You are joelbooks, but I don't think you are educated. I had to insult you because rather than ask a question, you resulted into disgracing yourself and your people.

joelbooks:
If I may ask, is Nigeria currency Dollar?

When there is so much noise on someone else's currency? All of a sudden the whole of Nigeria need dollar.

You are saying a 300% increase in 8 years of buhari and 100% increase in just 9months of tinubu is a genuine effort? You need to calm down and understand what delusional means.
ElSudani:

Exactly why I said Obidients are delusional. Exchange rates alone does not determine if the economy is good or bad. There are challenges with the economy of course long before Tinubu became president and we have seen genuine efforts by his administration to set things on the right path. Though I don't expect you to agree with me on this.
It is far easier and convenient to criticize than to proffer solutions.
If ask you now what you or Obi could have done differently you will certainly go blank.
Politics / Re: How CBN Can Crash Dollar by Error401: 9:00pm On Jan 30
Aboki Fx was banned for more than a year, and the naira kept going down. The problem is not the currency speculators but the poor economy
2mch:

No serious country in this world allows currency speculators. All of them are still thriving in Nigeria. That is a problem. A very big one. Nigeria problem is multifaceted but this is one of them. By the way, exports will only increase if they ban a lot of imports. For an import dependent country will you be able to survive such a ban You people will be online crying of hunger. Such decisions require a lot of hardship especially if people have been importing for years.

What happened to AbokiFx?
You are putting a square peg in a round hole. The only thing that can sustain the economy is forex. Give more jobs, more exports and more USD inflows. Banks should be flooded with USD. That's the only way to sustain the economy and not ban Currency speculators.

2mch:
They need to pass a law making BDC’s and other currency speculators illegal. Only banks at official rate can and should issue exchange. Otherwise they are just t playing here. Also, platforms that have made money through such sabotage should be raided and their money confiscated for sabotage. You can’t try this in any first world country, speculate against their currency and go free. They will cripple you to the 10th generation and you will spend a long time in prison.

This is a short term solution, they have done this twice in 4 months.
They Pump and dump

abhosts:
I went to a BDC to buy dollar today and observed the BDC staff were monitoring the rates on Binance P2P website. The rate they sold me dollars was within a 2 Naira margin of the going rate on Binance P2P. I later went on Binace P2P and noticed that liquidity was very low on the platform. The Naira could lose N100 to USDT but trading volume within that period could be as low as $50,000. If Binance P2P is the de-facto indicator of dollar rate in the parallel market, I thing it is time for the CBN to intervene there.

If the CBN can float 5 merchant accounts on Binance P2P and provide them liquidity of $5m weekly, the price of USDT would easily crash to about N1,200(or lower) and stay there in the short term.

Well you are more delusional. You can prove my points wrong rather than calling people who foresaw the dollar at 1500 -2000 delusional

ElSudani:

I don't care about who or what you are, all Obidients are delusional.
Politics / Re: Crowd Hails Peter Obi As He Visits Jos, Plateau State Unannounced by Error401: 8:34pm On Jan 30
No body said baboon and dog will be soaked in blood. He went to court and lost and life goes on. Getting him in trouble/ victimization or threats to life will lead to that Nigeria disintegration faster than usual. And before you cry foul that I am Igbo, I am a fully bred Yoruba and unlike other Ronu people, I have a functioning brain.
ElSudani:

You are right. We still waiting for the disintegration promised if he didn't win the last one.
Politics / Re: Crowd Hails Peter Obi As He Visits Jos, Plateau State Unannounced by Error401: 8:00pm On Jan 30
That will be a direct call for anarchy. I think the Nigeria they so much cherish will disintegrate faster than usual

Can i get a thread of this 2 bed bungalow? This is not on your profile

Charisdesigns:
The Answer you seek lies in two places
1) the floor plan
2)the nature of your land (sloppy or flat)

However for a basic 2bedrooms bungalow to finish, keep atleast 4m.

Attach is a 2 bedrooms designed by us with flat roof and construction cost is way above the 2m threshold

Pics 1 design
Pics 2 build

It will also interest you to see how the nature of you land affects construction cost. check out our live construction thread of bungalow flats on a very sloppy land.

He is a bloody hypocrite trying to milk other people's tragedy for political mileage. Why wasn't he doing it before? By the way, why did he stop going to churches and church events?

Politics / Re: Buhari Foresaw What Would Happen To The Naira And The Economy If He Devalued by Error401: 2:15pm On Jan 30
It does, regardless, you still have more purchasing power for non perishable good. A land which sell for 500k when dollar is about 600 will sell for maybe 600-700k now. If you have 1000USDT as at then, you can only buy a plot, now, you should be able to buy 2 plots of thesame land with thesame 1000USDT all things being equal. Not all items inflates with USD

Tallesty1:
Lols.

If you sell your dollar at 1300 or 600 makes not much difference.

A bag of rice when we were selling at 600 was around 20k, now we are selling at 1300 and a bag of rice is 55k..

You will have more naira with lower purchasing power if you sell at 1300.
You will have fewer naira with higher purchasing power if you sell at 600
Politics / Re: Buhari Foresaw What Would Happen To The Naira And The Economy If He Devalued by Error401: 2:10pm On Jan 30
I dont know if the figure is right or wrong. but dollar was only about 216 in GEJ and ended at 700 with Buhari, its now 1462 on Binance at the moment, almost 1500. Whatever he wrote may not be accurate but absolutely true.

Check your figures and come back with the right ones.

What happened before October 7th? Killing over 8000 children is part of the consequences? How many children died on October 7th? indiscriminate shelling of residential areas at the guise of human shield is not genocide? If that's not genocide, I dont know what is

Foreign Affairs / Re: UK Suspends Kate Osamor, For Calling Israel’s Actions ‘Genocide’ by Error401: 12:22pm On Jan 30
October 7th isnt a genocide. Whatever happened before October 7th is the real genocide. You kill people daily and cry foul because they responded back only on October 7th.
You have a brain, internet and a mobile phone, read before october 7th and use your brain to decide if you have one. Well yall a flock of sheep, I dont think there is any brain left in there aside followership.

Phones / Re: Why Spend Extra For A Gaming Phone When You Can get a Normal Phone + a Used PS4? by Error401: 9:24pm On Jan 29
Depends on preference, You can not use a gaming console in a 20 hours trip. A good gaming phone and Power bank should do.
Gaming phone are not that expensive. Samsung Note 9 played all the high end games Ive seen effortlessly. GOW, COD, Mortal Combalt, GTA, FIFA, and Asphalt 9.

Benjaminy:
I see people complain much about the gaming capabilities of a phone, even prioritising that aspect, in their decision towards getting a new phone. Infact, many spend thousands of extra Naira, to get a higher phone with a supposedly powerful processor that's suitable for gaming.

Then I keep on thinking. No Game on a mobile phone is actually worth it, compared to consoles. So, why don't people get a phone with processor which can help them do the basic things needed in a phone, then spend the extra cash on a used PS4 for a far more quality gaming experience?

I dont think note 9 have a plus

S10?

What of S10 plus or note 9plus?. If I can get these for that 170k, I wouldn't mind to stretch my budget a little..
Phones / Re: Which Samsung Phone Can I Buy For My Wife Between The Budget Of N100k-N150k by Error401: 5:12pm On Jan 29
I think samsung galaxy note 9
would have recommended a Note 10 plus but its way above your budget. Dont worry about the phone age, its a flagship device and its better than most samsung "A Series"
I currently have one that I have used beyond recognition, I was only forced to replace it with an S22 ultra becos the power button got lost. I will recommend a Note 9 above any Samsung A series. Avoid Redmi Phones by the way.

wunmi590:
Good day phone lovers.

Please what samsung phone can I buy for my wife as the price suggest..

I currently use Samsung A14, but I will like to get something either higher or different from mine for her.

I wouldn't mind a UK used asmsung phone, as long as it won't give her issue, if not I will get her a new phone..
