Please is there anyone who travelled to from Lagos to Canada recently for the first time,do they still request for covid 19 vaccination card?

And please what's the minimum BTA one is expected to carry.

No covid 19 vaccination card requested, though i went with it,and i came to Canada through Washington USA,

Your BTA depend on your mission in canada and what you fill during your application process, remember you were asked how much are u going.to be spending during your stays in Canada

Best of luck

Thank God for you. I read here of how someone was ban because of fake statement of account. Thank God for you o

Apart from been ban, this is a very serious case, the agent really messed up everything even for her future applications, i would suggest she talk to an immigration lawyer for help, remember all the information the agent gave at the first instance is already on their database

Are you in Canada already? If you are Canada, all you need it to write application to Nigerian embassy in Ottawa to help u to authenticate your drivers licence, with 100 dollar bank draft, your passport page data, photocopies of your dirvers licence and the the original, now take all to Canada post and register it with a return envlope, you will now take the letter to drivetest to obtain G1 after they test drive you

Greetings and a happy new year to you all.

I need some advise.

I submitted for the visit visa on Aug 11th 2023 and did my biometrics on Aug 17th in Abuja. I missed a letter asking me for my passport which was sent to me on Nov 8th 2023- to be honest, I don't know how I missed seeing it in my email. I read the letter on Dec 12th 2023 but I was outside Nigeria. That day I sent a CIC form to the Lagos office requesting that I send my passport to a nearby Canadian consulate as I am not in Nigeria at the moment. Today I received a message with a 'refusal letter generic' stating that my application was refused because I did not submit my passport.

Thank you for your interest in coming to Canada. I have reviewed your temporary resident visa
(visitor visa) application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the
requirements for a visitor visa (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/
services/visit-canada/eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada
temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your
application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
(IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee
Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/
index.html). I am refusing your application.
• You have not complied with our request for information, per subsection 16(1) of the
IRPA. To date, you have failed to comply with our request for submission of the following
documents: Passport

Please what can I do?

Thank you in advance for your replies and advice.

Sending a webform to indicate a visa refusal which was not stated during application submission before of oversight can it be of help? I had an issue like that though I have sent a webform stating the visa refusal.

Difficult, not sure webform can help you, they will believe u deliberately distort the information initially while completing your application, believing the webform was an after thought however, put everything in God hand

You’re right, I don’t know the IRCC, but I know the visa officers are not out there to witch-hunt anyone.

I know they will refuse a visa if the applicant lies about past visa refusals, but this OP never did because this incident happened after he had submitted his application.

The dates will show that he didn’t lie about his past US visa refusal.

Is ok o

It can't be used against you since the US visa refusal happened after your application had been submitted.

You guyz dont know IRCC, i can bet you that US refusal will affect him,he should have planned himself very well before submitting the Canada visitor visa.except he send a webform and attach the US refusal note and exaim to them tht he got refused after he submitted for visitor visa

You are the one assuming that they contact banks to confirm if the money is still there? How can banks even be divulging information of their customers to 3rd party. We all might not know exactly how the verification is done but when you apply logic, it will be easy to eliminate some options. Especially when many ppl have successfully gotten PPRs after pulling out their funds immediately after submission

No Nigeria Bank will divulge your banking information to anyone, judgement is based on what u submitted, though the genuity of the accounts can be verified, Uk way bad self i normally remove fund same day i submit, and i have the visa 5 consecutive times on different occasions even Canada visitor visa

Good morning everyone and happy new year.please I need help,I want to apply for Canada visitor visa,my child just arrived Canada on December 2023 for studies, please do I need any letter or document from him for my visa process?
Also do I need an invitation letter?
Thanks

You can apply for visitor visa independently, your son is barely settling down and you want him to send you invitation letter ,how? You can package yourself and while completing your visitor visa application you can made mention of him that during your visit you will use the opportunity to see your son who is in so-so school and province ,put his study permits evidence, school admission letter, school payment receipts etc

IRCC would like and honour invitation from a student doing graduation , an official letter from the school for invites for graduating students are usually issue out ahead of time

We humbly ask gurus in the house to help decipher the best way to approach this visa application My wife and I have extensive travel experience, currently holding valid UK, US, and Schengen visas that have been actively used in the past year. However, our recent attempts to travel to Canada have been complex.
In 2018, we obtained Canadian visitor visas valid until 2022. Due to work commitments, we were unable to visit from 2018 to 2020. At the time of visa issuance, we had limited connections in Canada. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we discovered we were expecting a baby and decided to give birth in Canada, where both my wife's sister and my sister's family had relocated. This choice was made due to the stronger family support system in Canada instead of the US.
While my wife faced no issues entering Canada, I was flagged and stopped during my connecting flight in Berlin to Toronto. I was questioned over the phone
- [ ] What will you be doing in Canada ? Visit my sister and family
- [ ] How long will you stay? 3 weeks
- [ ] Are you employed ? Yes , with will be working for home while in Canada
- [ ] Do you own your home in Nigeria ? Yes
- [ ] Is your spouse in Canada ? Yes visiting her sister too
- [ ] Is your spouse accessing health care in Canada ? Yes
- [ ] Are you expecting a baby ? Yes
Then he said please give the phone back to the attendant then she told me to contact immigration services as they haven’t cleared me to join the flight because I had a US visa so I changed my flight to connect the US and the plan was to go to enter through the land border in New York at least that will be a face to face conversation with the visa officers. On landing US my baby had already arrived and i called IRCC but the kept telling me they have not issues on case while left me confused . I just lost will power and came back home

This are the big questions?
- [ ] Was I stopped because they believed we will not come back ?
- [ ] Was it covid restriction becos this happened at the semi peak of covid ?
- [ ] Was it because we didn’t declare our intentions clearly on arrival ?

Fast forward to today by baby and wife are in 9ja and ALL bills paid with receipts, she didn’t overstay , we have more family in Canada ,I have 2 siblings and family (9 people ) my wife has 2 sibling (2 people ) in Canada. ,
we are preparing a comprehensive application pack, including:
- [ ] LOE with plenty of information
- [ ] Visa stamps 2022-23 UAE, UK,france ,US, ZAMBIA, SA, GHANA, RWANDA,Mexico , Spain etc
- [ ] Me salary account balance 2m (no lump sum)
- [ ] Wife salary account 1.4m (no lump sum)
- [ ] Saving account and investing accounts ( 20m) (no lump sum)
- [ ] Wife Saving account and investing accounts ( 15m) (no lump sum)
- [ ] Employment letter (promotion , salary increase and offer of employment )
- [ ] Landed property documents
- [ ] Travel insurance covering our annual vacation
- [ ] leave letter ( for both of us)
- [ ] payslip 6 months ( for both of us)
- [ ] company ID card ( for both of us)
- [ ] marriage certificate

Once again will appreciate advise and sorry for the long post

Go ahead and re apply no issues at all,put all cleared receipts as you claimed, then pls remember to add you were.refuse entry via Berlin, and tell them you do t know the reasons why, this key,pls dont hide this info,am sure your visa will be renewed
