tinsel: Stop being petty! Even the blind can see the difference. This is not an ethnic tussle. What you have in Obi is a real democrat with quintessential credentials to help save you from yourself in Nigeria. The ordinary folks in this country, who were traumatized by the shameful outcomes of the conventions of the two major parties have now been given a good reason to let out a huge sigh of relief. Obi might not be the savior we are waiting for, but by far, he is a massive improvement to the atrocities representing the APC and the PDP 279 Likes 12 Shares |

Proudlyomonna: I didn't answer to any of your rubbish because human beings don't answer to stones! If you are itching for a civil discuss next time, try not to start by calling your betters "efulefu". Ozu Nkapí like you.. One moment you are talking about power belonging to the people and in another breath, you are chastising the people for not conforming to the wayward dictates of the state, when they sidetracked the nebulous constitution to form a defensive armed group called The ESN. Who wrote the socalled constitution that your so called state functionaries assumed their power from? The people of Nigeria or some overfed military turncoats, who rammed it down your gullible throat with the butt of a gun? You said We handed our rights to our elected representative? Elected representatives based on which constitution? Once again; WHO WROTE THE NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION!? Why should I listen to a loquacious reprobate like you and respect the legitimacy of the products of such a farce, while ignoring the highly acclaimed and locally ACCEPTED actions of the TRUE DEFENDERS of my people, as has been shown repeatedly by my people!? Do I look like an inebriated agbadorian serf like you? Nonsense and ingredients.. 1 Like |

Proudlyomonna:If you're a saboteur", it's fair that you would be treated as one! I'm from Imo State too and any serious force willing to help protect the East from the marauding Fulani herdsmen should be supported. You can stay there and be splashing saliva left and right, in the end, the fact remains that any military force that does not derive any sort of support from the locals will always struggle. Between your Nigerian Army and ESN, who struggles vis a vis the loyalty of the people in the east as at today? Impostors desperately trying to lay the east bare for their diabolical goals.. 1 Like |

Soyinka is even misyarning by trying to put IPOB-ESN and a murderous Miyetti Allah in the same sentence. That's enough insult and should stop! Miyetti Allah has openly accepted that they are involved in the killings of people over cows in Beneu state and beyond. Their members have been caught while carrying out their genocidal harbits across the country. How can you try to explain their gorry existence by bringing the name of a very peaceful independence movement like IPOB? Because IPOB set up ESN to undermine the killing spree by the fulani herdsmen? It's like asking for the proscription of The Nigerian Army because they're confronting Boko Haram. 2 Likes |

Authority1o1:Most agbadorian upstarts in Lagos were burn around 1999 , so they genuinely believe the lie that Tinupoo built Lagos. He's all they have known all their lives. He makes governors for them every 4 years. They don't even know of people like Marwa, Jakande or Ndubuisi Kanu! Tell them about all that was built in Lagos by Gowon, and they will argue.... More like a primitive monarchy. Most of them have finished The Youth service and are jobless, but are stuck with the Bourdillion tingod, since he makes rulers for them... It's like people under Paul Biya in Cameroon. He's all they know throughout their lives.. They have accepted their gorry fate and are now singing the praises of their Tormentor in Chief... It's disheartening really... Do remember that the bulk of our "Lazy yoots" consists of folks born either towards the coming of democracy in 1999, or immediately after that. You can't even call them the "indomie generation" anymore... They're more like The "Dorimee generation".. Money for hand, back for ground generation.. 1 Like |

Starz825: The problem is in your head not me. You worry a lot unnecessarily about the Igbo man intentions.., actually, in my own summation, most of the people in this country, have a rabid case of igbophobia. They all get startled once majority of the igbos follow a particular political trend. Hausas and fulanis can dramatize their support for Buhari and it's all fair. But once an Igbo man hypes Peter Obi, you start to get frustrated with his "tribalism". I mean, what are we supposed to do? Keep mute to prove we are "Patriots"? I don't understand why you guys raise the bar to the high heavens when the Igbo man is involved and then steap the bar into the latrine, when say it's the Fulani guy... Why the fear? What has the Igbo done to you to make you unravel in this way? Are they the Fulani herdsmen butchering tens of thousands around the country for fun? I said that the political agitations in the east has helped to focus the national attention on the gross marginalization of the East, which has gone further to sway emotions towards eastern presidential candidates, since many in this queer country, genuinely believe that thisß is a reasonable cause..., how is that tribalism in a country where one of the other two candidates is shouting "Emi Lokan", while the other is trying to elongate Fulani rule to 16 years nonstop? |

Politics / Re: One Year On, Weekly Sit-At-Home Brings South-East Economy To Its Knees by DOTian: 10:48pm On Aug 20, 2022 |
The sit at home is necessary! Folks should stop crying more than the bereaved! The protests, sit at homes, frustrations and anger that are all associated with the whole political realities in the East are essentials. They're NEEDED ingredients for political emancipation. If you're dormant, you get nothing. Power concedes nothing without force. Sit at home is a very effective peaceful political tool to register the Igbo mans frustrations with the shame called Nigeria. These are essentials and are stages that must be passed for that political freedom to be achieved. It may hurt. It may ultimately be costly in terms of economic losses but in the long run, these protests will help reintroduce the Igbo man in a more politically emphatic terms to other Nigerians. It can only get better from there.. For starters, if not for IPOB-ESNs extremely radical political sensitization in the East, and the fact that Buhari overplayed his hands of hatred towards easterners, folks like Peter Obi will not be attracting much attention today. That's a fact! He didn't attract half of the attention he attracts today when he ran for the vee pee last time. Igbos would have continued with their political apathy. But look at the numbers turning out for their PVCs in the East today. Folks know that this might be the last chance to change things peacefully! Buhari has taught us a bitter lesson and the time for political complacency had gone for good! The sit at homes worked! Igbos have finally decided to seriously engage Nigeria, in other to solve the problems of the marginalization Eastern Nigeria once and for all.. 40 Likes 6 Shares |

Difrent: 1) The current political structure of the country that is pro looting and "sharing of the national cake", was instituted after the war in 1970 by ofcourse the northerners and the South westerners. They're the ones who started whimsical State and Local government creations in such corrupt ways that made these socalled levels of government nothing but cesspit of corruption. All these states and local governments do nowadays is to loot and share money. Essentially, those who reengineered Nigerias political structures to what it's today are the ones who unleashed looting and greater kleptomania as the mainstays of Nigerias political life! 2) Food is not cheaper in the north because of your funny analogy. According to you, somehow northerners prefer to consume more locally produced goods than southerners who prefer foreign goods because they want to stay "woke"! That is pure arrant nonsense. The whole yams, tomatoes, onions, beans, cows and goats eaten in the South, are ALL FROM THE NORTH. They are not imported from England, China or Australia, so how do the southerners prefer foreign foods Some of you are so ignorant on these issues that one is always stunned about your desperation to pontificate! Do you know how many dams and irrigation and fertilizer and water projects that have been done in the North, just to help agricultural output by the federal government since 1960? Can you point out similar projects in the east for example? Yes, the North has the land but so do Chad and Niger and Mali who don't have the cash for massive utilization of their landmass! Federal government financial incentives made commercial farming easy in the north and that is why food is cheap there. Refusal to invest in modern transportation systems didn't help matters too.. 3)The north believes in Niger republic and not in Nigeria! If you doubt me, go to Zinder via Marada in Niger republic and ask folks there about how Buhari and his goons have transformed their land while your Nigeria suffers.. Northern government officials have done more projects in Niger republic over the last decades than any of them in power has done in Southern Nigeria. Go and do your checks. 5 Likes |

Not just in the judiciary, The north has been operating as a different political unit since independence. They don't hide it. They don't believe in Nigeria unless they're the ones on top. It has been their position for eons. Once in power, they raid the countrys vault like Anini will do a banks, because they have no familial attachments to the country. The prices of basic commodities like food are far lower in the north than in most parts of the south. Essentially, the north has been existing as a state within a state in Nigeria for ages. Blame the socalled leaders of the South for allowing this to happen,... They are busy building up a country that will be destroyed by their "fellow Nigerians" from futa jallon.. 102 Likes 10 Shares |

How about the Eastern minorities that are totally happy with providing pipeline security for the same forces that have turned their ports inactive for years? Meanwhile Niger Delta politicians are busy brandishing their socalled "political pact" with their "northern allies"! Take it or leave, the fact remains that the most confused set of Nigerians are the Eastern minorities and this is because the so called Niger Delta as a political blok doesn't exist. The two criminal candidates of the corrupt elite, representing The APC and The PDP are about to be shamed. These gangs of vampires that have held this epileptic amalgam down for generations are about to be outhustled, outmaneuvered and outcompeted in this presidential election. This might be the last chance Nigerians have to break totally from the past and wrestle power back from the hands of these evil tormentors that have pillaged this country to no end since the 60s. 72 Likes 7 Shares |

Softmirror: Your ignorance about the role of government in the life of a country and her citizens, is alarmingly stunning.. If the blame lies solely with the ordinary people, what is the responsibilities of those in government then? I think that part of the reason why wayward dictatorships have thrived here is because most Nigerians traditionally came from conservative tribal bases where obeisance to the monarchies is supreme. They have now transferred these sort of crude village allegiance to the despots in power today.. As far as they are concerned, those in power were put their by the gods and as such, shouldn't be blamed for their obvious failures. It's really a very negative way to appraise the role of governments in the life of any given society.. Get this very clear.. It's the duty, I repeat; THE DUTY of the government to provide her citizens with the necessary/requisite skills to compete in a modern economy. Pure and simple! Provide schools with healthy curriculums, skills acquisition centers with necessary tools, good fiscal and monetary policies to encourage production for both local and foreign consumption, ensure the existence of good banks for accessible credits, scout foreign lands for markets for goods produced by your people, etc. These are the jobs of the government that must be done very well, in other to keep the people busy and engaged with active productions. Presidents are not elected just to share Niger Delta Oil money and to fly around the world in big private jets.. They're elected to solve societal problems like these.. |

When your country has been turned into a butt of jokes by her clueless and useless rulers, foreign countries will treat the citizens like dirt. It's the case all over Asia. Nigerians treated like shyt because nothing will happen. Ofcourse, the fact that the country breeds lawlessness doesn't help matters. This country is continuously being raped by her socalled leaders and this has hardened the heart of the citizens to not respect basic laws. This has also led to a situation where generations of Nigerians are basically lawless and work hard to break all sorts of laws wherever they go , since that was the way they managed to survive the evil system back home. Ofcourse, being blacks, most of these countries find it easier to deal with Nigerians who disobey the laws in their lands more than they will do say Pakistanis or indians or Chinese. This country serves no useful purpose as it's presently constituted. 26 Likes 1 Share |
