I really enjoy your lectures. God bless. Is it advisable to change ATF of tokunbo vehicle immediately we bought it.

Thanks sir for the kind words.

Inspect the oil first. Depending on the car, inspect to see if the oil is still fresh. It it has turned dark like engine oil, pls have it replaced asap

2,196,000,000,000. Hope the
borders remain closed for a year.

Read the article again sir. Your calculation doesn't take into account that the revenue before closure was 4 to 5 billion. If that is so, there is only a rise in 1billion which is 365billion in a year (1billion USD)

Its so sad that not everyone understands this article. They used to collect 4 to 5billion daily but now collect 5 to 6billion. There is only a rise in about 1billion.

Does this warrant a total closure of land border?

Why not open up more ports in the country? You decongest Lagos and then you open up more source of revenue.
Then after this, you can shut all land border?

Why don't we first create palliative measures before we use sledgehammer.

We still haven't disabused our minds from Military mentality

hello Ebuks4ever, I recently changed the gear box in my Golf 4(1.6 Auto Trans) a week ago and was told I'd have to program it. I have been using the car without the programing. Is the car at any risk without the so called programing?

How is the gear change? If the gear is changing and no check engine lights, then you are good.

Good morning sir, please can I Use Oando Dexron 11 or 111 on my Car? It’s Toyota Camry 2005 model, XLE, V6. It’s just 6 months old and it’s like the oil is a bit short when the mechanic inspected it but the color is the very okay.

Pls don't use the Oando oil. I repeat don't top up with a different oil from what's inside.
Get a litre of Toyota Type IV and use it to top up

Goodmorning pls which gear oil can you recommend for my Toyota Camry 2004 XLE (Big Daddy)

I noticed that the gear oil leakes small small due to the oil seal that is weak, so I want to top up the gear oil as it is short already and I can notice it taking a little time before the gear changes while on motion and also the sound too

The recommended oil is Toyota Type IV. Also try inspecting the oil in the gear to see the state. If it's dark and black, then it's due for change.

I used 5w 30(Manual spec) Mobil 1, fully synthetic on my Toyota Rav4 2001 model the first oil change after purchased as Tokunbo about 9-10months ago. I decided to change the oil today but no Mobil 1, 5w 30 fully synthetic, so I was advised to buy Mobil super 2000, still same 5w-30 but Semi synthetic. To my greatest surprise, the car exhaust was full of smoke and couldn't accelerate well enough. I had to call my mechanic and drain out the oil immediately, After touring several Mobil filling stations, I got Mobil 1, 5w 30 full synthetic, (1Ltr x4)- #4k per litre. and engine work smoothly again. Please, I need advise on what substitute to use on my car on next servicing because Mobil 1, 5w 30, fully synthetic is not readily available in Mobil filling stations anymore, except for the Mobil super 2000, 5w 30, Semi synthetic which I learnt they will replace the fully synthetic with, don't know how true though, Thanks in anticipation

We sell the full synthetic American version which is even more superior... We run an online store www.mrparts.ng
And we can deliver to your location

I have same problem with my Civic 07. I was traveling with, suddenly it could no longer enter another gear. Climbing the smallest Hill is impossible. I parked and saw that all my transmission oil has poured. The oil seal is weak making all the oil leak.

My question is...

If oil seal is fixed and new transmission oil poured in, can the gear box go back to normalcy or it just to get a new gear box entirely.

Abeg.. gurus recommend.

how much will it cost you to fix and change transmission fluid. If it's small compared to the price of a new gearbox, then i advise you repair. But if it's expensive, then gear a new box as you might have to keep repairing the old box.

Gurus in the house, pls my Toyota Sienna, 2004 model is making a sound "kor" when its changing gear. A gear box mechanic was recommended. The mechanic drive tested the vehicle and said the lubricant in the auxiliary has tried and needed to lubricate it to know if the auxiliary is still okay. He bought oil and mixed it with grease and lubricated it, yet the noise has persisted. Meanwhile, the gear shifts perfectly, but only the noise that it makes.

Now, the gear mechanic says the auxiliary is bad and requires to be changed. According to him, the cost is 100,000 naira for a new auxiliary.

What do I really do? Advice me professionally, pls.

He's probably right. The auxiliary has its own grade of oil (e.g 75w90) but should never be mixed with grease as this will just speed up killing the internal parts.... They add the grease so as to silence the noises but from the look of it, some parts have really worn.
