Politics / Re: NDLEA Raises Concern About Drug Use In Anambra by Donmarrius: 4:14pm On Oct 03, 2014
The fight against the use of hard drugs, and ilicit trafficking of same, must be discouraged by all and sundry.

We can't afford to be the hub of drug abuse.

And i strongly advice against tribalizing this issue.

All hands must be on deck,in this fight against drug abuse.

Yes,Abia 'suffered' under Orji uzor, but Abia 'died' under T.A Orji.

Again, under Orji Uzor, the federal allocation meant for Abia, was ceased by OBJ.Also, over 86 oil wells belonging to Abia, was in the hands of Rivers.

But under T.A Orji,it wasn't so,which means,he has a 'lot' of money to work with.

BTW,for purpose of record,am not from Abia,neither do i av' a relation there.Am just a 'concerned' Igbo,from Imo.

@Ulonnaya,thunder from hell, will fire you,for ever praising kakistomoboplutocrary and mediocrity,in Igboland.
God will never ever allow you, assume any leadership position in entire life, for ever promoting a government, under whose watch many souls has been lost, and others plunged intoto, into abject poverty, due to the neglect of the common things, that will add value to the people of Abia state, especially Aba residents.
If am not mistaken,the pictures you are posting here,are T.A Orji's achievements,in the past 8yrs,with monthly federal allocations,NNDC allocation,IGR from Aba,and the entire state,and other 'unseen/unknown' int'l aids?.
Thunder will fire you again and again and again, until you repent.idioot,baastered.

APContherun:
That my brother is the worst way to solve national and personal problems. You don't solve your problems by pretending and wishing away your past and the mistakes made therein. True the war was fought several decades back but we need to revisit it every now and then so as to undetstand the mistakes that led to the war. Nigeria is in its present situation because we have refused to learn from the mistakes of the past, it's undeniably that the events that caused the war then are rearing their ugly heads again and unfortunate that so many people are willingly urging them on.
Some say revisiting the war may reopen new wounds but I say that the wounds are still very fresh even more than 40 years and the best way to heal the wounds is to not repeat the mistakes of the past. We can only avoid the mistakes by knowing them and we can only know them by revisiting the war.

whitecat1: Dream on! Empty barrel!

You think economy is about the few naira that can't feed you?

None of your people made the top 5 richest Nigerians but Yoruba made the list. Even your people has not made forbes richest Nigerians but, Yoruba makes #2 after Hausa each year. The recent richest Africans list has Yoruba as #2 again after Hausa. And the richest Black woman in the world is Yoruba. So you need cover your head in shame for throwing lies in the air. I guess that's what you need to compensate for not measuring up to the tribes you love to hate.

Your people are petty traders, the real business men and women are Yoruba and Hausa in Nigeria.
It is shameful, that after haven exploited Nhgeria for over decades, its only two people you can boast of.
Thats why we call people idiats.
BTW,Orji Uzor Kalu,is the 4th richest Nigerian, and in that list, you have more Igbos, than any other tribe.

Politics / Re: Ebonyi State You May Not Know. by Donmarrius: 3:06pm On Sep 28, 2014
christejames: Energito God bless you for the promotion. I believe this will shun the mouth of haters of that state always seeing the state as a "backward" one with no visible infrastructure. Now they know that that state has dualised roads, highrise buildings, international market, schools et al which other states that we are hyping (currently) are hyped because of such projects. I'm not trying to exonerate Ochendo from blame but we need to cut that man some slacks, his state is the least in terms of allocation but we are seeing some major projects from him although he still need to do more and better... Thanks again Energito!!! More power to ur elbow!
For goodness sake, who hates Ebonyi, which is Igboland?.
If am not mistaken,Ebonyi is one of the youngest states,in Nigeria, therefore, nobody is expecting her to do magic.
But please, what we are saying is that,"Whatever worths doing, worths doing well".
We are talking about infrastructure.I don't care how many he built, all am saying is that,if it is two project that he was able to undertake, let it be of good standard.

Look young man, if you like, hate, fume and even spit fire on this forum from now till Obasanjo does a moon-walk the fact still remains that a civil war has been fought and won remains in the annals of the Nigerian history. History remembers the battle not the blood.
Dont waste your time hating on the yorubas and hausas as they can't have your time. And BE WARNED because history will repeat itself again if any of your folks tryna OJUKWULISE the country again....The fact that the Word biafra existed before Nigeria isn't an excuse to secede besides I think it will be more logical if Ojukwu agitate for the re-christening of the word" Nigeria" to "Biafra" without threats of seccession.
And as for the dead old man, leave him alone and let him alone, what counts is the fact that he did his job perfectly well and with precision, and that's one of the hallmarks of soldering.
This life is in checks and balances, the Igbos are there to be aggressive and taunting, The Hausas are there to throw out the Warning Finger, and if the Igbos still hold on to their aggressive nature the Yorubas will silently emerge from their enclave and wreak havoc on them. This is what the yorubas have been doing to the igbos since the time of moremi circe 1760 AD....
Let me therefore appeal to your common sense, online forums such as these are available for the mutual exchange or sharing of opinion in a matured and civilised manner,so therefore stop using verbal insult to attack fellow nairalanders whose opinion is not in line with your scope of reasoning. Education doesn't justify atrophy in moral comportment
Thanks..
Having learnt you are a mole in the world of the mental decriptudes,as evidently worded herein by you,i wish not engage you any further, but to correct few important issues you raised.
Prominent among them,is this;
"The fact that the Word biafra existed before Nigeria isn't an excuse to secede besides I think it will be more logical if Ojukwu agitate for the re-christening of the word" Nigeria" to "Biafra" without threats of seccession".
It's obvious you are either suffering poor vision,or lack of comprehension, else, you would have seen in the post you quoted, the place i told you,to search the 'territorial boundaries' of the Bight of Biafra, and the people inhabiting it.
Let me answer you this way;
1."The fact that the Word biafra existed before Nigeria isn't an excuse to secede".This is the most stvpid comment ever.I want to ask you,did lugard consult us before amalgamating us?.why do you want us to be in same bondage of 'forced marriage'?.Mtchw!.
Or don't you know that as enshrined in UN charter, which Nigeria is signatory to,that Indigenous people across the world, has an 'inalienable' right to self determination, when their existence is being threatened?
2."besides I think it will be more logical if Ojukwu agitate for the re-christening of the word" Nigeria" to "Biafra".
Every part of Nigeria, isn't part of Biafra, hence, that suggestion isn't necessary.
3."....without threats of seccession".
Ojukwu never threatened seccession,he opted for it,when Gowon renaged on the Aburi Accord.read about the Aburi Accord.

Finally,on your rant on what Yorubass will do,well, all i will tell you for now,is to get ready,Nigeria will very soon witness the worst of boko haram. Not in ideology, but in brutality.(Not a threat, take it from me)

tonytony208: Mr Op and the first responder above me, your comments are pitiably shallow. Yeah, adekunle Benjamin might not have gotten oil blocs before he died. It is a pointer to the fact that Adekunle did not fight for selfish reasons to enrich himself; rather, he fought for nigeria to possess the oil that biafra was planning to steal by coaxing SS and calling them "brothers" (brothers my foot).
Adekunle was a dutiful soilder and he obeyed orders from his superiors like every well trained soilder should do. His unforgettable and well documented campaign against the boko haram-like rebellion called "biafra war" was in total submission to the directives of his superior. Adekunle was not like some thoughtless soilders, who took up arms to fight against authority and divide the nation for selfish and hypocritical reasons.

You flaathead biafrans should stop picking on this man. When you want to cry like defeated eediots, kindly make your ways to ojukwu's grave and whine and cry there. You can cry him a second river niger if you so desire. Ojukwu was the one that led your grandfathers into a war he knew you couldn't win and not Benjamin Adekunle. Ojukwu knew biafra didn't have the military hardware to win, yet he fooled your grandfathers into the war. He now spelt doom for biafra by asking the poorly trained biafran rebels to overrun Midwest. I learnt that your grandfathers were given matchets/cutlasses at a point during the war to confront nigerian soilders, who had bazookers, artilleries, jet fighters and whatnots. How was that Adekunle's fault? Abeg, you biafrans should stop playing the victim and seeking for pity. It is only the truly defeated that does such. You may not like this, but it is the truth: that you biafrans were not the victims of the biafran war; rather, you were the VILLAINS!!! You brought the war upon your own heads. So, leave Adekunle out of it.
This is one of those people i tag 'ape of the millenium'.
Those who has refused to think, but allow sentiment,to becloud their sense reason.
So because he didn't get oil block after the war, that's why you said he didn't fight for selfish reason?.But the man you are trying to defend, gave you out already.Read that article again, and see for yourself,he said he fought for oil.Are you not stvpid,to say otherwise, when the man has said it all,or do you lack good comprehension of English?.
That he failed to get oil block after the war, perharps as was promised to him, means he was used and dumbed.
Evidence to that is,he wept and begged the people that used him,for money,to even buy paracetamol, but he didn't get it.

Again,it will be a slap on history, for you to say that Biafrans started the war.
Please, google who fired the First shot.
When you find out, come back to this wise saying of mine,"In science,it is said that Action and Reaction, are Equal and opposite, but in war,Action and Reaction isn't Equal, but of course opposite".

Another issue that you raised that i mustn't left unattended to,is your assertion that Biafra, was trying to steal what you tagged SS oil.
I will address it socratically.
Here;
1.Did Nigeria preceed Biafra,or Biafra before Nigeria, with respect to their age of existence?.
2.Find out the word Bight of Biafra, for how long has it been existing, its original territorial boundaries, and its people, and compare it,with the entity called Nigeria, created on 1914/1960.

Who is stealing from who then?.

@Topic,i belief those who claim to be Niger Deltans, has seen it all.
Those who see Gowon,as their 'saviour',has seen what Gowon was actually fighting for, using his surrogates like adekunle.I belief this informed the decision of adekunle,to shoot any moving or non moving thing,so they can occupy the our land, and take our oil.
Meanwhile, adekunle didn't even smell the oil that he fought for,he died in abject poverty.
