Originakalokalo: I think it's okay to protest. Think about it: what were the stated requirements for the job? How many applicants qualified? Usually, organizations have too many qualified people for a job and that informs the use of stages etc. Here you have several qualified people, some selected for interviews, no examination.. common, I know it's not really a good job, but for God's sake, let every qualified person have a chance to compete. May I also say that this protest will forestall future occurrenceor at least reduce it significantly. If you applied for any other FG or SG jobs, make sure you take part in the protest now. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Wonderful comments. I have a question but, let me contribute my quota: a friend, who now lives in Canada, advised me against staying back here in Nigeria after getting an above average knowledge of my financial standing and potentials. My greatest fear in life is the possibility of failure to maximize my potentials. I cannot also afford to make my kids start from where I started when I have the opportunity to do better. OP or whoever is involved, choose wisely and carefully. Now to my question: I have some professional certifications, international, in my practice which were awarded by a Certification body based in Canada and U.S.A. I am currently up for admission into the league of practitioners of the same Certification body here in Nigeria. My question is, do you guys think these Certifications may still be regarded as Nigerian on relocation to one of both countries: Canada or U.S.A? |

JERRYMAG4: Smile.. what if there is none yet? 160points no be beans o... |

dannio: New Zealand na die now o.. for a smooth entry, you need atleast 160 points. You are correct about the absence of POF thing but it's far more expensive than Canada in my opinion; Your POF is yours after all. But, do a little search on those who have migrated to NZ, the last time I checked, each migrant spent about N1,000,000.00. You can search for yourself. Don't forget that the EOI you submit also expires every six months... |

In my opinion, people are people irrespective of their race, ethnic or, sometimes, religious inclinations. When people come up to speak ill of any tribe, I wonder. Usually, people that help us in our life journeys aren't from our families or ethnic groups. I am from the middle-belt, the Yoruba speaking part. My best friend in primary school was from Anambra, Nnewi to be precise. He was more than a brother to me. We lost touch when we graduated Primary school. Getting to High school, my best friends were Igbos.. infact, my best friend, who is also my best man, is from Delta state, Oshimili... My career mentor is Igbo from Abia and lastly, my wife, an Anambrarian. My in-laws take me as a son. The Igbos have been good to me and I guess it's also because I haven't been bad either. I didn't mention that my NYSC was also in the East. Bottomline, guys, please let's embrace one another... No one made any contribution to determine his or her ethnic group. We can however decide to be whoever or whatever we want to be. |

OFFICIALAEL:People rarely talk about job offers because, getting job from outside Canada, with their LMIA scheme, is like taking a camel through the hole of a needle. Jobs may be arranged for you over there, but it won't fetch you any extra points except it is backed by the LMIA report. But again, there is nothing God cannot do. It's possible but difficult. 4 Likes |

hartson: Hello @hartson, Congratulations! Do you have a Master's or phD? If yes, how was it rated? If No, you or anyone else in the house who have sufficient information on the subject matter should please respond. Furthermore, has anybody secured employment interview(s) with Kiwi companies while still here in Nigeria so far? Best regards. |

dermmy: You are right about Zachaeus. However, a newly saved christian has greater joy. The moment you are saved, you want to avenge all past disobedience - check the scriptures. This must be guided as it could be dangerous if not done with wisdom. Also, the Christians have a generic guide: the Bible and a specific guide: the Spirit of God ( ...but as many that received him, he gave power to become the sons of God... Ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you... As many that are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God..). I hope things are clearer? As for those questions, there are situations the Spirit of God will point your heart to and convince you to restitute. In very grievous situations like killing, adultery that has led to having children outside wedlock and some of the scenarios you painted above, the wisdom of spiritual mentor(s) and intense prayers are required... Sarah told Abraham to send the bondwoman and her son, Ishmael, away and God said, listen to the voice of your wife, Sarah. Lastly, do you know that some of the people Zachaeus defrauded may have died? He acknowledged that and said he was giving half of his goods to the poor. That was the way he was guided and the Lord told him salvation had entered his house. So, what the brother has done is the right thing to do. He's lucky that WAEC and indeed the nation hasn't taken him up on the issue. Things get messier at times, but if you want to be a son, you must learn to obey the voice of the Spirit. If God must be your shepherd, you must be ready to become a sheep. 1 Like |

Yinkzy03: Unfortunately, Business/Finance is where your qualifications fall into where only Procurement manager is skill in shortage. If you were working with smaller companies, chances are you will be doing more than one thing. Okay, here are my suggestions: 1. You can research more into the cost implications (in Naira and time) should your wife stand in as PA and if both of you are ready. 2. Over time, I have seen a lot of interdependencies in business processes. As a Credit Analyst, do you think you can function well, if you were to be moved to Procurement? I believe YES. If so, you can still be the PA... |

Yinkzy03: Good one Yinkzy. Can you state your IELTS score, your qualification, skill and years of practice? I asked the questions because of the following: 1. IELTS isn't given much premium here relative to CA, UK and AUS immigration. An average score of 6.5 is all you need in either the Academic or GT module. So, a higher score here might not do much, except your score is less than the stipulated. 2) Often times, our job descriptions emphasize certain parts of our roles than the others. Usually, the deemphasized roles are those in Short supply. So, why not emphasize those ones and claim your points... You can actually function in these roles and in fact, have been doing them. 3) Years of experience is an invaluable treasure in this system unlike the Canadian Immigration. So, if you have more years of experience than your wife, you might just need to package your application well and be the principal applicant. 4) I am not in the know of the procedures for evaluation of medical degrees and practice; You might need to check online for that. However, it takes time and money in North America. So, let's have more information in order to be able to provide more specifics. Regards. |

smokey12345: Your connection should be one of: an Uncle, Aunt, Brother, Sister, Father or Mother, needless to say he or she must be at least 18. Relationship must be by Surname or maiden name. So, a family friend will not suffice. Note the above holds true only for IRCC. Some provinces accommodate others... For instance, family friends will be accepted by NB. |

Avoidhellfire: "Modesty" encompasses all you said about dressing, Great One. With respect to joblessness and poverty, the solution to poverty is the gospel..Luke 4:18. You may challenge this truth vehemently, and i understand that, because it is the truth and not fact! Now, if Adeboye believes that the gospel is what takes man out of poverty.. Is he preaching? If he is, then, why call him names? Furthermore, if he tells you to give in order to receive, will you agree? It is inherent in us to go against anything God. May i submit to you Great One that, if he should proceed to sell his Private jet and give out the proceeds to the poor, that cannot equal what the knowledge of God's word would do in a life. Abundance of money isn't what takes a man out of poverty? Consciousness of who you have been made to be is what does. Lastly, Jesus never told the disciples to pray "only" the Lord's prayer... It was only a model... Read it again. You are smarter than to just call anybody names... Do your best where you are at every point and ensure you have no regrets. So that when all is said and done, you will rejoice because you know you never held back. Be kind to all, give excuses for people, have salt within you and see to it that you live your life for Christ. Cheers! 1 Like |

hertz9te: The idea is not about skin color... It's about channeling the energy we spend hating, maiming and killing one another into productive thinking and creativity. Productive thinking is hard work, and it's difficult to combine that with hate. 1 Like |

feelamong: In my opinion, even Stanbic isn't exempted. Why wait till days later before debiting successful bidders? Imagine you have 2.501m in your Savings account, gave an instruction that 2.5m be invested at a given rate. Your account is charged maintenance fee of say, N700.. Even though your money was enough at the bid date, it becomes inadequate shortly afterwards and you are disqualified on the ground of funds insufficiency. |

If you cannot give the price of the house here, at least give its description and picture possibly. Cheers! |

Fusion23: A gift deed along with your SOA will enable you apply anytime. Meanwhile, keep adding to that money.. N2.5m is no longer enough for a single applicant - thanks to our seemingly ever falling currency. |
