Next time, ensure you backup your WhatsApp frequently and also your contacts. Sometimes Google might back them up for you themselves, Use Google contact as your default contact app, and save all your contact directly to your Gmail account. Also frequently send some of your important files to your system or you can send to your cloud storage (OneDrive, mega, Google drive, Dropbox etc). |

Phones / Huawei becomes world Largest Smartphone Maker. by Denovan: 12:06pm On Jun 15, 2020 |
Huawei is blacklisted by the US as a result Huawei won’t be able to sell nor partner up with US companies. And since Google is a US-based company, Huawei can’t use Google services. Due to that, Huawei is shipping its latest smartphones without Google services, meaning no Play Store, Play Services, etc. But even the US ban can’t take Huawei hopes down. Earlier, the CEO of Huawei said “‘We Can Survive Without the U.S”. And now, Huawei becomes World’s Largest Smartphone Maker, which proves his statement. According to Counterpoint Research, Huawei is now the world’s largest smartphone maker and has put Samsung in the shade. Counterpoint Research in talks with Gizmochina says that Huawei captured 19% market share whereas Samsung was able to grab only 17% in the same period. This report is for April 2020, but one question which comes to mind is: How come Huawei is doing so well even after the US ban? No GMS required in China Patriotism Obviously, the product Pandemic Well, the answer is simple. Huawei is a Chinese based company, where Google services are already banned. As a result, Chinese consumers have no issues using devices without Google. Secondly, since the US has banned the Chinese tech giant its obvious that Chinese consumers will show their patriotism buying more Huawei devices. Last but the main point is the products. Huawei has not just become the largest smartphone maker by patriotism, but also their excellent products. Huawei is still capturing the market, the P and Mate series are capturing the flagship market by providing one of the best mobile photography. On the other hand, the Honor X10 series is there to provide 5G and excellent performance for a cheaper price. Okay so now we know how Huawei is keeping it up, but the next question which arrives is: How come Samsung is left behind? Due to the COVID-19 lockdown in the majority of the countries, the economy slashed down globally. As a result, it affected the demand for new smartphones especially in hot markets like India, in the USA, and Europe. And since these are the most important markets for Samsung, their sales were impacted. Whereas, China’s economy improved during March 2020 and has given more business to smartphone makers, like Huawei. As a result, Huawei became the world’s largest smartphone maker in April 2020. But once the big markets recover from the lockdown it can again affect Huawei. But still, Huawei has done a great job by providing high-end technologies even with its bad luck. #Copied Source: https://www.gizchina.com/2020/06/15/huawei-beats-samsung-to-become-worlds-largest-smartphone-maker/ |

Phones / Re: Android Phones Will Soon No Longer Support Installation Of APK Files, See Why by Denovan: 8:33am On Jun 15, 2020 |
seunfly:I get your point, but Huawei have already launched harmony os with thier smart tvs last year. Harmony os is not just an ordinary smartphone os. see link here https://phonemantra. com/huawei-has-released-cheap-smart-tvs-on-its-own-os-harmony-os-without-android/ remove space between . and com it's an os is that will be used in all thier electronic devices ranging from smart watch, tv, pc, washing machine, phones, fridge etc(iot). Their plan is to make sure they have enough apps on their app gallery which will be easy for them in a long run. Huawei would have launched it since in thier smartphone, but they believe in thier friendship with Google. |
Phones / Re: Android Phones Will Soon No Longer Support Installation Of APK Files, See Why by Denovan: 8:13am On Jun 15, 2020 |
seunfly:it won't affect Huawei because there's no play store. Most times if you have all this moded apps in your phone, like lucky patcher. Play store will detect it or automatically disable it. I think Huawei will be exempted, if not Huawei will be force to release harmony os, which will bring competition. Chinese people are United, so they hate to see thier companies crumble unlike Nigeria, that's why Chinese government got angry and threatened to sanction Qualcomm, apple and Cisco just because of Huawei. So they can do anything for thier country. if China can build thier spaceships from scratch, after America banned them, from joining thier international space center, and now there are the only country that has landed at the far side of the moon. Then they can do anything my opinion tho |

witnezHD:You are right, harmony os is for iot. If Google tries this, they are shooting themselves in the foot. Recall that Chinese OEM makes up more than 60-70% of the smartphone market share, if the Chinese government force them to use harmony os which is in fact better and more secured than andriod because it's based on micro kenel. The funny thing is that you can install apk on harmony os. Then Google might end up like Nokia. |
Phones / Re: Android Phones Will Soon No Longer Support Installation Of APK Files, See Why by Denovan: 7:44am On Jun 15, 2020 |
seunfly:Huawei have thier own app store called app gallery, where developers can post thier apps there, I don't think it can affect them. Google is shooting themselves in the foot. When harmony os launch and Chinese government force all thier oem to use that will be the end of andriod. Google is trying to create a monopoly, but you know it's not going to end well. |
