Before coming close to you, I thought you were not the type I needed, I thought you were not as beautiful as what I call beauty but I when came a little closer to you I noticed you are even MORE, and then I also realized when God was opening my eyes to you He wanted to embarrass me with so great a blessing of YOU.

At first, I was happy it looked like everything was gonna be so easy when you started giving little chances of talking to you and the honor of going on a lunch date with me, I felt so lucky, I was overwhelmed by your welcoming spirit, contrary to what I’ve ever thought of you, I couldn’t help, I was helpless, and it was as if I have won, not just a lottery but some lotteries, it I have not been myself since everything started falling apart. Yes you said you are not interested in dating me, I heard you but I never believed, not that I don’t believe you but I don’t believe the statement itself because it is contradicting what God showed me, and even if you have said yes to someone else, I will still hold on to God’s word until I see get married to any man, and sincerely I would be so happy for you and the most luckiest guy that is, and then I would know that God has been lying to me, but I know God is not a man that He should lie, it is we (humans) that do not always accept God’s truth.
I was just a gentle man doing his things, having recently left one relationship, said I wasn’t going to give any woman a chance, maybe not anytime soon, and suddenly you appeared, everything happened like a miracle, I do not easily love woman this easy, what came upon me was bigger than I can handle, I thought I could do it, I thought I have learnt so much things about marriage and relationship while growing, but I forgot to learn how to “WOO A CHURCH GIRL”. Hadly did I understand that the approach is different, surely I knew you can’t be won over by buying gifts, sending cards, and so I hid so you won’t misunderstand my motive, the love came over me, it was so real to me, it was unexplainable, unspeakable, unexpressable, and unavoidable. I knew church thing won’t be that easy tho.

I always am this kind of “alone guy”, I don’t like forming gangs or special cliq in church, but I guess You were not also the “alone type of girl” you belong (or partially belong) to the largest in-house cliq/gang in the church, wherein rise another brother of mine, who wanted you very much as well, I wasn’t right about it at first, I almost didn’t do anything about what I was seeing, but I said its better to fail than to die in silence.
Every day, I remember those goodtimes when I would call you while you were asleep and you would still pick and talk to me nicely, most of those times you “sleeptalk” I enjoyed it. Lol. I laugh, like, wow, I am actually making things happening here, wow I couldn’t actually make anything happen.

Yewande, I can’t afford you (I not mean the financial aspect, money is not actually my problem) I just felt WHAT GOD IS DOING IN YOU lately, no man can afford, expensive cars can be bought, the biggest mansion can be purchased but the invention of God, which is you, no man can afford. I am not worthy of untying your wedding dress on that wedding night, only if I am privileged to, you have an un-aging heart, fresh, simple and loving. I only know how to make things, how to deal with marital issues, pleasing my wife, looking after interest etc but I did not know how to ignite this “startup fire” in you

Yewande, you are the definition of the scripture that says, he who finds a wife finds a good thing and, OBTAIN A FAVOR… you can only be a favor to any man, so I felt I was just being favored. I realized that when God is favoring you, you don’t have to try so much to make it happen, God will fix it… and any man that do not understand this will think he had you by good works and would treat you like what he had purchased.

You are ALL THESE GOOD AND LOVELY…
But also feel; if you could give that slide chances at the beginning, it means you were on the “MAYBE” side, like, let’s see what he’s got. So I feel;
* You were too early to conclude that you didn’t want me (considering the fact that you weren’t in a rush)
* You didn’t give enough room for me to convince you, - you said I was only saying I love you but wasn’t showing it, which also contradict your other statement “CALM DOWN”. How can I calm down and proof my love to you, how can I proof my love to you, when you feel you can’t tell me some personal things like where you go, some of your goals, to see if I would show up and be able to help out.
* You didn’t allow any further outings, I could not even talk to you well in church becos the other brother of mine and his friend are always around you, and you know this all whole thing is not a competition of who comes to talk to you first. And they’ve also got you as friend long before now, it’s a church thing, I couldn’t fight it, I couldn’t drag it. And it looked to them that, I just came from nowhere to drag a girl with who has been there for a long time.
* You gave up so fast on me, because I wasn’t getting or speaking your language yet. The thing is, some married couples are failing in this, or still trying and working to get this language and understanding things right. I wasn’t expecting an immediate yes from you, but if you had said yes, it would have been a great avenue to learn you greatly, that’s why it is called COURTSHIP.
I had so much of great plans ahead the courtship, but so painful you did not let happen
