I was doubtful at first of this project, as I thought it would be riddled with chaos (as it still sometimes is), but for the most part, this has been a well thought out and smoothly executed project. Being a critic, in line with my civic duty however, I must say that more still needs to be done if we indeed are intending on heading towards first world status (at least in the little things, like roads). I'd like to see clear lane markings all through out that road and quite frankly, throughout all roads. With this, we would be able to have STANDARDIZATION, in the sense that our road rules would make a whole lot more sense, if we all knew for instance that, white lane markings can be crossed over, but not yellow lane markings and so on. It would also greatly improve safety on the roads as road users would clearly be able to see were their cars are in relation to their lanes. Far too often, you'd find that lane markings become faded and are abandoned, even on important roads such as Lekki Epe that is even tolled. This should not be the case as either the markings should be done with quality materials in the first place, or be placed on a revolving contract to be touched up every so often. I'd also like to see better enforcement, especially lane enforcement, were motorists are pulled over for not driving within a lane for a prolonged period of time, thereby causing an obstruction and this could also be indicative of drunk and/or reckless driving. I do understand however that this falls out of the "jurisdiction" of the Lagos government, as enforcement lies squarely on the shoulders of the Federal Government; an aberration that still persists. All in all, good job to Ambode! Please do not relent now or in the future. 5 Likes 1 Share

I was initially quite critical of the remodeling development going on along the Lekki Expressway, but after having passed through that route a couple of times recently, I must say that I see come improvement in the flow of traffic. However, the area is still quite rough, as is to be expected since the construction is still undergoing. I wish the government would pay serious attention to the fading lane markings on some parts of that stretch, from the toll gate in VI all the way to AJAH. For instance, once u just pass the toll gate in VI, heading towards Ajah, you will notice how clear all the lane markings are. That way you can horn at motorists that are crossing into your lane since you can clearly see where the vehicle is in relation to the lane markings. However, as you go further and further down, pass Oando, some markings totally disappear and motorist start to sway a bit; obviously this is disregarding the undisciplined drivers who sway regardless of whether there are lane markings or not. Still waiting to see what the finished product looks like. I must also commend them for the quick pace of execution, at least for Nigerian standards. Please do not relent in completing that mini project. Don't just say "abeg, we've tried", no!!!!! Please you guys should execute it down to the last curb stone. Good job to the Lagos goverment. |

I'm sorry, but I just don't think this will work out too well. I passed there today and my fears are already coming to fruition; no lane discipline whatsoever ![]() People on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd lane all wanted to turn left at the same time, blocking those who simply wanted to keep going straight. Maybe in time, people would understand the new route, but not that hopeful. Honestly, there was really not much with that roundabout at Jakande, but driver illiteracy and traders. If the government was serious, the would have cleared all the traders and parked cars from that Jakande rounabout. Usually, people would take the outermost lane (3rd lane) as a parking a trading spot. You'd see multiple danfos parked there, you'd see traders items spilling to the road and so on. I just kept asking myself, isn't this part of the road ![]() ![]() The illiteracy was just annoying, cause people hardly ever kept to their lanes at the roundabout. They'd be on the middle lane approaching the roundabout, then swerve all the way to the left lane at the roundabout, then swerve back to the middle lane once the road goes straight again. Anywho, guess we'll have to wait and see. 1 Like |

AZeD1: Look, you can always make yourself useful, especially when you have so much clout as the freaking "MINISTER OF POWER". It's simple, if he as useless as you say he is and he possesses even an ounce of integrity, then he should step down and save the nation some much needed income. Else, he should get to work, even if it is just as a lobbyist with that clout, he would get so much done. My Dad was once in those circles and he was an excellent lobbyist to the point that he would get backlogs of issues that needed authorization from a different "department", sorted just by lobbying those with the direct authorization needed to solve his "departments" problems. He didn't just sit down, fold his arms and say there was nothing he could do. 2 Likes |

Whatever you do, do not call her for a while, pleeeeease. Even if you think she's the love of your life, please don't pester her at all for at least a month. If you find yourself wanting to call her, have a friend of urs slap you really hard, to revert u back to ur senses. ....and please, please, please, do not call her with another line only for her to ask who it is and you now say "oh, it's me" ![]() don't do it man!! ![]() 4 Likes |

AZeD1: Regulation and problem solving, not siting down in the office doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, because his post requires ZERO amount of work according to you. He might as well not even go the office na, abi ![]() Regulate, revoke licenses, lobby for reformation laws in the power sector. Don't just sit there doing NOTHING, sigh ![]() |

ayobase: Then they will tell you Power ministry is ceremonial, smh Shouldn't it be Fashola championing this law, lobbying law makers on strict laws (like 30 years imprisonment) for stealing even 1kw of energy ![]() So why is Fashola there in the first place ![]() |

AZeD1: Ministry of Power is ceremonial ![]() Chai ![]() |

rhames: just imagine such reasoning ![]() |

Look at all these dudes saying "Fashola can't be blamed, he has no power", then why, why oh why is he there in the first place ![]() Do these sycophants ever ask themselves that question ![]() Sigh. I guess it would have been better for a monkey to be minister of power na, since according to them, he has no power to do anything ![]() |
