which will hold at LASU ANTHONY CAMPUS ON Monday 24th September by 9.00am prompt.
The entire students of the LASU external system through the Joint S.R.C aim to brief the public on recent developments in the system, with a view to curtail our constraints and eradicate the vices of the school.
