He is actually the only governor doing initial gra gra with all his toilet drama for a whole week instead of working.

Now he won't work unless Rochas returns to the statehouse to hand over the state house that the silly man already in possession of.

Dude. Why the focus on southern Nigeria? Why can't you bully all those greedy northern governor's like this?? There is too much unnecessary focus in the south and as long as I know. The south is more developed than the north.

This is why you end up with useless and incompetent leaders. You pick and choose good, bad and incompetent based on tribe and bigotry.

How sad.

In my own opinion, there is no need to release new hotlines.

The existing emergency lines of 767 and 211 can still accomodate this by expanding the call care personnel to take care of the new section.

You can't mix or combine emergency service line with a non-emergency service line.

Who or what is the new emergency line hurting anyway, nobody. Sounds like you just want to talk,

the people are not interested in endless streak of excuses. He maintained that the actions of the governor assuming office “showed that he is not serious and does not seem to have any cut out plan or blueprint for governance, except the desperation to grab power”.

Blueprint ke? Maybe toilet inspection blueprint.

Nwosu, who was reacting to claims by the governor that his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha, did not do a proper handing over and so he was finding it difficult to take off, admonished the governor to jettison the excuses and focus on his campaign promises of rebuilding Imo.

The lazy nab cannot work unless Rochas return to do proper handover.

Politics / Nwosu To Ihedioha: Focus On Governance by deomelo: 6:32am On Jun 06, 2019
The Imo State governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), Uche Nwosu, has urged Governor Emeka Ihedioha to unfold his programmes for the people instead of embarking on a “wild goose chase”.

Nwosu, who was reacting to claims by the governor that his predecessor, Rochas Okorocha, did not do a proper handing over and so he was finding it difficult to take off, admonished the governor to jettison the excuses and focus on his campaign promises of rebuilding Imo.

According to him, the people are not interested in endless streak of excuses. He maintained that the actions of the governor assuming office “showed that he is not serious and does not seem to have any cut out plan or blueprint for governance, except the desperation to grab power”.

Nwosu said: “The people did not vote for him to start chasing shadows. For the time he will stay as the governor, he should unfold his plans and programme for the people. No one is interested in excuses, what the people want is performance and nothing less. The people want concrete statement on what the programmes of the government are, what the government intends to do and how it would deliver dividends of democracy to them, and not embarking on a mission to pull down Rochas Okorocha.

My grouse with the present government is high level of hypocrisy.

I care less about your opinion about corruption because you are entitled to your opinion, but regarding this project and corruption, you are wrong, you can not even logically prove any case of corruption without facts.

Furthermore, GEJ's cost for the same project was higher, but the person you labelled corrupt actually renegotiated and reduced the cost.

Now, you see how silly you people sound.

It was re-awarded to the same contractor by the Goodluck Jonathan administration in 2012 for execution in six phases, starting with the Lagos-Ibadan stretch.

Okheria also said arrangements were being finalised to start the construction of the Lagos-Calabar and Kaduna-Kano rail lines.

“The contract was awarded by the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan for $11.917bn. When we took over at the ministry, we renegotiated with the CCECC and we succeeded in reducing the contract sum from $11.917bn to $11.117bn and we are able to save $800m after the renegotiation,” he had explained.

https://punchng.com/n458bn-lagos-ibadan-new-rail-project-begin-feb/

This is what these ignorant people missed, the contract was initially awarded by GEJ @ $11.917 billion, but Amaechi renegotiated and reduced the cost down to $11.117billion.

So, if you ignorant people should really applauding the current administration for renegotiating and reducing the cost.

When GEJ signed the contract at a higher cost, billion you losers did not cry and shout corruption and GEJ wasn't corrupt at all, but Ameachi is corrupt because he reduced the cost and ave Nigeria $800 million.

You people need to get your ignorant and hateful heads checked.

You should feel lucky for GEJ and his corrupt cronies and looters because China go don slaughter them a long time ago

GEJ and Okonjo stole $2.3 billion and gave it to Dasuki to share with their PPDP cronies from Fayose, to FFK, Metuh and others.

Oga, is Buhari's govt funding the Lagos-Ibadan railway?

Is signing a loan agreement with China for a project an achievement?

Who cannot do such a simple task?

Didn't GEJ do it in the case of Abuja-Kaduna railway, airport terminals and Abuja MetroLine projects?

See, I only respect leaders who prudently manage resources and fund their own projects.

Engaging China to fund a project with massive loans for future generations to pay is not an achievement.

Also with Chinese loan, even though his administration generated over $400 billion oil wealth on top of the ECA and other reserves they looted.

GEJ and Okonjo stole $2.3 billion and gave it to Dasuki to share with their PPDP cronies from Fayose, to FFK, Metuh and others.

Immediately sanwo-olu entered now, they released budget, the man and the agencies are jumping around with promises.
The state roads are so bad, that any slight fix performed today, will bring a great relief and show sign of hope (mass mind control), leaving lagosians to shout sanwo-olu praises hereby validating to lagosians minds why they changed the last guy.

So now. lets think well, do you think all the strong tussle that happen regarding the said matter, is due to the love of the state. Nah, Political wars have never been about the people of the state, its about the state of the people holding the political powers and their self-interest.

Stop spinning rubbish abeg. Ambode was the governor of Lagos state for 4 years, he had powers and authority to perform a similar simple task like filling potholes via a simple directive. His yearly budget was almost 1 billion, the largest in Nigeria and twice Fashola's yearly budget.

Little things make the biggest difference sometimes.

Sanwo Olu is doing simple things just days after inauguration and he's making Ambode and hs 4 years look worthless and incompetent.

Apart from the cost of relocating some facilities, especially the Nigerian Army 81 Ordinance Corps in Yaba which is estimated at over N5 billion, there is also the relocation of oil and gas pipelines within the Lagos axis. Also, the commitment of government to connect the rail line to the country’s premier port in Apapa comes at a huge cost going by recent presentations made to the minister by the contractor and technical consultant.

Also, the Apapa Port rail sidings initially estimated at 2.4km in the project are now to extend to 6.4km for seamless connection of the standard gauge to all port terminals.

https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/1-5bn-lagos-ibadan-fast-rail-fec-gets-cost-overrun-request-from-amaechi.html

The first article was about cost over which sounds justifiable to me and also why we keep telling you people to stop comparing Ethiopia rail project and the one in Nigeria.

From the rubbish you people posted, it clearly explained similar points we've been making about side issues and spending like paying compensations and dealing with other contingencies like relocating military facilities, relocating gas pipelines, extending tracks by miles.

Are they facing similar challenges in Ethiopia? No, and you can not prove anything.

Inability to read and comprehend shouldn't be one of your many personal issues.

1. Your co unintelligent people are doing the comparison, not me.

2. If you are going to compare and claim corruption, you first have to give us the construction the details, contract specifications, built in post-construction maintenance and management agreement, training and other contingencies associated with such projects, land cost and compensation, cost or labour and materials in both environments.

3. When you are done furnishing us with the contract details and documentation, we'll take it from there, but for now, you have nothing but ignorant rumours, internet stock photos and lazy assumptions.

4. If you really are interested in fighting corruption, then do the needful, do some research and dig up credible facts and knowledge about both projects.

And please backup your other points with figures if you can. Yes the nature of the projects differ but when you look at the magnitude of both projects and their respective price difference, there are questions that needs to be answered.

If you are talking about extras here, it's the Ethiopian one that should then cost more. Don't try to spin this around. Corruption is clearly involved in the Nigerian. A governorship aspirant in Lagos state made reference to this in the last elections.

1. Ethiopia is a country, Lagos is a state in Nigeria

2. Ethiopia is constructing a rail project, but Lagos is constructing Metro rail project with 10 lane freeway and BRT bus access

3. Ethiopia borrowed money from China, Lagos state is self-funding their metro rail

4. Ethiopia is not building a metro system with many rail bridges, on swampy land in Iganmu, across the Lagos Lagoon and the Lagos Marina

The Lagos Metro rail is the largest public works in Africa, it's what sovereign Nations embark with sovereign wealth on, not states.

As we speak, work is still going on non-stop.

Again, if you are going to compare, do so intelligently with facts, knowledge and accurate information to compare with because it is really silly and ignorant to keep comparing unrelated projects in different countries with different sets of issues, terrain and basic facts.
