According to the reports, The Academic Staff Union of University ASUU has suspended its 10th month strike today, December 23, that began on March 2020.

ASUU National President, Biodun Ogunyemi, made the announcement during a briefing of the union in Abuja.

Ogunyemi warned that the union would return to another round of strike action if the government fails in meeting its part of the agreement reached with the university lecturers for the strike to be called off. He noted that the reopening of the schools, considering the COVID-19 pandemic, lies with the Federal Government and Senate.

The suspects who were arrested by Operation Puff Adder on December 19 about 119 days after the incident, said “investigation is in progress for the arrest of the remaining culprits. The suspects will be charged to court after completion of the investigation.”

A 29yr old woman has been jailed for lying and faking cancer to her Friends so they can sponsor her dream wedding.

It was stated that Toni Standen of Widnes, Chesire, made up a story that she has been daignosed with Terminal cancer and she just had just two months to live.

Her Friends Launched a GofundMe page which help she and her partner James to have their wedding done.

She has been jailed for five months and ordered to to repay a donation of £2,000 made by a local businessman.

The Crown Prosecution Service said that in June 2015 Standen told two of her friends, Ashlea Rowson and Jennifer Douglas, that she had been diagnosed with terminal vaginal cancer.

Ms Standen provided regular updates on her treatment to her friends with such clarity and detail that the condition was never questioned.

She also shaved her head to appear as though she was undergoing treatment and shared pictures of this on social media.

The fraudster later claimed to have two months to live and said her wish was to have her 57-year-old father Derek, who was dying of cancer, walk her down the aisle.

Her friends began fundraising to help fund the wedding – which was held after the death of her father – at St Bede’s Catholic Church in Widnes.

Her father Derek died before the wedding but a video he recorded was played on the big day.

A Viral Video was shared online after a lady whose name was not shared was seen in the video rejecting her boyfriend's proposal after dating for 7 years.

The heartbroken boyfriend insisted that they have been dating for 7 years now, and he was shocked that she would turn down his proposal in the public.

According to the reports, Two men has been allegedly arrested after using Biscuit and egg to attract children to them as they Kidnap them.

It was stated that the two men who is Involved in this are Identified as Ekene Duru and Chinonso Slyvanus.

It was reported that they Kidnap children and Traffick them to Port hacourt to a Woman who sells them off to Couples who doesnt have kids.


While Interviewed, Ekene Duru confessed that he kidnaps children at age of 2.

According to him, He said;
“My name is Ekene Duru and I sell children. I steal children and deliver to people. I steal children of about 2 years old and sell them off to a woman who stays in Port Harcourt.

I steal the children from Umuochala, Ariaria junction in Aba, Abia state. ”

On how gets the children to follow him, Ekene said;

“I buy them biscuit or egg. After I steal them I will enter a motorcycle or tricycle. Nobody stops to ask me who owns the child and the child too will not cry when I carry them”.

Ekene said he has only stolen two children so far and has sold them both. He said he sold one of the stolen child for N200, 000 and another for N100, 000.

His accomplice, Chinonso Sylvanus, alleged that Ekene contracted him to steal children.

A Soldier who was Caught on Camera beating a lady and strips her naked due to Indecent dressing in Ogun state.

It was stated that The incident happened around 9:47 am at Oju-Ore in the Ota area of Ogun State on Saturday.

The lady, who was clad in a pair of shorts and white knitted coverup, was trekking on the road when she was stopped and beaten by the Soldier.

Eyewitnesses told The PUNCH that the soldier, who was riding in a commercial bus, alighted from the bus and pounced on the young lady, unprovoked.

According to the eyewitness who told the PUNCH news, They reported that the Soldier slapped the young lady repeatedly and when the shocked lady attempted to run away from the unprovoked assault, he pulled her back violently with her braided long hair.

The soldier was caught on video yanking off the young lady’s blouse and had also wanted to take off her bra when passersby intervened.

They begged him repeatedly before he let go of the lady.

He then joined the commercial bus he was riding in and the driver drove off.

Efforts to reach the spokesman for 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major Olaniyi Osoba, for comments proved abortive on Saturday as his line was switched off as of the time of filing this report.

Last month, soldiers deployed in the streets of Beere in Ibadan, Oyo State, to curb the #EndSARS protests were also caught on camera flogging a woman for what they termed ‘indecent dressing’.
