Let us be realistic. Political appointment is not employment. It's just for little time, no pension, no retirement benefits.

They are called to serve. In serving you don’t need pay people this high amount of money else you will attract the wrong ones to service.

Yet these people want us to take them seriously. It is time Nigerians stamp their feet on the floor and demand for a unicameral legislature. Let’s reduce those who steal our money all in the name of representation. The Senate or the House of Representatives has got to go.

Are these thieves not already earning beyond what the economy can sustain?? Why buy ONE CAR for 65 million naira and yet talk about what the economy can sustain? So it can sustain you people but not the rest Nigerian? Also why not tell the budget office or whoever is in charge of your salary to tell Nigerians the true figures instead of crying foul!

Praxis758:
All states are not equal in terms of their FAAC and IGR, however states like Delta, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Lagos shouldn’t have any excuse in paying any minimum wage approved by the FG.

Any governor from the aforementioned states that can’t pay the minimum wage should go for psychiatric test.

Every state in Nigeria have a mineral resources they can develop. Also, all state governor is driving a bullet proof Prado 2023 jeep or even 2024. Why didn’t they buy a Honda to show the state doesn’t have money?? But when it comes to workers salaries they remember there’s no money

Call it Pre election gimmick or whatever. This is a very good for people of Edo state. Especially the civil servants there. When the country was getting hard, he increased it to 40k now the country is very hard. He has gone 70k. This means he feels the pulse of the people! Also, he could have kept these money and use it to buy votes! So I think he has done well with this policy

When people say don’t bring your wife to the west. They know what they are saying. I am not in any means justifying what the man has done because that is EVIL! However, our Nigerian women need to calm down when they have almost the same pay as their husbands . It turns to what else can you offer me. Our women have been so brainwashed to think the only thing a man can offer them is Money, besides which they are nothing. Our women need to realize, it was the man who made it possible for you to be in the position to have the power to earn, hence the intelligent ones amongst them will continue to respect their husbands. Those of you who think you have arrived. Remember what you think you have now might not last forever, you might end up running back to that man whom you think wasn’t important in the first place because you thin you have “ARRIVED”

Why shutting school? I so much love US style. They are making it fun for school children, I have signed consent forms for my children to watch in school why my kindergartener will be watching it on the screen in the class.

I really don’t know for them o. But I guess are scared the children will look directly at the eclipse and damage their eyes. So they don’t want it to be around the school premises to avoid law suit Lol

This is lovely 😍🌹

What is lovely in killing humans? Is the 3 year old boy killed equally a terrorist? Is the pregnant woman killed a terrorist? These are human lives we are talking about here. This is like the military going to kill everyone in the northern part of Nigeria because of the activities of a few Biko haram members.

Sorry sir, Nigeria is not united and can't ever be united.angry

This contraption is forced and if a referendum is conducted majority will choose to go their different ways, because this country is not working for the majority.

South South, South East and the North central being slaughtered by the fulani terrorists will opt out of this country.

Even the core north want their own sharia country so will maybe opt out. So Nigeria far from being united.

This is what he is saying in essence. Let the states govern themselves and Abuja to just support. A lot of Nigeria’s problems would cease in this way. What ever the states generate they use. Whatever law a state see fit it implements.

Politics / Re: Full Text Of Atiku's Speech At His Press Conference by Creamz(m): 12:57pm On Oct 30, 2023
This is an interesting read. Also I whole heartedly adopt his submissions. These are real solutions to some of the problems we have in the country. Rotational presidency between 6 Zones and that INEC needs to prove the Validity of results submitted not the candidate, because INEC is the umpire to determine who is qualified based on results submitted before now. Also I agree for a 6 years single term. Because this will allow who ever is the President settle down in 1 year and work 5 years for the people. The other 2 years that would have made it 8 years, is used to play politics anyways. So within 6 years you can plan your Presidency and leave a legacy for the people

Politics / Re: ‘LG Chairmen Use Good Vehicles’, Senate Defends Purchase Of N160m Suvs by Creamz(m): 9:01pm On Oct 24, 2023
And yet they want the Nigerian masses to cut back on everything they get as a citizen. If they cannot cut back on the type and cost of cars they drive, why should the Nigerian masses not demand subsidies to remain and fuel sell at N189 naira? After all the masses don’t have enough money, they have to pay for school fee and use the same bad road he is complaining about to travel about. They are not the only ones that can come up with excuses on not cutting back. The Nigerian masses can also come up with excuses on demanding that subsidies remain. However, I pity the average Nigerian because they are not yet ready to make this so called leaders accountable. That is why they can come and say all these rubbish and get away with it.

Culture / Boiling Eggs Everyday Without Eating It. by Creamz(m): 2:18am On Oct 20, 2023
My flatmate for about a year now constantly boils eggs almost every day, and doesn’t end up eating it. I have joked about this being some sort of ritual and we both laugh about it. Now it is getting me worried because this guy doesn’t eat them. Throws it away and boils another new one the next day without eating it also. Is this normal or is it something that is some sort of ritual??

If the vehicle will remain with the Natiinal assembly after their tenure, why not use the ones left by the 9th assembly?? Why purchase a new one? Nigeria is just not ready. That “bigmanism” is going to kill that country

While I think it is a good step for the country to avoid a shutdown through the strike action, I however think the government is yet to take its citizens and work force seriously. How do the elected officials earn so much yet those in the service earn peanuts

It is bad for civil servants to come late to work. However, it is because most of them have businesses they have to attend to first before coming to work, and some of them live very far, as far as into Nassarawa state. They cannot afford the high rents of Abuja. The hold up on that road leading into Abuja from Nassarawa is usually crazy. Why not increase their salaries to a living wage and see if they will be late

Let’s try to see things beyond partisan politics. Is this judgment a win for Nigerians in that Region. If yes, then it’s a very good one. If no that the people voted contrary, then it is a very sad one. We should see things more in this light. Everything shouldn’t be about APC/PDP/LP

For me, the President shouldn’t have the sole authority to appoint the INEC Chairman and all the electoral officer and returning officers. It should be done by open votes of the Senators the House of Representatives and all the state Assembly. Votes! Not let the aye have it.
