Health / Re: All Medical Practitioner Pls Epp A Bro Out. by delana(m): 4:12pm On May 04, 2021
There's a medical condition called Narcolepsy which predisposes people affected to frequent sleeping even in the most awkward circumstances. It tends to affect more females though.
You might need to see a specialist preferably a sleep Neurologist. There's one in Luth , Lagos.
It's treatable.

Where did you get this your baloobaloo 2% statistic from
Only God knows where the stats came from o. Interns are qualified doctors already and they are paid as such. They have a university certificate and a provisional license to practice medicine under supervision for one year.

Personally I prefer direct flights as I don't really like flying, lol, so the shorter the flight time the better.

If you are using BA it might be cheaper for you to fly out from Abuja.

But in the end look at your budget and see what works also consider layover time if you pick a connecting flight. Your COVID-19 test should be valid for the last leg of your flight.
Thanks for the info. I appreciate.

Thanks a lot my chief. I appreciate , but which airlines would be advisable to fly with now looking at the restrictions. Direct flights via BA or Virgin Atlantic are pretty expensive

Not at all. You will be asked about your return ticket though as it would be evident you flew one way so have it handy to present if asked.
Thanks a lot my chief. I appreciate

The bone of contention is not about them striking or demanding for their pay and welfare, it is rather that SKELETAL SERVICES should still be available at TERTIARY HOSPITALS in the A/E DEPARTMENT.

Health sector is an ESSENTIAL SECTOR, it just cannot shut down completely, just like every other ESSENTIAL SECTOR.

STATE OWED hospitals shouldn't be on strike either, they are not been owed, their show of SOLIDARITY by shutting down too is IRRESPONSIBLE, rather they can lend a voice to government on NARD'S BEHALF.

I agree with you that state owned facilities need not show any solidarity except they are being owed as well.
As for house officers, no amount of begging should do this time, you can't expect someone who is not being paid to continue work , is it until he/she collapse at work. How can you be happy going to work daily and at the end of the month, nothing to show for it, it has never gotten this bad with house officers.
For the other essential workers, I strongly believe everyone is important and you have to fight to get what you want as long as you are in this country. They can't continue to impoverish citizens in the name of essential workers, if the military/police go on strike today in quest for better remuneration, I will gladly support them, if these people are poorly paid as it is, we are just deceiving ourselves cos they will into crime, if you think deeply you will understand that their poor pay is the reason why most are om the road demanding 50 naira from motorists, I am sure that's not the society you want, so why don't they agitate for better living conditions??

So in other words you are justifying their irresponsible approach? Asking that all hospitals be abandoned like the tertiary has been abandoned, when people like HO's should still be on ground? You are justifying STATE owned hospitals for also joining NARD in the strike, meanwhile they are not been owed?

At what cost? Is the cost of human life worth it?

Sorry it is not justifiable, it is IRRESPONSIBLE. [/quote
]
Firstly I want you to know that a strike is the only measure the Nigerian government will respond to. They were issued letters 60 days prior to the onset of this strike which they never responded to.
You see, being a doctor isn't really to become millionaires or swim in money like Dangote but you should be able to live a fairly comfortable life which is almost becoming impossible in this country.
You did mention other essential workers , that's a good point but our docility as Nigerians is one of the contributing factors to this multi sector decay , the game is endure without complain which the govt has taken advantage of.
As for the house officers of which I was one, it's really a sad development looking at how they are used during the program. Whether in training or not, they deserve their pay and no one should work on an empty belly, they have every reason to down tools as well.
The shit Nigeria does to healthcare workers generally, if that were to be the case in other countries, I am sure Buhari won't be in UK now. Treat you r workers well and there will be no strike. Everyone shouts hippocratic oath, will that pay my bills, will that fees my family, life is give and take, I give my best and I deserve my wages .

I paid for someone yesterday Dec 10 using a pounds card and it was successful. I dnt know if u can make d payment at the tls office as it is a ukvi service which is diff from tls service but I do know that some of them in tht office have bank accounts for ‘helping’ people with such transactions... the problem is the rate they use..
also we have touts at d gate, those guys always shouting do u want to photocopy, do u wnat to this... they also do this at their own ‘blessed’ rates.

If u decide to go for this option, pls shine ur eye well and bargain.
Also ask on d student thread, alot of them pay for priority, so u might get more info on how they did that just to be absolutely sure of this information.
Thanks for the input sir, I also tried using a pound card yesterday but it wasn't going through. I will go there today to enquire.

Yes, you can include yours. Your sponsor will have to write sponsorship letter stating that he/she is ready to sponsor your trip and also state that the funds in his/her will be available to you. In addition, your sponsor should state the relationship between you guys.
Thank you very much. I appreciate.

Pls is it compulsory to include the 14 day quarantine while applying for a tourist Visa. I actually intend to spend just 5 days. Should I mention 5 days in my application or 19 days(inclusive of the quarantine)
