Imagine someone who owned a shop for renting home video tapes and discs back then.
Nowadays, GoTV, Netflix, DSTV and free to air subs would have pushed such out of business.

This should be fun. Fortunately, I just saw a we've course buh too much grammar like solidity, Solana and the likes. Can a non-coder break into the Web3 space?
There is an aspect for non-coder just like in medicine. Not everyone in a hospital study medicine. We have the administrators, those who are business admins but all the knowledge is to contribute to move the hospital forward. But if you want to be a doctor, no way, you must study medicine. Same is becoming a web3.0 developer. You are like a doctor, if anything goes wrong with the whole codes, frontend and backends, there will be wahala.
Blockchain knowledge without coding is for everyone. Hence you don't necessarily need to be a code geek to venture into web3.0.
Programming / All You Need To Become A Web3.0/Blockchain Developer in 2023/2024. by Easyincome24: 8:50am On Oct 18, 2023
Good day fellow nairalanders. I will be your OP on this topic and I promise to do my best to update this thread from time to time.
I trust it's going to be helpful to many newbies who are just coming into Blockchain as a software developer.

The purpose of creating this thread are as follow:

1) to groom the next generation of Blockchain Developers;
2) to build a community of strong-willed WebDev who in turn will build others;
3) to create more jobs among youths who are ready to take the future in web3.0
4) there are few threads on web3.0 on Nairaland, hence this is going to be the most comprehensive topic on web3.0 from zero to mastery.
5) the industry needs more skilled personnel to unearth the magics in Blockchain.

Disclaimer: The OP is only sharing tips for educational purposes, as such, should there be any names, brands, or contents mentioned or used in the cause of the discussion, do your own research (DYOR) before absorbing them hook and line.

About me:
I'm based in Nigeria, worked in several sectors before resolving to delve into tech fully. I had made several attempts to launch into tech starting with social media marketing before I found BLOCKCHAIN as a mainstay after several research on the topic itself.

Nairaland has been a helpful place for me as I have benefited in couples of topics relating to tech and business as a whole. I must give credit to Seun Osewa and his team for creating Nairaland. It is to me like Reddit, Quora, Discord, and many other social communities I belong.

Now back to the reason why this thread is created. You must have heard the following terms, Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, NFTs, Metaverse etc. All these are emerging technology which will soon take over the world.

Africa is not anywhere near the rest of the world from statistics. Sometimes, I ask if we are existing among the rest of the world. Check Europe, America, Asia and the rest of the world, research is going everyday on machine learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning, Blockchain etc with grants and scholarships to encourage young people to pursue careers in them.

Unfortunately for us, we are still striving with corruption, terrorism, poverty, and many unwarranted crises. Despite being in this country, sometimes, I get lost in the deep ocean of Blockchain research that I don't even know I'm still bodily present in my country.

The virtual conferences, cohorts, discussions, debates, project participations are so overwhelming and a good thing for anyone to get engaged in.

The challenges will always be there especially for many of us who come from less privileged backgrounds. Worst still, unemployment, high inflation and epileptic social amenities are enough to discourage one.

Don't worry, I'm also passing through the same challenges as you are going through. This thread will be made a comprehensive one so that you can pick it up wherever you left.

I hope some of my posts don't go against Nairaland's rules. I will ensure to read, digest before writing any thread in order not to get banned or my links being removed. I believe it is possible to get all right!

Lastly, I'm fun to be with, I will ensure this is quite fun to read. At times, I may deviate from conventional (too serious academic) writeups will be avoided. Guys, we have much serious things to pursue, make someone no con return me to classroom again. grin grin

In my next post, I will talk more about walking your way up to becoming a Blockchain Developer.

If you can take this study as fun, you will ace the steps faster. Don't squeeze your face when reading it, put a smile on your face like Lagbaja sang, no matter your condition. smiley

Web3.0 is fun to delve in, don't mind those who want to scare you with book book book and research. For you to read my writeup till now, no be say you Sabi book before? Abegi, let the newbies breathe.

To me,owning a land and build house on it should be every man's priority in as much he is do in fine his lucrative business.car can never be your initial purpose, because how would you be living in a rent house and own a car, does really make a sense?no..having a house is like have peace of mind there be won't nothing like when this year end i will try my possible to pay upcoming rent fee before the present one get expire.

Sounds wise. Someone up the thread kicked against this his reason being that one is still young. But he affirms investing on land at this tender age.

How much will you buy a completed apartment?

Lets average at 40 million. How much rent and years will it take you recover that cash and get into profit? Maintenance excluded.

You can make better investment and same time spread your risk with such amount.
What about outright sale off after acquiring?
If it's a tastefully built environment, that can go as high as N75M-N100M.

Owning a house is a long term investment and a liability for your age. Land is better.

Do you have needs for a car? If yes, hold lands and buy a car. Building is not worth it if you just starting up. You will end up caging your money.

You can use remainder to invest in good stocks. Google, Raytheon and Amazon

You could also hold rare coins.

At your age, it’s guaranteed you will smile in +15 years and will have more than enough to build if you choose.

One can buy some completed apartment and lease it out. What about that too?
I understand the aspect of buying a landed property as well.

House! Car is a liability and has expire date.
I disagree with your last statement.
Cars have expiry date, maybe you may let this make more sense.
I accept it could be a liability of not been used for business.

It's good one plans his/her life early enough to avoid story that touches.

Some of our parents never believed that the country will become what it is today.

My father told me how cheap lands were in the country when he was in his 20's. He regretted not investing enough due to shouldering many responsibilities especially bringing his siblings and extended families to the city. He nurtured them till they became of age. When he realized what's up, time has exceeded him as we the children have needs too.

Now, I'm asking the following question: between owning a car or house, which would you advice someone in his 20's to acquire first?

Both can yield returns as long as they can be used in the proper way for investment.

Can we have more people comment on this to help many who are still in their 20's and able to fund any of the assets?

Note: Some young folks are doing legit work earning in $$$. I have some techy guys in their 20's as software developers, Blockchain DAOs, Freelancers, Content creators, YouTube influencers, Social Media Marketers, 3D animators, AI engineer, Bitcoin minning. They evolve around tech working remotely. So, not all of these guys in their 20's are yahoo yahoo, at least these ones I can guarantee.

We engaged in a discussion where they raised the above question about which is best between owning a car or house at their ages.

You can imagine agent for house rent giving you bill like:

House rent - ₦2.5m

Service charge- ₦500k

Agreement- 10%

Commission - 10%

Damages - 10%.

Total package- ₦3,750,000.

And we think this is normal, no one is speaking against it. This is corruption itself, we the citizens are our own enemies.

What other things related to this have we all accepted to be normal?

I feel your pain, your story is relatable.
Thank God you have something at hand doing.
Since you know about crypto, you could also have channeled your programing knowledge to Blockchain Dev. There are remote jobs that pays tangibly for junior roles. I could sense you are into cyber security or ethical hacking. That's not bad either, you may not make the dow faster like others, but you are on the right step already.
In the interim, connect with people on discord, telegram who are into the same stuff you are learning currently, you can see gigs through them if you are willing to earn. Nothing is impossible, you just need to be focused. Picking this skill today, dropping it for another tomorrow are part of a disoriented life.

About attending school, you already found UoP, it's a good place to be.

Let me see........that would be;

1.My natural ability to keep things neat, tidy and organized. It's a gift I like to use to bless my family and friends with. One friend in particular (Natalie) can't stop talking about it, she travelled overseas one time and left her house keys with me. A day or two to her return I cleaned her place up, made the bed, cooked a pot of stew and refrigerated it for her. It gave me so much pleasure to hear the gratitude and pleasure in her voice when she returned to her house and called me to say thank you.

My brother (Nathan) couldn't stop raving about it either when he also returned from an overseas trip to a similar experience in his home. Nat & Nathan have both suggested I start a cleaning business. What they don t understand is that not every skill is meant to be monetized (in my opinion) It would drive me crazy to clean the homes of strangers because of how extremely dirty some folks are or can be. I may end up with PTSD and in a mental home if I tried that grin.

I have to say I am just badass like that cool..........when it comes to housekeeping and hospitality. I hate to cook though, but give me a broom, mop and cleaning items and watch me work my magic.

2. My sensitivity, by this I mean my ability to sense other people's moods, needs or wants, and meet those needs or wants, if I can, without them voicing it. I am able to pick up on things from a person's tone of voice, body language or a situation. I get a kick out of their pleasant surprise when I do this.

3. I don't think this one is unique or peculiar to me alone. The ability to make myself climax without touching my body or any sexual organs. I just use my mind and imagination to do that. Interestingly I've found lovemaking and intimacy to be more enjoyable in my mind and head, than the real thing. Emphasis on more enjoyable.

4. My sensuality in and out of bed. It comes naturally and effortlessly. For real, I am not even trying to hype myself, I say this based on what I have been repeatedly told by an ex and more than one admirer. I will never forget the guy who said I gave him a hard on from simply answering a phone call. He called while my cousin was in the shower, I answered the call to let him know she was indisposed and would return the call asap. Dude wanted to know who I was and later confessed what happened to him that day. I think it was the quality of my voice messing with his testosterone.

Such a unique trait you have.

Let have your take please.
Family / Re: Married As A Virgin, Married For Love Yet..... by Easyincome24: 12:08pm On Oct 14, 2023
1) You are such a good woman to keep your virginity, no doubt about that. Unfortunately, no award for such in this life. We have seen wayward ladies end up having a good marriage.

2) Covid affected many homes, no man will be happy not providing financially for his home. Your hubby's case is different in that he is fixated on getting a job in multi-national. This too is not bad but the reality for now is that none yet.

3) He is depressed, hoping he would be lucky through gambling. Some of us were too, but we never left our hope on such unrealistic chance. I for one, lost so much to Forex, Crypto, Gambling and some multi-level marketing. There is a lesson to learn, which is retracing our ways, today, it's not all high hopes but all well and fine for a normal life.

4) You need to help him, if you can speak with friends and family that your hubby needs a job. Women are influential, anyone could be moved by your tender heart to helping your husband.

5) Drop whatever comparison you nurture. Social media, school mates etc, everyone is here on a journey. Some makes it earlier than others. The only thing you can do is to be your better person.

6) Three children to take care of, house rent is due, hubby out of job with nonchalant attitude towards life including gambling. These you have identified as the hurdles in your life presently, they will soon be over if you follow God's leading.

7) If you feel like going to your parents place due to the expired rent, don't deny him access to the kids. If you also shut your heart against him, he might end up being worst than he his. Just be harmless, prayerful and offer good words anytime altercation comes up. People of his kind are usually angered by any slight provocation which may lead to abuse.

cool Remember, some homes are dealing with worst thing than you are currently facing. In the end, the tough time will soon disappear if you dismay not.

I noticed this in school, after school and currently.

If I decide to go into medicine, banking, Tech, Engineering, they will become as if I was born into them.

I've changed fields severally as opportunity presented, it's all fun.

Believe this, everyone has that one unique thing that sets him/her apart from another person. Technically, everyone has either an inane ability or acquired ability that makes one unique or stand you out from the rest of us.

Though this may be looked down upon based on the part of the world we found ourselves but always occur when you go for a job interview. No matter how secretive one wants to be, in no matter of time, it reveals itself in you. It's what makes you unique, that's who you are.

This qualities are what recruiters look out for in you. It also could be what the opposite sex long for in you during relationship.

The fact that some of these habits may not tow positive ways like others do not necessarily make them bad or to be termed negative. Everyone can't be a conformists thats why liberal society exists.

For you, what's that thing that makes you unique from the other person?

If this can get to the front page, it will allow us to get more comments on such a good question.

This is appalling if all that is said here is true.
Our constitution is what it is today due to selfishness, there is a law for the lower class, middle class, upper class and no class still from the same constitution.

Hotel business is a good business which will see more patronage when customers can trust to be safe under your watch.

I understand that various people do come to the said hotel especially due to its location in Ikorodu, it is however out of point to lay siege, extort the owner at any time. Make your arrest, try the offenders and don't affect the business.

Who will pay for the damages done to the business now? Will the business be able to repay N168M without collecting another loan to service it?

Same zeal should be extended on other regions in the country and make a legal arrest, prosecution of offenders and stop the victimisation of innocent people and businesses.
