Who will take the news from TVC serious

Are they any different from NTA
grin grin

One of the reasons Tinubu would rather die than let any other party take Lagos over undecided

Eeehhh his investments undecided

Somehow you brought tribalism upon a thread that has nothing to do with that. Perhaps Tinubu should sanction the employment of igbos then and sack the ones already in its employ.

Very professional I must say. Their broadcasters, TV hosts are top notch, very eloquent people. I happen to like Veronica a lot.

Jonathan sank us into recession by looting us dry during the time of plentiful.

Despite Buhari administration earning 60% less yet he's come up with plenty projects such as

Our railways at itakpewarri, Lagos-ibadan, kaduna-abuja etc,

The production of low cost fertilizers,

Zik maoseleum

Baro inland port,

Rice mills,

Foreign reserve increase from #26b to #43b,

Construction of our express highways such as enuguonitsha, Lagos-ibadan etc.

Social policy schemes such as tradermoni, npower etc

There are other social development schemes most people don't know about and APC sadly has done little or nothing to give publicity to them. The only reason Tradermoni got press is because of VP's direct participation.

An advice to some insane people in this country. No matter how hard you hate Igbo's, don't fight them publicly!

Don't play with one of their own!

Just hate and envy from afar but don't go compete with because you will fail. In business, sports, and any areas of life.

Love Igbo and you will prosper

You are funny. Yes the church service was in the reception venue and a pastor in my church was assigned for it alongside my marriage counselor.

When I requested if it could be done, the pastor I talked to said that as long as it doesn't go against the scriptures, then it can be done.

Touché! Well done! Thanks for the heads up.

Lol...I am in Nigeria. It was what we both wanted. We told the pastors in our church about our idea because we wanted the service at the reception venue.

Haha I'm from that tribe but this is everything I ever wanted. Pulling it off is a goal. Lol. Are you saying you brought church service to the reception venue, that is, you were not joined in a typical Nigerian church and a Nigerian pastor agreed to that? This is awesomeness in all its glory!

Well...marriage isn't love but love is marriage. Getting married is a proof of my commitment, endless love, respect and responsibility towards my husband. I also want our children to have a sense of entitlement towards him. To know they can call him, "Father" at any time of the day, with pride, love and possession.

There is a level you get in life, you don't need to advertise yourself or blow your trumpet for any reason, others will do it for you. And for someone like Wizkid who started from the bottom, he deserves every encomium for reaching the zeniths of heights.

I know this will call for argument, but the distance between Wizkid's greatness and Davido's is SO wide. And with his level of achievement, Davido doesn't even come close. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

You aren't wrong! Why do you think davido makes noise all the time? It's to stay relevant and direct press to himself.

In the Eastern region, it was a bit different because there were few unifying leaders to force such laws on the Igbos. A British author noted that the Igbos always had a meeting to decide whether a law was good for their people or not. As a result, the British had a tough time implementing their policies.

So the same thing is playing out in Lagos today.

And how has this improved the life of the average igbo or stopped them from moving from their arid region on a daily basis, for greener pastures, to this same Lagos whose leaders you're criticising. this same Lagos that your brothers are unashamedly benefiting from

I've been on such panel before and I got the job. There were 9 of them including the MD. It was like holding a conference. I got to know later the rest of them were very irrelevant. Well not so much as they were the HR, GM, Dept Heads and External Auditor. But irrelevant as to the decision making process because, well, as I made to leave, MD asked me, "how soon can you start?"

Agreed.

You have to know your worth and be prepared to walk away if the time and /or conditions are right.

Last year I turned down a job with a company that wanted to pay me a nice salary but 1/10 of what my colleagues who would be expatriates were earning. F..k them. I cannot be a second class citizen in my own country, go look for someone else to do that.

Nigerians generally have no sense of dignity and worship money too much

Hilarious.

Before I left my former employer, I gave a month notice as was required. Prior to that, I had notified my MD privately that I wanted to leave. He talked me out of it, following which I stayed 4 months before tendering officially. I actually took the opportunity that he was out of the country to do that. Well, mgt notified him of my intention, he flew back the following day.

When he realized I had made up my mind, he was definitely hurt and said some cruel things for up to an hour, if not more. Na wa o. This was on top say I give notice o. On getting home, I started to contemplate whether to give them a shocker by leaving abruptly, so I took along with me to work the next day all company property ie phone, ID and such. When I got to work, I began clearing my desk and all of that.

My subordinate came to me to sign a doc as was customary and pass same on for recommendation to the co-founder of the company (she has equal authority as the MD. You can call her MD2). When the doc got to her, she directed my then sub to reproduce the doc, bypass my recommendation and bring directly to her.

That broke the camel's back for me. As someone who has zero tolerance for BS, I gave former sub one or two instructions, codedly told her I was leaving right then. She wasn't to tell anyone, I told her.

When MD1 heard I had left, I got a call from him where I was to explain why I left. In his words, I absconded. In my head I'm thinking, "that one no concern me". As a frank person, I told him I left because, "MD bypassed my recommendation". He said I was hasty concluding and tried to get me back, but I gave an excuse of being out of town, that I'd answer any questions or concerns over the phone or WhatsApp.

Employers want to treat you like shit. But you gotta respect yourself and appreciate your worth.
