It is illegal to work in Dubai or the Emirates on a tourist visa, you can only search for job on it and return to your country while your potential employer process your work visa.

OK Mr seye, so what do you think i tell the VO i did for so long, i know is not idea to tell lie but what do you suggest in this case

thanks

You mean you travel to Dubai on a tourist visa and was able to work with that visa?

yes sir, it allowed in UAE to work on visit visa and if the company love your job skill and you also want to stay you, they process resident and working visa for you. that 2 years and it done like that in UAE for years

Seconded and I'm not sure they will noticed your long stay in UAE, if you have a good reason for staying in UAE for that long please say so.

wuki:

If you have a valid and candid explanation for your relatively long stay in UAE, you should have no problem. Yes, be sure to let the VO know you have a job in the UK and will be relocating there soon; you're visiting the U.S for vacation pending when you can move to the UK. Say it in a way that assures the VO you will need to return to Nigeria to make necessary arrangements for your relocation to the UK. I however wouldn't mention to VO that there's a possibility of not using the visa if it is granted.

@my oga Honorable seyewest and my oga Honorable Wuki.

i stayed long in UAE because i saw a job offer first week i got there by friend, and i was ask to work for some months to see how eligible and professional i'm for the job, just like a probation but with the way i saw things over there i just have to return home after spending 1 month and 1 week, that is nothing but the truth. and that was last year august. i have to come back home to my previous job, after i came back a friend in the US invited me and sent me an invitation letter since April but the appointment i got was august, during the wait time for interview i got reply from this UK navy commonwealth recruitment, im sure many heared about it, i applied and i was selected for the next stage which i was asked to send all my credentials and other police character and so on, i did and i later received my medical form which i did my medical and and sent to them, i received a email from them that my medical as been received and i will be contacted on when to come over to the Uk who knows how fast it may be, that why i cant make the trip to the US for now because i have to save for the moving process to the UK. although i have all documents from the navy with me and my career officer assigned to me by the UK Navy contact and address.

please my oga's in the house hope this will fly with my application. and help me in my interview.. this as been disturbing for me because i applied already before all this UK matter pure out.

thanks

Hi, kudos to everyone here. U guys are doing an amazing job!

Pls i have few questions to ask in respect of the b1/b2 form:

1. I just completed my NYSC October last year and I am yet to secure a job. In the form, what will I fill my occupation? Is there a NIL option?

2. About the current, and previous employment, will I have to write about my NYSC ppa and my internship during my course of study as that is the only employment history I have.

3. My mum will be sponsoring my trip and she has a business of her own. Is there a total balance she must have withinin the last six month?

4. What is the next available appointment date I can get?
This will help me fill the itenary/ travel plans option

PS: my uncle invited me for the fall season and I will stay with him throughout the visit.

Thanks in advance for ur prompt response

Madam or sir,

We are not VO but to me you are not qualified at this time because the embassy will think you are trying to run away because of the situation of the country,

You don't have any ties to your country and also no job history please I will advise you don't waist money please go for masters degree and apply for a student visa instead.

Or you wait till you are eligible.

Because, when presented with choices you and the corrupt politician do the exact same thing... say Fxxk you to everyone else and take care of only yourself. You will not flourish and I hope you and your family get deported.

Sometimes when I read on NL I feel so sad because many people talking and accusing this man are also planning or have tried the same way he did but they are not successful with that and later realized they did the wrong it.

People like them they carry another person matter for head.

To me is better you stay low key and read. Here than bringing your problem or ideas here they will never appreciate it, na people like them go come here make mouth, mean why they are doing the same thing at the back

@chip101 you deserve to be banned from NL with the way you coursed that man and wish him bad with is family. What your business with is life, if you cant help or give advice then you keep your mouth sealed. If you anyone wish your family bad would you be happy

This is the reason why we have a lot of refusal transcripts on this forum. Just try your luck. Haven’t you noticed that the people who got visas recently come with sound transcripts? Those who prepared and already know what and what they want out of the interview?
We will say let me try my luck and we come back shouting US doesn’t want us in their country again. Like that poster who is a lecturer, has a kid and yet his mum is sponsoring him for an academic conference. Even the VO shook. Anyone who is going to be applying using luck; better not to apply!

Good morning sir, or madam, did you read the guys request and what someone here told him.

The guy was asking what kind of visa would be fit for him to stay since he is going to be working with the lady. NGO

Someone here told him forget it and don't waist your money.

Please is that not a discouragement.

If he or does not know what to advise him off then he should not discourage him if he was in is shoe he would find a solution.

So my reply to that is not bad for me, asking him to tell the lady to make research and involve her lawyer or immigration lawyer to help them with the right visa and how to go about it.

Please point where I said try your luck or where I mean try your luck.

Please let us be guided when reading response and reply from others.

Thanks have a blessed weekend.

But mostly agent who does not have any travel experience are the ones people go to they go and patronize a guy who does not even have any office just because he told them he is a visa agent and do Dubai visa for some people. And US visa. Ask him to show is own passport he will never because he as not been there and does not know what they need.

Can agent cook such story for you sir and you take it. Now it as bring alot of implications to the owner who will suffer it the agent or the applicant.

Pls have been a silent reader for a while now,a friend has an issue.an agent advice his brother to use her as wife since they consider married than single for tourist visa after the whole process they are been rejected.lately the brother met a US citizen in lagos and they are planning to settle down soon.
The agent change both the sister's father and mother's name.the brother is currently in nigeria.if the girl file for the brother how is he going to help her sister since they no longer bearing the same surname?the issue now is his the brother going to go with divorce form ?if he fills the divorce how is he going to help her sister come around ? Somebody help

OMG I'm sorry to say ooo, at time when I read some write up here I feel like seeing the person and flog them.

I have a cousin with similar problem is own is even bad. He never informed anyone before doing it, an agent advise him to do is passport with another man's surname because the man is older than him and he can attach him to the man so they can apply as father and son. To God be the glory they didn't give them visa now. He can't change the name on the passport.

Why would allow an agent to convince you to do such and he limited is chance of going to the US because right now he can't do it alone without going to the same agent again.

Good luck after several warning

Good morning, I went for interview on Monday and my visa got denied
Me: Good morning
Vo: No reply
Vo: your passport pls
Me: here is it
Vo: why are you going to US
Me: for conference on applied physics and mathematics
Vo: how many days is your conference
Me: 2days
Vo: where are you going in US
Me : I told him
Vo:i can I see your invitation letter with any other documents with you
Me: yes.. I gave him the invitation letter with my appointment letter and the recommendation letter from my school
Vo : who is paying for your trip
Me: my mum
Vo: your mum not the school or the organization
Me: yes my mom is going to pay for my trip
Vo: av u traveled out of the country for any conference
Me: no
Vo: are you married
Me: yes and am blessed with a son
Vo : Have you traveled out of this country before
Me: no
Vo: sorry you are not eligible and he returned my passport

Please what do you think I did wrong is it because I have not traveled out before or my mum is paying for my trip or because am young... Am 27yrs old.. I don't understand. Am a lecturer earning good salary. What should I do if I want to apply for another interview if I want to go for another conference

From my view a lot of red flag.

1. You are married with a son. And your mom want to sponsor your trip. Bro no is out of it. Does mom feed your family also.

2. The traveling history is not the major reason.

3. School or organizations send there staffs to conferences and not by yourself when is not that you are going for a master degree

Bro from my view this visa application was done by an agent if am not making mistake.
Look at all this and tell me you did it all yourself.

When did you start your job as a lecturer, if not 2 years or also with your age. The highest you can finish schooling is 24/25 including service year.

Why is it that you are the who want to go for the conference and not your senior colleague at work. You haven't gotten any experience in lecturing if I may say to qualify for any conference yet.

In Visa rules there is a certain age. Where your parents can pay for you trip if it is not academically .

Tell your agent well-done he knows how to cook story.

From my view not judging.

This has actually been going on for a while now. When I attended my 221g interview earlier this year, I was asked questions from the very first Visa I got. I was even single then. This lady pulled up my transcript.

If you have no business in the US other than to go for vacation, pls kindly look for another country to do the vacation. There are so many beautiful western countries where you can enjoy your vacation. Lets give US a rest toll maybe next year after the elections. And that is if trump doesn't win. If he does, it's going to get tough.
I heard one of the reasons they stopped dropbox was because some Nigerians on b category Visa started living in us permanently. When it's time to renew their Visa, they will fill the application online and send their passport down to Nigeria from the US. Get the Visa renewed and DHL the passport back to them without leaving the us

With due respect I disagree with this, everyone going into the US with visa are stamped in and out, so how come u can renew.

You landed in US and was stamped in for 6 month, you didn't leave so how do you get stamped out,. On renewal if your visa if the exit stamp is not seen and also shows on the system do you think you visa will be renewed.

#copied #copied...........................pls is this true

VISA GUIDE FOR SELF EMPLOYED INDIVIDUALS.
After your Nigerian boss "show you pepper" you finally decided that the fastest way to get taty billion in your account is to become an entrepreneur. Welcome to the club where your visa struggle is special.
_________________________
As a self employed individual it's usually harder to prove to the consular that you have a genuine source of income and you don't plan to run away. And since you can't just get a letter from your employer you have to take some steps to make your self "visa worthy" (while these steps do no guarantee that you will get a visa it might help make your case better and a little bit harder for the consular to say no. I'm sure some business people didn't do this and they got their visas, but with the hurdles we have to face to get visas as Nigerian passport holders it doesn't hurt if you make sure your application is the best it can be.
1. Register your company.
2. Get a company account.
3. Make sure money from your business goes into your company account.
4. Get a salary account and pay yourself a salary monthly. Get a second account for savings.
5. Prepare a salary certificate for yourself monthly properly typed and stamped.
6. Get a tax clearance certificate. (FIRS have an office in Yaba and Ikorodu if you live in Lagos)
7. Get your personal tax clearance. (Not usually necessary but it doesn't hurt to have it)
8. Write a visa cover letter explaining the purpose of your trip, how you will fund your trip, details of your itinerary, explain details of your supporting documents, and your intent to return back to your country and all the "beautiful things" waiting for you when you return. It also doesn't hurt to explain in details how your business will operate while you are on vacation.
9. Ha! Yes, do not forget the most essential of all fasting and prayer.

Bros I'm having this same issues now I want to travel to the US but the agent is saying I would be going in as someone who is going to purchase goods from a company and I'm not comfortable with it.

Bro firstly are you a new member on this thread?

it as been said on several occasions that don't patronize agents. There is this proverb that says anyone that wants to dress you up, you should always look at is own neck and see if he dressed well also. Most of all this agent as not traveled to just Dubia not to talk of UK or US.

Secondly you want to travel and become an illegal immigrants which is bad.

Thirdly I know you have paid the agent already and you will surely use him, if am not making a mistake you would have given him almost 100k or so for a start. So please go ahead with him.

But please answer this?

would the agent give you the login detail to your application portal?

If not have it in mind that if your application is not successful you still have to keep on using the same agent and the same lies until you get your visa. That is if he didn't say you are the owner of the company. If he said you are just a staff in a company is still better because a worker can become a business owner within years. Your story can still change.

So seat down and have a drink and think deeply about all this and pick the best option for yourself.

My opinion.

You tried bro, take heart, I think 3 things are wrong, firstly you said you spent 3 month, secondly another 1 month, thirdly your brother got married to a US citizen, which means your brother enter with B1/B2. Kudos to you bro, you said it all and hit the points. The truth is bitter they would never agree with you.
Chukwuka16:
Permit me house to add to the growing debate surrounding this US visa issue.

The fact is that we Nigerians do not like people telling us the truth. Sincerely, I also battle at times with the truth. However, the truth is that Nigerians are abusers of systems. Everywhere you interact with some Nigerians in the “abroad”, you find out that they have thrived on abuse of the system – cutting corners, gaming the system, employing theatrics etc. The situation is even compounded in religious centres! However, we are mostly very short-sighted people who assume that the white-man is a fool. Unbeknown to us, these guys have a system in place that works best with information. During such lengthy periods when we embarrass ourselves and abuse the system, these guys are gathering sufficient data about us, our personality and modus operandi to enable them evolve a robust approach that can keep us firmly in check. This data is also useful in assisting them draft related policies on funding/assistance/aids, conflict resolution and rules of engagement.

Why should Nigerians come on visits in the abroad and end up as overstayers or even work or enjoy some form of benefits? There is no excuse (except health and threat to life) that should warrant that. It cost taxpayers money to maintain these facilities. It is Nigerians that will come to the abroad enter trains without paying and be moving from coach to coach to avoid the ticket master. It is Nigerians that will come to the abroad to give birth without planning adequately for the trip? What is my business that you are coming to the abroad, did I invite you? Go and rent a hotel and pay your bills? We carry our planless nature to the abroad and hope to inconvenience others simply because we are “Nigerians”? If I didn’t plan, I would be sleeping out on the streets.

Of course, people will come out and start screaming “is it not because you are there?” And so what? Did I spiral myself here?

Again, I still wonder what goes on in the minds of people when they apply for visas. How can you be earning 200k-500K/month and apply for a US visa to spend 2 weeks for vacation in New York for instance and you are self-sponsored in 2019!? Haba, fear God na. Let me break it down for you.

Visa fee: 58K
Flight (return): 400k
Accommodation (10 nights): 600k + 180k-200k (refundable caution deposit)
Feeding: 180k ($50/day) – could be more
Internal transport: 18k (assume bus all through) – could be more
Exchange conversion fees (from card swipes if you don’t have a US bank card): 4k
Total: 1,440,000 (with 180k refunded on check out). Conservatively estimated.

This means that you want to spend 3-7 months’ salary for just 2 weeks’ vacation and expect the VO to be convinced? What about your rent, feeding, mobility, clothing, health insurance, car and vehicle insurance and leisure when you return to Nigeria?

See, in times past (before, before), it wouldn’t mean anything saving up for that, but hey times have changed. If that money isn’t a fraction of your month’s salary or 2 months, the VO will need a lot of reassurances or evidence of strong ties in Nigeria before granting that visa (especially when self-funded).

Again, those methods of using conferences/workshops to travel to the USA don cast. In fact, recently our lab was advised to send its delegates to the London version of a workshop rather than wasting resources travelling to the US. I couldn’t laugh. The organisers didn’t want to offer academic rebate. This was a legitimate workshop integral to a current project and timeous considering our timetable. However, a couple of the delegates were Nigerians and so the usual.

See, time for travel will come. It may take time, but if we continue with our current attitude, things go spoil so tey e go hard to repair. The hustle is real, I know, but we are the very cause of the current problems. If we are not careful, our case go be like China where their citizens are always put on administrative processing that can take as long as 60 days! My Chinese colleagues at work are not finding this funny.

When next people come online and talk about how they gamed the system in the abroad and you support them or rationalise their actions, just remember that the consequences are simply front-loaded and will be dire. Next time call them out. Embarrass them, shame them. You don’t have to report them but let them know that they are a SHAME and avoid them. If we don’t start calling out these disgraceful humans spoiling our reputation in the abroad, they will continue to make travel possibilities difficult for you and I.
