2020 NSCDC Recruitment (Second Phase): How to Update NSCDC Profile

2019 / 2020 NSCDC Recruitment (Second Phase) - The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has commenced the updating of profile for all applicants, having filtered out many applicants for under-height and overage. We (HNJ) have noticed that many candidates are having difficulties login into the NSCDC Recruitment portal to complete their details.

What is NSCDC Application Number
The NSCDC Application Number gives candidates access to successful login and update their profile and also check if they have shortlisted.
Please note: The reference number on the acknowledgement slip you printed after successful submission of your application during the last recruitment exercise held in August 2019 is the same as your APPLICATION NUMBER. Example of what the Application Number should look like: NSCDC-2019-Unique Number, e.g NSCDC-2019-2000589.
Steps on How to Successfully Update Your NSCDC Profile
Step 1 - Log onto the NSCDC Recruitment Portal: www.cdfipb.careers
Step 2 - Enter your Email address in the first column, and your Unique application number / reference number in the second column.
Step 3 - Proceed to Sign in and you will be able to view your profile.
After a successful login, you will be able to see the relevant information that needs to be updated such as:
NYSC discharge certificate number and year acquired
O'level and year acquired
And other relevant informations needed.
Note: Failure to complete these updates, will lead to automatic disqualification. All applicants who have their correct details but can't log in due to the Error Message on the Portal are to exercise patience as this is currently been worked upon by the Agency. The NSCDC portal will close on the 19th of March, 2020.

To all the fresh graduates and fresh corpers from nysc camp, job recruitments, d first thing u will learn is the power of rejection letters(love letters) that will mould ur minds into becoming experienced lazy Nigerian youth, from that point on u will understand what old timers have been saying. To julearth, u even d try explain, how kind of u, I wish u allow recruitment process humble dem a bit, after all its a rite of passage. To all the old timers dat knows about recruitments like customs, immigration, police, DPR, NNPC, Frsc, prison, fire service, federal ministries recruitment and armed forces, they don't ask for past questions or drop emails anyhow, the system has tots us wat lecturers didn't lecture us in college. Let's allow Inec aka almighty formula to sort the old timers from the new arrival. I am still laffing from that of civil defense forum, come jam civil defense telling police I be paramilitary kind of comments.@Julearth do u remember someone once argued about nysc certificate number and nysc call up number, now civil defense said they should update their credentials number and I keep wondering what number the person will put in the box provided on NSCDC portal. Pardon my digression, the point is fresh graduates, if u know, u know. Dat was d advice give to me from NDA screening once upon a time

Lemme give u an example with armed forces recruitment, wen navy say 2*1 or upper class (3:50) and u have 3:49(2*2 or lower class based on my university) u would think the navy will compromise and pick u? Brotherly government recruitments are looking for the smallest reason to screen people out because thousands more over qualified people also applied. why give such information about nysc number dat can get people disqualified. And yes most online mass recruitments, the first screening are usually done by computer randomly or u think it's people that select from thousands of applications Also, based on experience someone was screen out of an interview just because the officer felt the guy is a cultists and it turns out d applicant's dad is a 2 star General and half breed(oyibo mix with naija) lol... Anyways it all comes down to instructions

So at sweetjohn, if inec said nysc number and gave us an example by using letter 'A' in d box wen u are filling the biodata page to give u a hint, what will be ur logically reasoning? To write the nysc number dat starts with A or the nysc number near ur names with NYSC/...?

Bonjour everyone and sorry to bring dis up again, am sure by now most of us have done d needful (applied). To TMG2015 its nice to have a good healthy debate which is why am coming back to u again. Since you are of the skool of tot dat applicants can use nysc call up number or letter in place of nysc certificate number or in ur words they mean the same thing during recruitment process, I want to ask u, one thing I have learnt over time during my unemployment experience is following instructions and don't assume u know. Why do you think hiring organizations especially HR personnel always ask for ur credentials, nysc certificate or exemption certification and not ur nysc call up number or letter?(trust me they know both means ur identity in nysc database) Now let's come to naija government recruitments, who are always looking for a way to screen out thousands of applications based on wrong information, most government recruitment screening process begins with the random computer selection which is done through a pre-determined computer instructions or an algorithm that select candidates they are looking for, case examples are NDLEA and customs, when thousands applied, their spokesmen said at the time that people with mass com applied for account officer, engineers applied for lab science, ages, height, weights etc, were used to screen people out, now let's come to NNPC, they spend good money on their IT. departments, wen NNPC start recruiting most serving corpers applied using their call up number in place of nysc certificate number, most didn't make it to Cbt or interview stage because the computer has been program wit an algorithm to screen out such candidates without nysc certificate number. Mind u they government knows that it's ur unique ID during ur mandatory service and it means the same thing in terms of information concerning ur service but they ask for nysc certificate number, hence listening to instruction. Now let's come to almighty formula aka inec dat screened out imo and bayelsa state governors based on wrong documentation, they are now asking applicants to submit nysc certificate number and even put an example 'A' in the box so that u will have a clue as to what they want, yet u still insist it means nysc call up number or letter or they mean the same thing, most applicants fail because they don't follow instructions, another example, DPR said applicants should write their surname first when writing their names on the form provided, trust naija all names na names, the computer has been programed to send mail invitations alphabetically to names (surnames) selected. So my questions is that are u still of the opinion that nysc certificate number is the same as nysc call up number or letter in terms of job requirements or recruitment after pointing out the obvious And one thing u should know is that when hiring organizations(BAT, Banks) or government recruitment(army, navy, paramilitary) ask for specific information like nysc discharge numbers(do u think nysc discharge number is the same as call up number) during mass recruitment, and thousands will apply, computer algorithm are used to screen out little mistakes like the one I just mentioned above, before man know man stage begins. Ur words will mean a lot as information is power because am still trying to understand why u keep insisting it the same in terms of recruitment but u don't get to use it after service??.?

@tmg2015 I just got dis from nysc portal for does that did not have to serve or get call up number, but exemption cert.

Graduates who have served in the Armed forces (i.e Army, Navy, and Air Force) or the Nigeria Police for a period of more than 9 months are exempted from the National Service. Graduate member staff of security of Security agencies - NSO, SSS, DIA and NIA is also exempted from National service. Each graduate in these categories must upload photocopy of ID card of their establishment and letter from such military / security establishment confirming that he / she is / was their personnel. Members of the armed forces desirous for concessional deployment and have served less than Nine months in service are expected to upload letter of introduction from the command.



what number would you suggest they write for this inec recruitment if they want to apply? Nysc call up number or nysc cert number??Pls endeavor to answer

Oga TMG2015, both of them are not the same AFTER ur nysc, key word After. Someone just told u, people that are exempted don't have call up letters but nysc number is being used, u re still insisting u re right,, julearth just did, jamb number & matric number examples, u are still insisting. And u want to be inec officer wit dis can mind sight... Inconclusive results will be the least of voters worry if u are in charger of collation. If u are finding it hard to accept this fact,, if u are not clear let me call on the NNPC, airforce and Navy dssc people in the house, pls enlightening our new fresh graduates that know book pass us lazy Nigerian youth... @Fabem and Dtob help clear TMG2015 doubt pls....

To the dudes saying nysc call up number is the same as nysc certificate number, I hope one day you will apply for army navy or airforce dssc or ssc or police, customs, immigration, DPR, NNPC or frsc and u will know the true meaning of nysc number. Why every one on the forum is gentle with u guys is because u are fresh from school with no experience in been a lazy unemployed Nigerian youth. In fact, let me give u an example, when a company calls u for interview and they ask u to bring ur credentials, why didn't u include ur nysc call up letter but u will go with ur nysc certificate?

It's only in Naija dat order from above will have attestation of ssce, went on to be a general, went on to be a head of state and still carried his ssce to be presido for naija (i didn't call name o, dss
& intelligence unit, dis is just a tot and freedom of speech as enshrined in d constitution) but bsc, hnd and msc applicants are been ask to show certification from professional bodies before one can be offered a job, a way of life or call to duty...my question now is, do Oga at d top have any certification from a professional body Why not allow applicants get shortlisted first and ask them to go for certification or professional courses after employment or appointment so that dey will have source of funding to cover such costs....
