And am sure u saw d way people with common sense respond 2 issues. Am also sure u learnt a thing or two about how sane people can have a mature& civilised conversation devoid of d act of trying 2 measure dicks.

4d fact that u brought up d issue of palm trees& also shared photos of palm trees, clearly shows how much common sense u have. Cos I don't c y someone with all ur common sense will even mention palm tree as far as beautifying a city is concerned. In all honesty, I don't no what u wanted 2 achieve by talking about palm trees. U even said "Google palm tree".... grin cheesy grin
U really need 2 take a chill pill

1. Ignorant old man, it is palm tree and we are talking about palm tree, not any other kind of tree.

2. You asked about the maintenance difference between a real and organic tree and I educated you by spelling out the maintenance difference.

Keep quiet, accept the education and stop exposing yourself as the old man without basic common sense about what is real and organic

Real or not real, it is still public property and jokers like you should be speaking up against the destruction of public property instead of hallucinating and lamenting over what's real and fake or even supporting the lazy, crude and crass governor whose only job so far is the destruction of public property.

Rochas must have afflicted you with his iberiberism type of common sense. South East states need trees to hold the vulnerable soil together not mr Rochas’s fake palm trees.
Organic palm trees are not the only trees that could be planted for either the beautification of the environment or for ecological reasons.

That tree is a pollutant and deserve no space in sch a place but of course mr Okorocha just lije his peers do not listen to or consult experts in such subjects. That’s why he mounted a statute of Jacob Zuma of all people so as to propagate some personal and selfish goals.
Of all the lessons and ideas he’d copy from Dubai, it’s their fake and flashy palm trees! Nonsense.

Here's my response 2 his comment

With all ur common sense, u should no that u don't plant palm trees in d city. They are meant 2b planted in d farm. There are other ornamental plants u can use 4 beautification
[/s]

Lack of common sense was the initial reason for your ignorant and unintelligent question because, at your old age, you should know the difference between artificial and organic including maintenance.

Other ornamental trees are not the topic of discussion, we are talking about the ones the former governor of Imo state installed that you lawless, antisocial and destructive elements are destroying.

Google palm tree manage.

1. They grow and shed all over the place and when they do, hope and pray they don't fall on you.

2. To prevent such hazards, you have to hire and pay people or send city workers to climb and trim the tree.

3. What they have in Imo state is maintenance free, they won't grow or overgrow, they won't shed and fall on people and you definitely don't have to pay 1 kobo to have it trimmed or maintained.

This is common sense, but not really common on NL.

It's like you're as stupid as your comments sound. Don't be unfortunate. Stop disgracing your entire family online defending Okorocha's idiocies. The fact that the school had been on complete lock down for months now with zero academic activities and students languishing in idleness is enough reason for the governor to reverse whatever idiotic splitting Okorocha did earlier. How can a sane person create 4 additional polytechnics from a disfunctional one? Okorocha is really sick in the head. Every well meaning Imolite is very happy with the new development, especially the students and the entire polytechnic community, at least academic activities will resume. If Okorocha meant well for Imo state why did he wait till the end of his miserable tenure before creating whatever nonsense he did?

2. The former governor in his foolishness in making rational decisions , established universities in every street , the way he was erecting statues . And the new governor ha decided to remove one of unstable universities to enable him develop the rest , I guess he should have come to your house to tell you his reason for removing the polytechnic , considering you funded imo state's last budget ....

3 . only foolish people like you fail to see things from the other side , due to your myopic reasoning and non beneficial alliance to the opposition !

Bros,

You don't need to come to Lagos before we address something that not only does not make sense, but turns logic on its head. Olagunsoye Oyinlola created Osun State University with about 6 Campuses. Aregbesola came, he argued that it was too expensive to run 6 campuses and that all should be consolidated into one. He referred this to the Wole-Soyinka led education summit. This was further escalated to virtually all stakeholders concerned. At the end of the day Aregbesola lost the debate and 6 or so campuses still remains.

I would have thought there was a strategy in the creation of the 6 Universities and 4 Polys with each to serve a specific purpose. What was wrong with the strategy, Ihedioha did not address. How will it affect Imo people? NO? But it must be about eliminating any trace of Rochas. This is just a case of biting the nose to spite the face.

Of course, the only reason is hatred and juvenile obsession with his predecessor. He's not bulldozing his predecessor's infrastructures today because people challenged him when he destroyed the tower.

Imo people are in for 4 turbulent and unproductive years.

Where did I mention in my post , that he eliminated the only polytechnic
my point is the numerous universities you speak of in imo state , should ve developed ,instead of creating more from shaking polytechnics !!!
I don't like arguing with foolish people , especially on a Tuesday morning !

Stop exaggerating and quit acting as if he eliminated the only polytechnic in the state, you are ill-informed.

1. There's a difference between saying you are acting as if and actually saying you are. Learn how to read and comprehend.

2. The former governor in his capacity as the governor of Imo state created 6 universities and 4 polytechnics for a reason, but the new lazy and incompetent governor reversed the polytechnic decision without a single reason why, but you sat here and made up your own NL argument and reasons.

3. Only foolish people lack the capacity to read and comprehend and even make up stories just to spice up their foolishness.

How wrong !
A school that is not fully balanced as a polytechnic , is upgraded to a university , all in the name of achievement listings , and conferring positions , Yaba college of technology for instance, even tho it's been paraded , as the best polytechnic in Nigeria and on several occasions has been poised to assume a university of technology status , it still remains a polytechnic ...
polytechnics and universities serve different purposes , and if not for the Inferiority complex amongst Nigerian students , no one is above the other , if every polytechnic is been upgraded to a university how will the students ,who wish to attend polytechnic cope , we have enough universities already , govt should work on improving the ones on ground , not creating new ones from struggling polytechnics !

Good move from Ihedioha !

See needless hate, misinformation and propaganda

The former governor created 6 universities, 4 polytechnics and even free education on top.

Stop exaggerating and quit acting as if he eliminated the only polytechnic in the state, you are ill-informed.

Is it not funny that the Yoruba and the Hausa/Fulani want to take everything with what they have introduced as a new lexicon in our national politics? They ask:What did the Southeast bring to the table? When did that become a national benchmark for national inclusion

You don't want to include yourself politically or put skin in the game, but when it's time to share, you want to be included?

Don't you first have to include yourself when others are struggling, fighting and sowing the seed before asking for anything?

Politics / Re: Would The Govt Object If A Private Company Decides To Produce Power For Nigeria by deomelo: 12:47am On Jun 11, 2019
You are free to invest, but your investment means little or nothing at the end of the day simply because the current energy policy is murky and the other operators in the power sector that you have to work with, from the DISCOs to the GENCOs, they are all inept, financially burdened and stranded. They can not pay for and manage whatever you generate and supply and the TCN the FG is cluelessly and foolishly is still holding on to is pretty much obsolete.

The short term solution is to let private companies build their own systems from scratch. Generate, transmit and distribute in assigned states, LGs or communities.

For example, let a company service the whole of Mushin with their own power plant, distribution and transmission NETWORK and let them bill their costumes in Muchin directly based on regulated fees and payment system by the government and replicate the same model across the country while the FG work on a final solution.

Fact is, Nigeria is rough terrain for investors to invest in and generate ROI because more than half of the generated electricity won't go to paying costumers because of tapping.

Our leaders are very shallow, they don't think big or think country/Nigeria, instead of spending tens of billions of dollars to build and relocate to Abuja, they should have spent all that money on electricity and deal with Abuja later.

Power is the only reason why our economy is struggling and unemployment is astronomically high.

We need 2 things to really get us to the next level.

1. Electricity

2. Iron and steel.
