Toyota Products are relatively costly here although sometimes we get good deals too. A toyota corolla 2011 from here will cost 4.5mil naira plus clearing at the Lagos port.

I think it's okay to protest. Think about it: what were the stated requirements for the job? How many applicants qualified?
Usually, organizations have too many qualified people for a job and that informs the use of stages etc. Here you have several qualified people, some selected for interviews, no examination.. common, I know it's not really a good job, but for God's sake, let every qualified person have a chance to compete.

May I also say that this protest will forestall future occurrenceor at least reduce it significantly. If you applied for any other FG or SG jobs, make sure you take part in the protest now.

I have a question but, let me contribute my quota: a friend, who now lives in Canada, advised me against staying back here in Nigeria after getting an above average knowledge of my financial standing and potentials. In my opinion, people are people irrespective of their race, ethnic or, sometimes, religious inclinations. When people come up to speak ill of any tribe, I wonder. Usually, people that help us in our life journeys aren't from our families or ethnic groups. I am from the middle-belt, the Yoruba speaking part. My best friend in primary school was from Anambra, Nnewi to be precise. He was more than a brother to me. We lost touch when we graduated Primary school. Getting to High school, my best friends were Igbos.. infact, my best friend, who is also my best man, is from Delta state, Oshimili... People rarely talk about job offers because, getting job from outside Canada, with their LMIA scheme, is like taking a camel through the hole of a needle. Jobs may be arranged for you over there, but it won't fetch you any extra points except it is backed by the LMIA report. But again, there is nothing God cannot do. It's possible but difficult.

Unfortunately, Business/Finance is where your qualifications fall into where only Procurement manager is skill in shortage.
If you were working with smaller companies, chances are you will be doing more than one thing.

Okay, here are my suggestions:
1. You can research more into the cost implications (in Naira and time) should your wife stand in as PA and if both of you are ready.
2. Over time, I have seen a lot of interdependencies in business processes. As a Credit Analyst, do you think you can function well, if you were to be moved to Procurement? I believe YES. If so, you can still be the PA...

My wife and i took the IELTS test. My wife did well in the test and she would be the principal applicant as her qualification (medicine) is in the Long Term Skill Shortage List.

We have both gotten our Pre-assessment done, so we are about filling the form for the expression of interest.

Here is my questions sirs,

1. we discovered that on the Long Term Skill Shortage List, http://skillshortages.immigration.govt.nz/assets/uploads/long-term-skill-shortage-list-2015-03-30-.pdf , the requirements shows that she must be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand before some points can be claimed. Pls how feasible is that as that would mean she would have to undertake some exams in various levels.

2. Is der any one in the house or that anyone knows who peradventure was selected from the pool with points between 100-135 as it seems as if we are going to fall in that category.Just want to be sure before gambling with $530 dollars or so.

Good one Yinkzy. Can you state your IELTS score, your qualification, skill and years of practice?

I asked the questions because of the following:
1. IELTS isn't given much premium here relative to CA, UK and AUS immigration. An average score of 6.5 is all you need in either the Academic or GT module. So, a higher score here might not do much, except your score is less than the stipulated.

2) Often times, our job descriptions emphasize certain parts of our roles than the others. Usually, the deemphasized roles are those in Short supply. So, why not emphasize those ones and claim your points... You can actually function in these roles and in fact, have been doing them.

3) Years of experience is an invaluable treasure in this system unlike the Canadian Immigration. So, if you have more years of experience than your wife, you might just need to package your application well and be the principal applicant.

4) I am not in the know of the procedures for evaluation of medical degrees and practice; You might need to check online for that. However, it takes time and money in North America.

So, let's have more information in order to be able to provide more specifics.

Imagine you have 2.501m in your Savings account, gave an instruction that 2.5m be invested at a given rate. Your account is charged maintenance fee of say, N700.. Even though your money was enough at the bid date, it becomes inadequate shortly afterwards and you are disqualified on the ground of funds insufficiency.

If you cannot give the price of the house here, at least give its description and picture possibly.
