Please I have a question.

Is it true that the stages of processing have changed? Like its no longer the usual IP1-NA1-IP2-NA2-PPR again? It seems that the tsunami of February 27 changed a lot of things

Hello guys,

Potentially stupid question but is there any correlation with getting the How to find a job in Canada (*cough* LVO) letter and your application being definitely eventually approved?

I know patience is key but some days the wait just gets to you...

Thanks.

I got one with my ITA mail sef. Don't think its anything to worry about...

Actually sis, it's no longer time consuming. Alot of Feb PNPs have gotten PPR. Infact people say PNP is faster than FSW now. But agreed it's expensive

What of pre-nomination?? I know its now being processed fast after AOR but to get the nomination nko?

But I just read that there were two rounds where the minimum score was 442.

Just concerned so I know what next to do.

Thanks for your feedback though

This is why we are advised to take all information here with a pinch of salt and to do individual research. You already found out that scores dropped to 442 (and even much lower) last year. PNP shouldn't even be on your radar unless you have a birthday coming up in the next 1 month ... All you need is patience sir.

PNP is not a bed of roses... go and ask the people going through it. Its very expensive and extremely time consuming. It is also not guaranteed and frankly you shouldn't be thinking of it with such a high CRS score

Good morning All,

I got ADR for spouse employment reference (Didn't claim points for his work history) Do I need to include the business card of the person signing the letter.

Yes I think you should. Also include any other revelant document that will confirm his employment (offer letter, promotion, etc).

If you don't mind me asking, did your spouse supply most or all of the pof? I'm trying to understand why you may have received an ADR for it.

People devoted their time to read, research, read again, interpret content as they relate to specific inquiries and type responses. All that's required of you is to read and apply but alas, you are too tired to.

You see, that's unfair to those who sacrificed their time and resources to hand you a "very long" thread to guide you. You know what? Even if someone summarizes for you, you'd still do the needful. So why not start now? You can do so by clicking HERE

My dear, this is why Immigration consultants will always be in business. Some people just cannot or do not want to do it themselves.

@Ethelia please how did you scan your Call to Bar Certificate? The size is not fitting into my scanner.

Hey, sorry for replying late. I also had that problem but was able to get a bigger scanner. even at that, some of the plain parts at the top and bottom of the cert still cut off.

The points is not much.
Do you think it is worth it?

Only you can answer this question sir..... A lot of people have been waiting in the pool for months due to 1 or 2 points. So, check the recent draws and your projected CRS score without it. This and your pocket will help you make the decision,

Dear House

Greetings to you all. I am just a bit worried regarding the POF. I have CAN$20,000 for a family of three (considering minimum requirement is $19,093) and this is the amount (CAN$20,000) that will be showing as current balance on my bank statement prior to submitting my application (please note this statement will be available three days before submission). However, the amount is very likely to reduce by CAN$2,230 (upon paying the application fees for family of 3) immediately after submitting the application. Will IRCC now calculate my POF as CAN$20,000 minus CAN$2,230 (application fees) = CAN$17,770, which is now lower than the required minimum of CAN$19,093. I will appreciate your kind gesture. Thanks

I guess this is why they sometimes give ADR for updated POF. Just ensure you have enough money in the account for both pof and application fees to avoid the stress you are going through now

Please oh,experts help my life here

As a dependent spouse you will have to undergo medicals and provide PCC (these are mandatory). You can also help increase the CRS score by writing IELTS and obtaining an ECA for your educational qualification. These 2 are NOT mandatory if the principal applicant alone has enough points to get an ITA.

You can also contribute to the POF

Yes I believe so. He will only have to change his status with the school when he gets his PR (even better for him as he will pay less and won't be bound by the strict student visa requirements. )

Hi Ethelia, great job youre doing on here. Quick one, I am currently in the pool with a score of 438 and I also have an offer of admission from a school in Ottawa. Does this count or better still how can i make use of the admission in the race?

Pls advise. Cheers.

Having admission doesn't give any advantage in PR application. Student visa application and PR application are 2 separate processes. Now, some people feel that you stand the risk of having the student visa application refused if you submit it when you have a pending pr application. This is because there is already prima facie evidence that you intend to remain in Canada and the Visa officer might feel you wont be inclined to leave after the expiration of a study permit if your PR application is refused (hope I’m making sense?). In any case, if you are able to prove enough ties back in Nigeria and convince the VO then your student visa might still be approved

I had three UK visa refusals in the past, those guys almost messed up my self esteem but thanks to canada for my trouble God has given me double. I stated the refusals and included the refusal letters sef ( yea been keeping them since 2013 ). I also included schedule A.

IT HAS ENDED IN PRAISE, though the journey still continues.

Congratulations!! May Canada favor you!!

@the bolded, this is very encouraging because of the general belief that UK and US visa refusals lands one in London visa office with long processing times cheesy

Hello Ethelia/ everyone,

Please I have a question. When I registered for express entry and dived into the pool, I chose 6 years and more. Can I still update my profile and delete other work outside of three years Pre-ITA and include the remaining work experience in personal history post-ITA? Hope this would not be a problem post-ITA since I chose 6 years and more? or am i expected to withdraw my application and create a new one?

I think this will depend on if choosing 6years added enough points to make you qualifying under the FSW program (I'm assuming thats the program you are applying under)

If you would have qualified without the complete 6 years then it shouldn't be a problem. Try deleting it pre ITA and see if you will still meet the FSW requirements

CRS with B.A is 439. With M.A is 441. Here is the question should we open our EE profile once we receive our ECA for our B.A or should we wait till I get my M.A. my husband also feels I should write another IELTS to get a higher score and become the primary applicant.( thanks for your time I am still JJC for this EE)

Okay so I assume you have separate ECA applications for the B.A and M.A. As you know, the higher the crs score the better. Especially going by the current trend of high cut off. in any case you loose nothing by entering the pool with the B.A while still continuing the M.A ECA processing. If you get ITA before its completed then great, if not you can always edit the profile or create a new one.

Schedule A (and Travel History) Forms are not compulsory. However, a lot of people who have had visa refusals and extensive travel history happen to receive ADR's for them. Soooooo, the idea of submitting it upfront is to avoid getting an Adr and saving time
