I don't blame Seyi Makinde neither do I blame those who voted for him. He didn't win cos he deserved it, he's a mediocre candidate. Adelabu is far better than him.

Makinde won cos of the foolishness of Ajimobi and the short-sightedness of APC leaders who failed to caution Ajimobi.

People voted against Ajimobi, they didn't vote for Makinde. There's a difference. If Makinde was in APC and Adelabu was under PDP, Makinde would have lost.

Out of the 36 states in Nigeria, Oyo state is the greatest beneficiary under PMB/APC, the top major infrastructures under APC are centered around Uoyo state from Lagos Ibadan expressway, Lagos Ibadan Railway, Inland dry port and 14 federal roads.

Under the PDP that they just put back in power, Lagos Ibadan railway was abandoned and never started for 13 years.

Lagos Ibadan railway was abandoned and let rot and decay for 16 years even though they passed and embezzled several budgets for that road, even Saraki's first task after returning to the PDP was to slash and take away N30 billion from the Lagos Ibadan expressway budget.
They should have ignored Ajimobi and still keep APC in power.

I just don't see the sense and wisdom in taking a step forward and 10 steps backward just because of your anger against one man who regardless of your feelings against him actually delivered and made sure you are the major recipient and beneficiary of federal attention and projects in Nigeria out of the 36 states.?

Where in my comment did I mention Oluomo sent people to kill for him?

It is better to boldly ask questions than to be confidently raising dust.

Look at this can't read and comprehend joker asking me to read and comprehend. The topic is about a young man and his accomplishments, but your flawed reading and comprehension mentality turned it into his father killing people for money.

So, people are being killed just to make money for Oluomo, who is ordering them to kill or die just to make money for Oluomo?

Is the topic about killings and making money for MC Olomo?

This is about his son and his accomplishments, not about death, killings and making money so why not just congratulate the young man.

Please show this post to all touts on your way home or out. They should be reoriented.

Do you mean the treasurer of the NURTW sent people to kill your children or make money for him? You do mind listing the people he sent to kill your children and make money for him.

This is about his smart, hardworking and young man and his wonderful achievements, not about your hatred, pettiness, and jealousy.

Worry about your own children and raise them to be smart and overachieving wonderful children like this young man instead of hatred and bitterness.

Sounds like you and others want it the way it was when the PDP neglected the road and let it rot and decay for 16 years.

But Wike, an individual notorious for petty vindictiveness opted against it, to the detriment of Rivers. Other examples include the Banana plantation, fish farms and scraping of RSSDA. Not to mention TimaRiv and the sacked Ken-Poly lecturers. Had to mention all these to let you know I'm grounded in Rivers.

When petty governors come with pettiness and grudges against their predecessors, they get sidetracked and distracted, they spend all their time fighting their predecessors, they abandon their predecessors.

When he abandoned that project, the useless man let billions and a wonderful project go to waste.

Ameachi commissioned the best schools in Nigeria, hundreds of health centers, bridges, the best and the only functioning sports complex in Nigeria just to name a few, but what is Wike doing? Nothing, just mediocre rubbish all over the place.

Politics / FG Flags-off Reconstruction Of N3.6bn Lagos-badagry Expressway by deomelo: 5:01am On Jun 20, 2019

The Federal Government, Monday, flagged off reconstruction works on Okokomaiko-Agbara end of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, disclosing that N3.6 billion has been released for the exercise.

The Managing Director, Federal Road Maintenance Authority, (FERMA), Mr. Nurudeen Rafindadi, who disclosed this at the flag-off ceremony added that due to the importance of the road, rehabilitation works would be completed on the 12 kilometer portion of the road in six months.

He stressed that the aim behind the project was to reduce travel time on the international road.

“And that was why the Federal Executive Council, FEC in May approved the documentations submitted for the rehabilitation of the road,” Rafindadi added.

He explained that aside the Federal Government, the Lagos State Government was also working on another section of the road; dividing it into three Lots for easy and smooth completion.

According to him, the three sections on the 70 kilometre Lagos-Badagry Expressway are from Eric Moore to Okokomaiko which is 20 kilometre, Okokomaiko to Agbara, which is the second section, is 12 kilometre and the third section is from Agbara to Seme, which is from 32 kilometre down.

“While the first is been handled by the state Government, the Federal Government through the ministry and FERMA are handling the second and third sections. The second section is where we will be embarking on rehabilitation works. And for the third section, the contract has been awarded and would be reconstructed.”

On the second section which is been rehabilitated, the Managing Director said: “I can assure the motorist that in the next six and 12 months, they will see a better road because the contractor (Wizchino Engineering Limited) is ready to commence the work.”

While assuring motorist of improved traffic management during the rehabilitation exercise, Rafindadi hinted that FERMA would engage the Lagos State Government and the Federal Ministry of works on traffic management.

He said: “There will always be arrangement for traffic management. We have been on the project before today. We have done a lot of works. What I can assure you is that during the construction, the traffic will not be hectic as it presently is.”

The contract was awarded by the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan for $11.917bn. When we took over at the ministry, we renegotiated with the CCECC and we succeeded in reducing the contract sum from $11.917bn to $11.117bn and we are able to save $800m after the renegotiation,” he had explained.

https://www.marketdigestng.com/news/new-n458bn-lagos-ibadan-rail-project-commences-february/

Ameachi actually made sure we pay $800 million less than what OBJ and GEJ agreed to pay for the same project

Amaechi not only paid less for the same project, but he also started and set to complete the same project that was abandoned 13 years ago in less than 3 years.

You sound naive if you think there's only one way to get kickbacks. Ganduje did not receive transfers. He received hard dollars straight into his babanriga pockets. Go figure!!

1. It is idiotic and silly to conclude or insinuate that we paid more than required for the project without providing documented and verifiable details to base your ignorant and baseless conclusion on. This is what shallow and low intellect people do, they jump like bingo without facts.

2. Incompetence is OBJ and GEJ overbudgeting for the same project 13 years ago, competence is Amaechi renegotiating the contract and saved $800 million.

Amaechi's competence is the reason why we did not pay almost a billion dollars more for the project.

Again, you have nothing to offer beyond ignorance, shallow and unintelligent talk

Even sef, funds for the project was never transferred into Nigeria or any bank account in Nigeria, it's on paper and bank records in China that we owe for the project, no money transfer into any federal or private bank account.

So, Amaechi went to China to loot the funds or what?

Do you even reason? What analysis do you want to do to justify the matter? That another country is constructing a railline that is more than twice the one your country is doing for roughly the same amount. What mental gymnastics do you want to employ here? If the rail track here was to be 250-300Km, I could have reasoned with you. Not 156. And you're telling me of bridges, tunnels and labour. So?
