@ Adzobia, as a matter of fact, the basic requirement for the DV-lottery is your WAsSCE while everyother thing is secondary. The best you can do to help yourself is to prepare to answer questions based on your WASSCE & University courses. Getting a letter from NYSC might just to be better prepared but statements, transcripts, I.d cards & even pics of you in service can take care of that but the bottom is that you're still good with your O levels. @ Temmytanny, how far, you don enter? Hello Nairalanders, please i need your opinions on this. A friend was denied the DV visa based on false mariage which he said he will guilty of and he was banned from applying for visa at the US embassy for number number of years but said the years are now complete. Do you anyone have ideas on what to do and how to go about it?

Well, before most of you start to ask me about life here, i will rather jump the gun by saying life in the USA is so much fun, reliable and far much better than what we have in Nigeria, May God help us with our very corrupt leaders. There are few things i want my dear Nairalanders to conseder well before coming here which are :

(a) Your gaols here, that is for me you must be forcused, have an ambition of what you wanna achieve here.
(b) Getting a job is solely by the help of God because life is not a bed of roses here too like we were made to believe but things are still better of than what we have in our home country.
(c) Paying bills. That is really an essential part because one pays for everything you have and enjoy here. And more...

As par your vacciness and medical expiry, i was not asked anything on that at my port of entry at the Atlanta Airport cos your previous medical results, and certificates are what you have sealed in your brown envelope. So, if you ask me, i will say your brown envelope covers you as long as it is still intact.

@ OAYOMBO, Congrats yous sister & to you in advance. As par her wedding, TEMMYTANNY has tightly said that the chances are really very slim yet believe in God cos even as a single applicant she really have to be sound going by my own experience.
Your interview date at the US Embassy in Lagos depends solely on your CASE NUMBER so you really have to keep track on the VISA BULLETIN and keep your CONFIRMATION CODE cos you will use it FROM NOW TILL THE END.

As par her husband, when i got here i noticed it doesn't really take too long again if you will on time it mite just take abt TWO YEARS am hoping to that for my fiance too but it all depends on the VISA BULLETIN. For instance, the people i stay with here are greencard holders and one went to Nigeria to wed in MARCH THIS YEAR now he has started filling even with his GREENCARD for the wife and he has been replied that the wife is likely to be called for interview late this year but if you come single and stay for abt 5yrs, you will be able to apply for your AMERICAN PEE then wen you wed ur spouse, it will only take few months too.

One very funny thing here is that there laws change very frequently.

@ Anita, really i cannot explaining them now but be rest assured that u will find something to do here and the keast you will receive anywhere in the US is $7 per hour mind you you really need your SSCE/NECO to be quqlified for a du visa............ Goodluck to you and others waiting for Dv 2013.

Onthe issue of RESULT, i learnt its usually released ONCE because of manipulations and that was what led to the cancellation for dv 2012;s 1st result and dat was wat favoured me thou.On the issue of NABTEB, its on d dv lottery web for Nijjar but one thing we didnt take into consideration is dat ds visa is ONLY & ALWAYS at the discretion of the Consular. It may surprise you that the consular mite just denie our members in question becos he/she is not used to NABTEB. Its real cos it happened to me on my interview date that d consular that interviewd mw did not EVEN RECKON WITH MY COMBONED RESULT THAT I EVEN ATTACHED SCRATCH CARDS TO but only checked d oda one that the cert was ready while oda consulars approved them and grandted visas with that d lady consular denied pple with it like i remember some of our members even told me not to go with it.... So, it all depends on God's divine fovors( American speeling). As for the police report, we all know our Nigerian police with money. I did mine 10k, u can imagine some for dv 2012 just like me did it 4,500 wile som1 else paied 5k, so na Nijjar be dat........ GOODLUCK TO ALL MY 2013 BROS AND SIS....
