Education / Re: How To Pass WAEC 2020 "Tips" Thread by Edustuff(m): 4:59am On Jul 22, 2020
1. Have God in your life: an old proverb says “God helps those who help themselves”, Pray to God before the exam for wisdom, knowledge and understanding. And pray to him after exam for better outcome. That’s what’s called “God’s factor”

2. Have the right mindset: who told you that you can’t pass WAEC 2020 on your own without examination malpractice?. Have the right mentality that you can pass this exam on your own. Not just passing the exam but with distinction.

Education / KASU Commences Online Lectures To Enable Students Continue Their Studies by Edustuff(m): 11:55am On Jun 01, 2020
KASU Commences Online Lectures for Undergraduate and PG Students to enable students continue their studies through digital devices and reduce the time being lost as a result of the lockdown occasioned by COVID19.

The Kaduna State University said on Friday that it has commenced online lectures for its students at home during the ‘lockdown’ period.

Google Classroom is the official platform for all lectures and not Zoom. However, the Broadcast message circulating yesterday about a Simulation Class to take place today via Zoom was organized by a Students’ Association in KASU to help students familiarize themselves with the new development – Online Lectures.

It is just like a training/tutorial session to show students how to navigate through the Google Classroom Platform, possible challenges to experience, and what to do if such occurs.
Through the Zoom platform, hundreds of students can join the meeting, visual and Audio features would also be available for easy understanding.
The Kaduna State University said on Friday that it has commenced online lectures for its students at home during the ‘lockdown’ period.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Muhammad Tanko, who said this in a statement in Kaduna, added that the lectures were in line with the directive of the Federal Ministry of Education.
Tanko said that online lectures for postgraduate students had commenced since, adding that it would be extended to undergraduates very soon.

He advised undergraduates to check the school websites for update and other information.

“Schools have been closed for a while now and our students are idling away at home following the stay-at-home order.

“The e-lectures would, therefore, keep students busy with academic activities while at home, and may enable us catch up with the academic calendar,” he said.

He commended Gov. Nasir El-Rufa’i and his team for the proactive measures taken to prevent further spread of Covid-19 in the state.

The Vice Chancellor noted that although some of the measures, such as the lockdown and social distancing were tough, they were in the best interest of the state and the nation.

“We are confident that Kaduna State and Nigeria in general will beat the pandemic, following the measures being taken to curtail further spread of the deadly virus currently ravaging the world,” he said.

It would be recalled that the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, had on April 3, directed all universities, polytechnics and colleges of education, to activate virtual learning environment.
Adamu said the move was to enable students continue their studies through digital devices and reduce the time being lost as a result of the lockdown occasioned by COVID19.

School Re-Opening: Will Morning And Afternoon Classes Suggested By FG Work?

Ever since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria schools have been instructed to be closed which included the primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institution across the nation.

It is now couple of months that students are at home and are adviced to study at home, some institutions also adopt the use of E-LEARNING, which enables students to learn using their smartphones. Unfortunately no everyone have the access to a smart phone to access the internet for online classes so students are eager to hearing the Federal Government to announce the resumption of schools.

On Wednesday, the Mister Of State for Education, Emeka Nwajiuba, said the Federal Government is thinking of breaking classes of primary, secondary and tertiary institutions into sections during a briefing in Abuja by the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.

He said there may be classes in the morning and classes in the afternoon, so as to prevent the risk of exposing the students to the virus.

Now, despite thousands of primary and secondary institution in the country and hundreds of tertiary institutions, will the idea of morning and afternoon classes work, will the institutions be able to follow any other instructions given by the Federal Government?
