Religion / Re: Which Gospel Music Moves You So Much? by Esthefaith(f): 11:26am On Dec 04, 2016
VOJA:
Nathaniel Bassey Ft. Glorious Fountain Choir - Onise Iyanu,

Frank Edwards Ft. Sinach - Idi Ebube,

Sinach - Way Maker, and

Michael W. Smith - Christ Be All Around Me.

I must confess, these above-mentioned songs are really inspiring and soul lifting. The strings and the voices are mind-blowing.

Download, listen, and be blessed.
my best songs

Literature / The Wilted Flower by Esthefaith(f): 9:01am On Sep 19, 2016
A glowing young bloom Elegantly blossoming Amidst thorny twigs To the envy of many Reaching to have a taste Of the sweet nectar  Embedded within
Endless waiting Persistent doggedness Resistant prick by thorn Exaggerated flatteries Extravagant care Extended curtsey All in a bid To pluck the fragile flower For a domestic garden
Amidst smiles and admiration The young bloom is taken To beautify a foreign soil And cross pollinate For the life cycle to continue
Forgotten is the great care With which it was plucked Neglected was the fertile soil From which it was nourished Aside lays the incessant admiration In which it thrived The radiant beauty emerge weary Drained by daunting demand
Brightly coloured petals turn flaccid  Liked an aged breast Plump and shapely stem Deformed by malnourished soil And withering atmosphere The wilting beauty trampled as manure To raise up young blooms And then cast aside
The drums of joy sounded Fades into a distant whisper Mocking the faded beauty  Of a once alluring appearance No water can assuage  The scorch of a scorned woman Tis like a raging inferno Devouring nations

Literature / Celebrating An Important Part Of The Society by Esthefaith(f): 1:07pm On Apr 19, 2016
its my birthday and am celebrating those who need love more than I do with this poem

Just a Little Smile

The trampled lot
disdained by progenitor
labelled as a waste of semen
dropped in a basket by the roadside
abandoned at a Riverside
left inhumanly to their fate;
the bundles of innocence
with flailing arms
crying out for love
struggling to be heard
in a city of chaos
swallowed by the noise of the market
children of determination
their destinies won't be denied
by the confused citizens
our heroes of tomorrow
passing through furnace
to come forth as gold
with a little smile
from a sincere heart
they shall reign

the trampled lot
relegated to the backseat
caged by immobility
ignored in the society
limping towards a fudgy future
worries of getting-by
encumbers their heart
carving their troubled soul
into jumbled bits
caged might be their movement
but unlimited is their potential
with just a little smile
to brighten their hazy day
from a sincere heart ,
centuries of scorn
fades away
To awaken in them
princes and princesses.

I love Hausa culture very much...their ladies are always modestly covered-up . virtue which seems to be missing from this generation
Literature / In Loving Memory Of My Father Who Left This World Five Years Ago... by Esthefaith(f): 2:44pm On Mar 31, 2016
Tales of Five Years

Like a branded jungle cat
Struggling for its emancipation
Am reminded of this pain
Born of Five years
Striving to break forth
From its imposed exile
While I travel back in time
Numb and lifeless lay the body
On the platform
Which gives rest to weary soul
The calm beautiful morning
Gives not an insight
To the mournful day
Sunshine goes about its business
Not a thing amiss
But for the thief of time
Creeping stealthily behind unforeseen shadows into the unsuspicious abode
And as a hungry panther
Pouncing on its prey
Carting away with the head
Without a care for its consequences
Trailing behind is broken souls and piercing screams on a deserted island
Man is cursed by this unavoidable fate
Only time and season unknown
Keeps the soul alive with hope
All taught and learnt
In the tales of Five years

Funeral drums sounding heavily and drawing near
Yet I stood aloof
Observing the procession
I heard her cry seasoned
With pain and grief
Giving off a sorrowful aroma
My mother
Her tears mingles with mine
But not a comforting word to utter
Mother earth opens wide her mouth
To receive her unannounced visitor
A final resting place
Quietly retreating back home
All mourners evaporate like the sun shine on the morning dew
We five gather around looking into each others eye
But none really seeing the other
Lost in the mist of tears
Caged in the memories of pain
Man is like water poured out onto the ground
All learnt and taught
In the tales of Five years

Heavily I sat, eyes roaming
For a comforting shoulder
But none found
And I was reminded
"You have your life to live"
He always reiterated
Picking up the pieces
I forged ahead with a new tool
Carving for myself a new path
Filled with opportunities
The Housefly does not blame the Creator for making it so small
What reason have I?
Life's full of pricks of pain
Embedded in colourful petals
The eyes carried away by its exceptional beauty craves to be felt by the hand subjecting the body to pain
All things beautiful are not all what it seems
All taught and learnt in the tales of Five years
