Hi justwise, pls is this Spouse visa a residence permit like a permanent resident. The reason I am asking is because I was filling a form and was asked if I have a residence in another country. I said No and later was confused on the answer. Pls see the attached and kindly assist with the question. Thank you

it is a residence permit but not a permanent one if that makes sense. Resident permits are usually given for stays longer than 6 months e.g Students also have residence permits .You will only qualify for permanent residency after a number of years and meeting the conditions set for you.Hope that helps.

No not at all , I think once you have the TB certificate you should be fine.

Did you have to register with the police 7 days after your arrival?

Hello House,
Anyone here who did their biometrics on the 27th of September?
I didn't mine on the 27th of September at TLS ikeja and I'm yet to get a response .
I tried to track it and it has been stuck at “DMC” for weeks now. I made a paid call and the lady said she has escalated and gave me a reference number to hold on to, when next I call, if the issue isn't resolved.
Has anyone had similar issue?
Is there anyone who did biometrics at Tls Ikeja on 27th of September yet to receive a collection mail?

Just take your mind off it completely and focus on other things. It takes about 12weeks but its possible you get it before then.

Congratulations to everyone that have received theirs monchat, Dan45 and many more to come .it will surely come, be positive and pray about it, our God will do it . I did my biometrics in Abuja
Sorry for not replying immediately,

Vatican boy. I flew British Airways on Thursday, and I have a British Airways voucher worth $669
my brother bought BA one way ticket to surprise me , and I bought another not knowing that he already bought for me. Now the don't do refund so I can easily transfer the ticket to another person for a discounted amount or use it some other time .

Please those that are yet to travel you can ask me questions on covid, what you need to buy and customs, immigration etc .

Please do yourself the favour, buy thick Jacks and cardigan, wool hat, thick scarf, plenty underwear, (boxers & singles), thick Joggers for staying indoors thick stockings too. This is my first winter here , so the thing they shock me sef. Don't bother to bring all your Nija cloths , just pick what you will wear during summer. Your fine cloths can't stand this present weather.

1. You will need to show that white paper that came in through mail( or came with your passport as the case may be ) at the immigration. So keep it close.

2. Book and pay for your day 2 covid test if you are fully vaccinated. Print out the payment details and keep it with your passport.

3. Your vacation certificate , print and hold it and carry that vaccination card they gave you at the hospital you got vaccinated.

4. Fill your passenger location form and print and hold it with your passport. ( search for it on the UK.gov site . )

5 when you arrive go through declarations in customs . If you have food stuff, go to the the part that says (if you have Goods to declare this way ) this will save you time . Because people like you with food stuff will say they don't hav things to declare and so search is been carried out most times, but on this other route only you or few persons are there and they most likely won't check , they will just ask verbally . I hope this help someone.

Forgive all typos .

Thank you so much for the feedback..Did they ask to see your TB certificate?

Honestly, so happy about the letter that was sent. It gave me joy and courage to go pick my passport. at least no suspense.

As in..can only imagine if its a refusal that would have been difficult to receive by email before you've seen your passport.Wasnt expecting an email with approval letter..Was really suprised.

TLS has just sent me a message that my passport is ready for collection. All the red colors in my tracker have changed to green except the passport collection is still showing red. The mobile app buttons is now green.

I received the mail as well..I'll go tomorrow...There is no suspense again since I know the outcome already.

Congratulations. It came from Abuja? Did you do your bio in Lagos or Abuja please?

Ikeja,Lagos..They probably moved some applications to Abuja to process.Thats why they sent a mail instead of a letter since they arent with the passport like i mentioned yesterday.

Oooh this makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.

You're welcome...There is no point spending money calling or mailing them. They clearly state that it takes about 12weeks and mine isnt up to 12wks yet..Friday would make it 12weeks.If it isnt ready by then they would send an email to say the process is taking longer than 12 weeks.

I don't think it's with BHC. I think it's with UKvI in either their Sheffield office or another office in the UK.

Have you tried emailing or calling?

The Passport stays with British High Commission in your country of application i.e Lagos or Abuja..If the visa is approved .The sheffield office gives instruction for the visa to be printed and attached to the passport.Lagos has a higher number of application than Abuja so thats why I said British high commission in Lagos is probably really busy considering they also have to process some other categories of Visa which doesnt go to Sheffield.
