have your blood pressure checked often, control weight, cut down fat intake, quit smoking and reduce alcohol intake, avoid hard drugs (they can cause stroke in a very young man),exercise even if its brisk walking of 30mins daily.Stay healthy.

OMG, this post reminds me of the immediate cause of the accident I had in 2015.

I was driving on the highway, going at 140kmph and I was trying to wear my sunshade. So I only had my left hand on the steering wheel at 7 o' clock position, at the same time I approached a sharp bend, very sharp bend almost a "U" kind of bend.

Slowed as soon as I could, suddenly there was a highlander in front of me,

I tried returning to my lane and gboosa dts when I lost control and somersaulted..

My point is assuming I had both hands on the wheel and in the right position, I wont have lost my 406.

Wish I saw this post earlier
140km/hr with a sharp bend in sight?chai

Chukzyfcb:

you said your car somersaulted that is not because of the way you held the steering. when going around corners expert advice's you don't brake while on the corner you risk skidding off the road.

depressing your brakes while on the bend was what made you skid at that high speed of 140km/hr, if you had stayed on that gas pedal while on the bend. ur car wouldn't have somersaulted. this is a car lessons experts from even formulae 1 race often give because they encounter bends a lot in their races

never hold your brakes when in a bend when coming from a high speed be it car bicycle or motorcycle, skidding and somersault is a potential eruption
i wonder why he had to drive at 140km/hr with a bend close by in the first place?if he is not familiar with the route, that's another reason to drive with caution.well for me,12 o'clock, left hand,at all times.I don't exceed 110km/hr though.

Plain skull xray...
will go with him for the Xray tmrw morning.
Thanks
those are not likely from an infection as they are not reddish or painful. Also, they cant be enlarged lymph nodes.skull xray??indication:multiple calcified skull lumps?i will advice u wait and see a dermatologist before u subject the kid to ionizing radiation in form of xray.A Dermatologist should know better.By the way,a dermatologist is likely to order a biopsy rather than xray.At least first if need be.

Even our president that has access to the best facilities and best medical doctors in Nigeria doesn't trust Nigeria doctors ,for ordinary ear infection he went abroad for treatment yet he keeps saying we should patronize local services. If u ever witness a situation where Nigeria doctors have caused serious damages ,you wont even want them to clean ur wound talk less of sticking a needle in ....
Alright bro.

Bros no matter how simple it is ,I dont think in my conscious state I will put head down for a Nigerian doctor to do that ooo. I remember when a little boy had a small bump after colluding with a wall ,the doctors were already telling the parents they were gonna an operation on the little boy of less than 2 years old ,it was the father that said no and used just Panadol for the boy. Those Nigerian doctors will just be using ones head for experiment or specimen practice
You might have met the bad ones,it doesnt mean all are bad.If all are bad, then who has been treating the sick?Or they all fly abroad for treatment?

HAAAAA YOU ARE PLAYING WITH FIRE. Your head accommodates vital organs that cant be repaired or replaced ,that is where your eyes is and ur ears, and just because of a scar u are allowing Nigerian doctors to stick the needle into ur head! The worst that will come from them is " we are sorry". Your problem isn't the scar but inferiority complex ,you feel the scar makes u incomplete and unattractive but seal has a big scar ACROSS HIS FACE and yet married a model and lives with confidence. You need to take ur mind off the scar and take the scar even as an advantage. Your problem is psychological not physical. Be careful with ur head . Ok oooo
Take it easy,no doctor would stick a needle into the head of a patient with keloid. Its called LOCAL infiltration.it means, the injection is received by superficial tissues, surrounding skin is even spared. For example,if you have a scalp laceration, the edges will be infiltrated with local anesthetic e.g xylocaine so u wont be shouting aaaah, eeeeeh yiiiiii because of pain while the doctor stitches u up.it doesnt mean the doctor's needle will penetrate your brain.A keloid located at a part of the body where clothes cant cover is an indication for treatment if the patient wants treatment.

keloid is a common abnormality of wound healing common in blacks especially those with family history of keloid.its management is tasking and recurrence rate is high.its common on the anterior chest, shoulder, back, ear lobes(can occur after ear piercing),neck.Surgery yields immediate result but it wl likely come back since the wound wl still have to heal. You had injection at the site once, bet its triamcinolone acetonide,a single dose isnt adequate, the result is better but slower to achieve but u must repeat the injection multiple times. Its expensive too.Other treatment options such as cryosurgery, laser may not be readily available. Some use chemotherapy too(5 flourouracil). You will be best managed by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist.take care.

Dude ,you abused Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory drugs e.g ibuprofen, diclofenac, aspirin and their brothers. etc. They are not meant to be used for long and ulcer patients shouldnt take them. There are special preparations that cater for such now though.Good you are fine now.

The hospital saved the woman's life.In such a situation, most likely Severe post partum haemorrhage secondary to uterine rupture following prolonged obstructed labour, fast decision making intra operatively is very crucial. There is no time to dilly dally, but its sure the husband was told the situation of things. He probably agreed and signed under tension, but he later realized his wife would be without womb so he sparked after getting his wife back alive.A wife without womb(with children) is better than a dead wife with womb.About the bladder, its very common to have bladder affectation from prolonged obstructed labour, urethral catheter must be in situ for at least 10days to prevent vesicovaginal fistula(a very common condition in the north where teenage girls with underdeveloped pelvis get pregnant) I have Seen a doctor who donated blood to a patient to save his life but stl later got labelled bad.I personally have donated too, thank God they were appreciative.people who dont knw the ethics of medical practice will start blaming the doctors here.

Sure that worn ring gear came from your transmission? I am not able to ID it.

Well, hard parts like that one don't care if you use crude oil, as long as they get lubricated. If you had many burnt frictions (that is what they usually change(your pic labelled the frictions and disc inversely)), a VB check is advised. Also, whenever such jobs are undertaken, it is advised to install a new filter.

Enjoy!
those are pictures i grabbed online just to show u the parts replaced during the wrk.guess i shld leave the gear oil then.he cleaned the filter, and said its still ok.lets see how it goes over time.thank u very much for the time.i really appreciate.

If we switch positions, this what I will do: I will drive it like that!

First, there is no way for you to tell the ATF that was in the transmission before you repaired it, but I can tell you it was not DW1, unless you put it there. It could be any ATF!

It is good to play by the 'rules' but we need to keep an eye on their application. Even if you drain and refill your transmission 5 times, you will not get out ALL the ATF therein. The only way 'out' is with a fluid exchanger, which I am yet to see anywhere around. Just rest assured it is not only the lubcon you have there. You should still have about 4 litres of the old ATF, unless your torque converter and valve body were drained.

Did he work on your valve body? The reason I asked is that clutches don't just burn. If what caused the old one to burn was not addressed, the new one will go the same way. That is the reason transmission jobs dont last in Nigeria!

Have you ordered the DW1 already?

i googled what valve body looks like,he didnt work on anything like that.he changed the parts in the pictures below.the one with worn out teeth, and the other one had those rectangular structures on the surface flat.no friction. He didnt open the valve body and torque converter.Through out the wrk all i was seeing is the 3rd picture below.i am yet to order the atf .thank you.

@kashif ,thanks for the prompt response sir,i was hearing a strange sound when gear is put in reverse frm drive and car wldnt reverse. during the job,i was shown a rounded metal with several teeth, with some of the teeth worn out.(the mech said the sounds was frm here) (it was removed frm inside the gear box),also,a rounded object with 8-10 burnt round plates was also replaced.(he said its D5,that i shld change it as well). The car drives fine now,no more issues.but i only decided not to drive it because wrong oil was replaced in the gear(lubcon dextron 11). By flush,i meant changing with the required oil twice to mk sure wrong oil doesnt remain inside.or do i just drain, and refill with honda atf DW1 once?thanks once again.

Hello kashif, pls i need your advice.i recently had wrk done on my gear( honda accord 03 Auto).the inside was cleaned including the filter.(I saw the removed debris). The mechanic replaced the fluid with lubcon dextron 11.i got to knw so i parked the park while i await original honda atf DW1.Now,should i *flush* out the lubcon dextron 11 or perform a *simple gear oil change*?pls advice.thanks.

oga GAZZUZZ,please advice me.The same thing happened to my EOD 03 v6 2days ago as i entered a pothole.A mechanic fixed it on the spot and said I should buy new ball joint and lower arm.Another said I should buy new ball joint and tie rod.On getting home that day after the *temporary fix* ,I started hearing a strange noise whenever I put the gear in reverse from the park position or drive position.this sound doesn't come up at times, but when it does, the car doesn't move.it comes only when the gear is in reverse positon. The noise appears to be from the front of the car.please help.what could be wrong?I have parked the car away for now.

Very unprofessional, medical ethics say *male doctor must examine a female patient in the presence of a female chaperon* and a *female doctor must examine a male patient in the presence of a male chaperon* the chaperon is preferably a staff of the hospital (most times a nurse). Always ask for chaperon when an examination involves the private parts. Here, the doctor fumbled, and the woman didn't resist. she later went to his home to collect *ointment* At times, some ladies deliberately show up at the hospital to bring down *weak* male doctors .I remember a 21yr old girl who complained of nipple discharge to me,I started taking the history of the discharge, then she said I should not ask questions but see the breasts myself firsthand.I simply called in my chaperon(a female nurse). Then I did my breast examination. they both messed up.

I called a mechanic who fixed it and I was adviced to change the ball joint and tie rod. Another said I should change the lower arm.Am planning to do that soonest.Same day,I started hearing a strange sound from the front whenever I put the gear in reverse.then it stops when I put it in park or drive.it sometimes doesn't come when I move from park to reverse.but sounds again on moving from drive to reverse.it only comes when the gear is on reverse.please help.thanks.

@op,sorry about your Dad.May God grant him eternal rest.Amen.Its however unfair to generalize. In every profession, there are those who give their all,and there are those who do the opposite.I am a youth Corper serving in a Comprehensive health center in the north,I work every hour of the day,I am the only doctor ,I have no nurse, just two guys that assist in run arounds.I see as much as 30-50patients per day as its the only government hospital in the town and sometimes I have to do minor procedures, run ultrasound scan for pregnant women, review admitted patients in the evening.I get home earliest 8pm,sometimes 10pm ,1am.sometimes I sleep at the hospital with mosquitoes to monitor *bad* patients.Free on Thursdays? no,I avoid CDS to be at work. Sundays? I still go to work.No closing time for me,its work till every patient is fine. There was a day i bled profusely from the nose (epistaxis)spontaneously, I thought my end was here,I wanted to call home but I hesitated, two hours later,i found myself suturing a patient's wound to arrest bleeding.I heard the nearest general hospital has only one doctor.can u imagine the kind of work he will be doing? The generalization is unfair, it depends on individuals. And really, there is no government in this country. The health sector is messed up but some doctors still do their best as humans under such a challenging condition.Sorry for your loss op.its really sad.take heart.

bros, this is not about our doctors, it's about us. we're supposed to observe changes in our body after ingesting a drug. I've experienced this same thing b4, about 5-7 months ago. I had malaria and a doctor prescribed Fansida for me, I took it and all those black spots (roughly 5) appeared on different parts of my body, I met a doctor and dey prescribed some allergy drugs 2me. 2months after again, I was coughing and took septrin and those spots started manifesting again. I didn't observe until 2months ago when I was coughing and took septrin again, 30mins afterwards new spots started coming again. it was then dat I observed it was d septrin dat caused it. I guess I was just lucky to have observed Early.
bro u should avoid all sulphur containing drugs then.fansidar is pyrimethamine plus sulphadoxine, septrim is trimethoprim plus sulphamethoxazole. Anytime u visit a doctor, always say u react to sulphonamides manifested as this this and this.
