Crime / Midnight Arrest Of Leftist Omobude Agho By The Dss.* by Deltastatepolit: 5:07pm On Jun 15
PRESS RELEASE

*MIDNIGHT ARREST OF LEFTIST OMOBUDE AGHO BY THE DSS.*

It has become imperative we inform the general public of the incident leading to the arrest of Leftist Omobude Agho in the early hours of 14th June, 2024 at about 2am.

It all started as a community leadership adjustment wherein the Odionwere (community head) sacked the Okaighele (youth leader), one Mr. Dominic Edobor of Ugbineh community which is located in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo state and replaced with another youth member. The Okaighele has been accused of financial impropriety, illegal and indiscriminate sales of community lands, high handedness and the use of law enforcement agents to harass and oppress members of the community.

It must be noted that, Leftist Omobude Agho's maternal father hails from Ugbineh community where he built his house and lived till his death. Being a human rights activist who abhors oppression and an indigene of the community, he took steps in ensuring the community live in peace where one man cannot become the overload of all. He couldn't allow oppression, intimidation of others or misappropriation of the commonwealth of the community by a single person using the instrumentality of coercion to fester.

Mr. Dominic Edobor having being stopped from further usage of coercion in his operations in the community, resorted to the use of the palace of the Oba of Benin and the police to arm twist the Odionwere to submission and both attempts failed. He ran to court and the matter is still pending in a high court sitting at Okada.

After trying hard to use these institutions to achieve his aim and it seems they couldn't be used, he decided to use the Department of State Security (DSS) to arrest Leftist Omobude Agho and others by doing a petition alleging threat to life and promotion of native war which is still under investigation by the DSS.

On the arrest of Leftist Omobude Agho, the DSS personnel numbering about 15 stormed his private resident at about 2am with three Hilux Vans and one private car. While he was asleep with his family, men of the department broke into his compound and room pointing guns at him in bed while commanding him to follow them. At first, he thought, they were armed robbers or kidnappers. It was when he put on the light that he realized they were kitted in DSS vests. The operation was carried out in a gestapo style depicting a movie scene wherein a hardened criminal or a most wanted terrorist that has a lot of ammunition and lieutenants in a hideout. He was immediately whisked away to their office.

The leadership and members of Edo Civil Society Organisations (EDOCSO) in our numbers marched to the office of the DSS to demand for his release after faulting the operational style adopted by the DSS when an invitation to respond to a petition would have been sufficient without necessarily making it look like a sponsored operation. Edo state and the country have more than enough insecurity issues to deal with that requires such deployment of personnel and resources in the operation for the arrest of one armless Leftist Omobude Agho.

Leftist Omobude Agho's statement was obtained and he was interrogated based on the petition where his name was mentioned. The interrogating officers adhered to the provisions of the Administrative of Criminal Justice Act/Law (ACJA/L) and were very professional in conduct. A medical doctor was on the ground for checks and drugs administration while meals were provided for suspects in custody.

After the interrogation, he was released on bail at about 5pm and was received by the cheering members of the civil society led by the Interim TEC Chairman, Leftist Austine Enabulele who have been at the DSS gate as early as 7am chanting solidarity songs.

Politics / Clarification On Issues Surrounding Bye-election And Unconstitutional Suspension by Deltastatepolit: 4:35pm On Mar 27
*CLARIFICATION ON ISSUES SURROUNDING BYE-ELECTION AND UNCONSTITUTIONAL SUSPENSION OF THE COUNCIL'S DEPUTY SECRETARY*

Fraternal greetings to distinguished Youth Leaders, Head of VYOs, LGA coordinators and all other relevant youth stakeholders,

I seize this opportunity to address and clarify concerns arising from the recent publication circulated by the PRO II, Comr. Blessing Igbon, across various WhatsApp platforms.

First and foremost, the unilateral action taken by the State Chairman, utilizing the PRO II to disseminate such contentious information without prior consultation with my office, speaks volumes about his leadership approach.

Secondly, it is essential to underscore that the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo State Chapter, has long been recognized nationally as a bastion of intellectualism and exemplary youthful activism. It is unprecedented and contrary to our established norms for an aggrieved individual to unilaterally issue a letter of suspension. Such actions cast unwarranted aspersions on the integrity of our esteemed organization. The proper administrative procedure would have been to refer the matter to the disciplinary committee for adjudication.

Thirdly, I wish to bring to the forefront the protracted and unresolved issues surrounding the Bye-Elections. Let us recall the events of August 25th, 2023, when the State Chairman's actions during the Bye-Elections, including the unwarranted introduction of thugs, led to unfortunate altercations and necessitated intervention from distinguished Leaders to restore peace. Subsequently, the conduct of the elective executive election for the office of the Legal Adviser and the filling of the vacancy resulting from the resignation of the secretary have been repeatedly postponed. The recent postponement of the Bye-Election, scheduled for March 15th, 2024, underscores the challenges we face. Despite efforts to convene the election on the following day, it was regrettably canceled due to the Adhoc Eleco Chairman's personal engagements. Furthermore, the subsequent meeting convened by the Chairman under the guise of reconciliation deviated from its intended purpose, leading to the unjustifiable suspension of the Acting Secretary.

In times of discord, it is paramount for stakeholders and leaders of the Council to remain informed about developments within our organization. As the appointed image bearer of the Council, I implore everyone to exercise patience and restraint, as aggrieved parties seek recourse through appropriate channels.

Yours in dutiful service,
*Comr. John Uwanogho*

Politics / I Will Succeed Obaseki In 2020 Nddc Commisioner Saturday Uwuilekhue by Deltastatepolit: 5:56am On Dec 13, 2018
I WILL SUCCEED OBASEKI IN 2020
-Uwuilekhue

The Commissioner representing Edo State on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC ), Mr Saturday Uwuilekhue has revealed that he has been annoited to succeed Mr Godwin Obaseki as Governor of Edo State in 2020.
Addressing his close loyalists in his Benin City residence at the weekend, the Commissioner said the National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has assured him of the party's governorship ticket in 2020.

He therefore appealed to his supporters not to allow Governor Obaseki to succeed in his attempt to rubbish Comrade Oshiomhole whose godfatherism brought both of them to their present exalted positions.

He said Governor Obaseki was too much in a hurry to overcome Comrade Oshiomhole whom he described as invincible and indomitable.

He said wise as Governor Obaseki seems in administration, he remains most politically foolish as he has yielded to all ill-advice to exclude and alienate from his government and party leadership, key leaders of the party without whom electoral victory will be impossible in the state .
"How could a wise governor continue to hate and hunt those who opposed him during the primary , even two years into his administration?
"All you need to instigate him against anybody is simply to inform him that the person didn't support him during the primary," the NDDC Commissioner revealed.

He said Comrade Oshiomhole's inner caucus had continued to encourage the Governor in his hostility as a plot to help him render himself unacceptable to the party delegates for a second term.

"But even that is about to backfire on us as we are now afraid whether we can perform even half as much as we did in 2015 Presidential election here in Edo State in 2019.
"Mark it, APC cannot win up to 35% votes in Edo State in the next presidential election. We are not sure of winning any federal seat in Edo South and Central Senatorial Districts . "Only miracle will help us to win up to twelve seats in the state house of assembly.
"The two seats in Orhionmwon and the federal constituency are lost.
"Let's not deceive ourselves.
"Is it the grassroots party leaders who didn't know how the candidates emerged that will secure the votes for incumbents who have been busy fighting their leaders?
"Roland Asoro is the
biggest fool of all.

"How would he allow Orhionmwon South to be robbed of all its entitlements including the modular refinery, EDSOPADEC Commissioner, State Publicity Secretary? "Every damn thing!
''Unfortunately, Oshiomhole who is the national chairman is the first leader who will be embarrassed in the end . That's now our concern ", Mr Uwuilekhue lamented. "I just pray that President Buhari doesn't descend on him after the election? Mmmmh! "That man ? Fear him o!
"So I need your physical and spiritual support to realize this governorship aspirations.
"So don't be offended that i am not spending much on this election. This one is lost here.

"But Buhari will win.
"I have to save for my own election.
"Or you people don't want your own Satie as Governor? " he asked humorously.

NIGER DELTANS ARE NOT SLAVES;

SLAVE LABOUR IN CHEVRON NIGERIA LIMITED (CNL) RIGHT UNDER OUR NOISE
It got to our attention earlier today that a group of Niger Delta youths numbering over a hundred are under slave working conditions in different CNL field locations. From a video available to us from the meeting held by a committee set up by House of Representative, the slavery is perpetuated via a task master by name Mr. Monday Ovuede, Chevron Nigeria Limited Joint Venture Director. Surprisingly, he is from the region. A son from the region was chosen by a globally organisation to carry out slavery in the same region. Answer will come at the appropriate time.
These youths applied and wrote CNL operation and maintenance technician job exams in 2008 but were later abandoned until 2012 when CNL reached to them to leave their various endeavours and join their training program which will lead to employment. The training was conducted and completed between March 2013 and March 2014. They have since been deployed to chevron field locations to work under harsh and hazardous environments. This is four years they have been working with CNL but pegged under Training Contract because it is cheaper for the organization. They have no career path, no medical insurance, no vacation allowance etc. some of them who suffered medical conditions in the past were abandoned to their fate. Donald Trump won’t tolerate this in the United States. Nigeria labour law stated “Not later than three months after the beginning of a worker’s period of employment with an employer, the employer shall give the worker a written statement of the employment terms”
We will not tolerate this injustice in our fathers land. We shall arise and fight this war.

We can never be slaves in our father's land.......its a shame that our own brothers is use to enslave his fellow brothers. As we await the House of Rep committee that was set up to look into the matter, we use this Medium to tell the Management of the Company to wake up before things get out of hand....
