Except that picture is old, those people gathered there are a very irresponsible set of people. I know they would have to cluster to get vehicles, but they should at least try to protect themselves. A simple face mask made by the famous Obioma is been hawked at N100. If everybody in that bus terminal has one on, while wearing long sleeve clothes, trousers, and cover shoes [ or socks if u no get shoe] would go a long way to reduce spread in a place like that but no. They would rather stick with the believe that "i'll be alright" even when the whole world is going down. "God will protect me and my own". as a result, many fail to take responsibility for anything. Sample the opinion of those clustered in the bus terminal, and you will hear them tell you "God Forbid" "Corona is not for me" "na rich man sickness" etc. We are at war. if you are going out, put on an "Armour" because social distancing would be very difficult to achieve. |

BOOZELEE: Yes, It hardly kills kids. But a child with covid will easily transmit it to his/her parents, grandparents, and other relatives who are within the vulnerable spectrum. As a matter of fact, even when the lockdown has been relaxed, kids will most likely not be allowed to go back to school until a vaccine shows up. And if perchance the govt opens schools up b4 a vaccine , most parents won't send their kids. I won't send mine. 202 Likes 8 Shares |

Taigreg: Was it all poor parishioners that got it? In your own parish have they giving to all the needy there, because in my own, they did not. Some of my parishioners are everywhere asking for help. There is absolutely no justification for this. The government should have been giving to the church to share and not the other way round. 70% of the government's palliative has been cornered by politicians at the local government offices. This too will go the same way. It is such a waste. I'm glad I didn't even contribute when the bishop asked Catholics in Lagos to. I would have been sick to the stomach on seeing this. Let everybody help the poor around them, since this season seems to be a season of eye service. When church resumes, we give to St Vincent de Paul society. Those ones are overwhelmed with requests from the poor that the last thing they would think about is giving to a corrupt government. |

fulanimafia: i remember a yoruba muslim guy (my friend though) who was screaming at the top of his voice in our estate meeting with so much venom and hate in his tone that an igbo man will never be president of nigeria, like his life depended on it. i was just wondering why he was so passionate about it. Sadly he suddenly died about a month ago, and i remembered that scene. If there is an existence after life, i'm sure an igbo man being president would be the least of his problems at the moment. He may be struggling to explain to God why he harbored such hate in his heart. regardless of his position and that of many others like yourself, If nigeria lasts long enough, an igbo man will eventually be president, its inevitable. But i doubt if it will last as much as it has lasted already. Therefore, focus your energies on more important things. if someone close to you is afflicted by covid 19 (i pray not) and is in a critical state and there is a shortage of medical personnel as is the case in many places today, i'm sure u wont be selective about the tribe of those treating him/her. And if a tragedy were to befall you due to the terrible state of national leadership we have in the nation as it has befallen many, i am certain you would have preferred to have had better leadership regardless of the tribe of the leaders and be spared that tragedy. Focus on important things. 6 Likes |

Turantula: Please say what you know. Did you hear Mbaka make that statement? I am not saying he didn't but did you hear him say it or watch a video clip of him saying it? Or it's just "dem say dem say" thing? Even if he said it, did he say God told him so, or he was saying it of his own accord? Abeg make una free the Man. He is living his life, live yours. At the end of the day, we shall all answer to God for the way we lived our own lives not another person's own. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Ejike Mbaka is too controversial for a Catholic priest and many of his utterances seem to be made without consulting sound reason. As someone I looked up to in my early days in the Charismatic Renewal, I do not like what he has become today. Even his spiritual father, the late Fr Stephen Njoku expressed his displeasure with Mbaka's ways. But one thing I can never doubt is God's anointing upon that man. Ejike Mbaka is highly gifted. I know at least 2 people that have received instant healings from life threatening ailments on his adoration ground, and they never returned to any hospital other than for verification tests till date ( the last of which happened over 10years ago). But gifting is not everything in Christianity. I honestly wish Mbaka can be more conservative in his ministry especially his dealings with politicians. But for those who say he was employed by APC to water the ground, I doubt it seriously. What will be his gain? From the video above, he seems to have prayed that man into the office of the governor. |

The truth is that Reno is no different from many protestant/Pentecostal church leaders who think they know so much about the catholic church while in actual fact, they know so little about her. Shallow knowledge and misconceptions passed from one generation to the other all the way back to the 15th century reformation of luther and calvin. For those who do not know, basically all major catholic practices have been in existence since the 3rd century AD. How does anyone think that Jesus, who made it very clear that the gates of hell will not prevail over the church, will allow the church to walk in error for well over a thousand years? If the catholic church was in error, how many billions of souls would have been lost in all those centuries? For the die hard "Catholics are going to hell" gang: if you have the courage, prayerfully carryout an unbiased research on the catholic church. Many who did ended up as Catholics, while others had a radical change in view. 2 Likes |

As much as i dislike the monopoly of APC in Lagos and Tinubu's fleecing of the state, i love to see men who apply proper principles in matters that are of interest to them in life. Every good leader must groom a capable successor to lead when he is no longer there. Aregbe is Tinubu's most trusted man. 2 Likes |

Chairman, you need to go to the hospital immediately. No body here can rightly diagnose what is wrong. It is only through medical tests that the real situation can be determined. It could very well be a harmless growth, or something more serious. See a doctor ASAP. 13 Likes 1 Share |

maiyee: Dont feel too bad about it, for that bias towards the igbos is almost unavoidable, and it doesn't mean yorubas are bad. It will take a very magnanimous people not to have a negative bias towards the igbos. Igboland does not have many "strangers" living amongst them. As a result, the few that show up are treated quite warmly and are appreciated. On the flip side, igbos have infiltrated every nook and cranny of the nigerian state in large numbers, competing aggressively with the locals and doing even better than many of the locals in their own lands. Add that to the fact that an average igbo person has a high sense of self pride or confidence (which is usually perceived as arrogance), and you will understand why there is that animosity towards the igbos everywhere in nigeria including the South South part of the country. That is our lot as igbos. Let's live with it. 14 Likes |

deebrain: We are not a wonderful country, rather we are wonderful nations merged in one geographical expression and thats why we have a problem. The least that should be done is to completely restructure the country and weaken the center. That way everyone minds their business and grows at their own pace. Only then can we make true progress and reap the benefits of our diversity. Outside of that, we would always be a nation in conflict with one another. I have lived mixed sufficiently with people from all tribes of this country to know that no tribe is better or worse than the other. Every tribe have their own characteristic, and they are comfortable with it. Why then are we always at the throats of one another? Because we are all made to eat from the same plate of food. One likes to eat with his hand, the other with a spoon, the third with a fork, the fourth with a fork and knife. What do you expect - confusion, accusation of one eating more than the other, and one making a mess of the table. At the end of the day, that food will not go down well. But put the food in separate plates for each one, and it becomes fun eating together. Why can't our leaders just do the right thing? 9 Likes 1 Share |

i have always believed that buhari leading this country would set us back 30 years. I quite underestimated the destructive power of rudderless, senseless and sinister leadership. Never has nigeria had such number of incompetent men running various sector of the nigerian state, and their numbers are on the increase(Fowler vs Nami is the most recent. can you even compare both men?) To think that the Nigerian Army can come out to say that IPOB is responsible for producing propaganda videos were soldiers were shot is not just incompetence, its lunacy. And to have a president that has refused to sack an army chief who has midwifed and superintended over the process of degrading, demystifying and creating the most disgraceful Nigerian army in history is the 8th wonder of the world. Yet he finds no difficulty in removing the most accomplished FIRS boss in the country's history for another dolo of northern extraction. I would appreciate if those who have supported this junta that has lasted over 4 years now can state one visible achievement thus far. What a mess of a government. 17 Likes |
