Hope you have downloaded all the interview transcripts compiled on this thread. That's all you need. Study the transcripts to learn the questions the VOs ask. Develop your own answers based on these questions. Study your answers and learn them. Have a relative, friend or neighbour ask you those questions (conduct mock for you) and you respond and take in some corrections that may be offered. Revert here if you have specific questions.

NIPOST works well. I shipped some documents from NIPOST to Texas. It arrived in just about 1 month. I used registered mail and paid less than 500 naira. Only problem is that though they will give you tracking number, you can't track the item. You only know it has arrived when the receiving party tells you.

Provided that you are young enough, your chances are good. VOs often frown at older people going for bachelor's program. But again if you have very solid reasons for not having done your bachelor's program yet, you can get your visa.

Please make sure that the DS-160 barcode number in your profile on www.ustraveldocs.com matches with the barcode number on your DS-160 documents. congratulations to those people granted visas and congratulations to us too in view. I applied to a SCH and got admitted, if I was asked at the interview how many schools do I apply to , can I say 2 or 3, will they know I applied to other or not tanks

It has been advised here to keep those numbers moderate. 3 or 4 is fine.

hello house i need help i didn't Finished filling my ds 160 only copied my confirmation number and quickly used that in processing my appointment so as to get a good date,

eventually couldn't get a good date so i applied for expedite appointment now it has been approved and appointment date changed.

so i wanted to login back into my ds 160 to get all done but couldn't gain access showing the following :

Surname does not match.
Year of Birth does not match.
The answer for the security question is incorrect.

so i think my best option is filling another ds160 now i cant cancel and rebook appointment as it can only be done twice.

please what can i do so that my appointment confirmation can carry my new DS160 Confirmation number?

i know i can update profile on appointment booking portal but dont know if that will make things work fine.


please help is needed on what to do.

August admission for the most part is closed, at least application deadline for most schools. I will advise not to be in a hurry since you said you are new, so you don't make mistakes.
Take your time and soak up all the information you can learn here. Plan for your tests and aim for Spring (January) 2018 or Fall (August) 2018.

Did you check on your school website? I was preparing to travel from Abuja to UNN and something said to check the school website. I found that I was able to request my transcript on the website and paid online. It was very seemless and said me a ton of travelling stress.

If you register sat in an sat center, they should give you the book. When i registered it was 25,000 without the book and 35,000 with the book. This was 2014. So technically the book was 10,000. However i used my cousins own. Now my neighbor who is taking sat either this year or next said she was trying to get hers from amazon. I do not know if it worked for her, (she's in naija) but she checked amazon and konga also so i would advice you to check konga. Next, it is just SAT 1 which is the normal sat. Except you want to take the subject test which is sat 11 and it is not usually required by most unis

Kindly note that some items can now ship from Amazon.com to Nigeria directly. I just checked the official SAT 1 from collegeboard and found that it can.

Happy for all getting their visas approved. Mine is tomorrow at the Lagos consulate. This will be a second trial after a failed attempt in Abuja.
The little problem is I filled in 'no' unknowingly for the question of if I had been denied visa before. Hope it won't count against me. How can I defend myself if it comes up.

I am guessing you have submitted the DS160 but you would have just said YES.

A man behind me on the day I went got his on the 8th attempt. I do not know that answering yes on that question will affect your current chance. The VOs do ask people to try again so they know people do come back.

You can make dollar payments with your Naira Mastercard. If it's GTBank, you are in luck because they just increased their monthly allowance from $100 to $1000 with naira cards.

GTbank or not, just use any funded Naira Mastercard you have. If application fee is $100 or less, it will likely go through.

Worst case is the payment won't go through and you will know. Just give a try. Nothing to lose.

Do you meet physically with this agent or over the phone? If you do, she should be able to allow you sight the I-20. That will even ginger you finish off the payment. If you can't sight the document and she can't snap on her phone and send to you just to view, your family might be right. She is most likely to be lying.

What to do? Close her chapter. Use this thread and others to target Spring or Fall 2018. And do it yourself this time.

i would like to know how i can over come my fear at the point of entry.

i mailed my school that i will be coming on the 26th of this month(arriving new York on the 27th), that i will visit a friend in another state in US before resuming to the school in August (the official date of resumption is 15th of August),

I Inform the school not come to welcome/pick me at the airport that my friend will there for me. At-least b4 academic rigor start again, i should cool off with friends en family a little.

I am sure you already know to have your International Passport and I-20 on your self (not checked-in travel bag) at entry.
