A bit confused by your question.... Are you asking if you should forget about evaluating the Masters? Anyway whats the CRS score with just Bachelors? Because you have also said you need the points for Masters

Please and please people the bolded is very important!! Don't go and fill in all your employment history and get points for 3years work experience then after getting ITA you will now start thinking of reducing it to only 1 . The application will likely be refused if it drops the crs score lower than the draw cut off.

Infact if possible, try and get your reference letters before completing the profile so you can weed out the difficult companies.

1. I am a lawyer with 5yrs post call experience both in litigation and commercial practice and I am currently the legal manager of a coy...but I want to start this EE but dont know how to start.
2. I read here that I will have to sit for IELTS,and have my cert evaluated but I am confused whether my wife should also write the IELTS and also evaluate her cert too?
3. She has not changed her maiden name on her passport and the passport is still valid for 3yrs,can she write her IELTS with it if atal she will have to write it?
4.which score should I have for my ielts exams?and if my wife is not going to sit for the exams,what are our chances?

Continue reading the thread. All the questions you have asked have been answered numerous times:

1. Start by reading page 0 (also page 0 of part 2) and calculating your projected CRS

2. This depends on your projected CRS score without the Ielts and ECA of your wife

3. She does not need to change her maiden name at all sef. I would even advise you continue with it as it is and later in Canada she can change her surname if she desires

4. Aim for the highest score possible and nothing less than 8777 in LRSW

By all means i don't want to. But where i served is one of the most backwards states in the country. There's no assurance that i'll get the reference letter as i got information the school packed up. please do you know if i could just attach my dispatch letter to the school and back it up with my account statement.

My dear you are not the first to have such issues and you won't be the last. Cutting corners and falsifying documents is not the way forward. Many people have had to wait for 1 full year before proceeding just to get the work experience.

Dispatch letter and account statement will not be enough as they don't contain alot of the required information (e.g. job duties, work hours, etc.)

The problem is i served in Gboko Benue state and i cant possibly go back their for work reference letter, if i get someone who has a company and is also willing to issue me a reference letter as at my service date and i can back it up with my account statement where my allawee was paid will this be acceptable by CIC?

Payslips are mandatory as earlier stated, but I'll advice you attach them if you have them. A guy in the JAN 2018 AOR group got ADR to upload payslips or bank statements.

If you have payslips or a bank statement for your salary account, upload them. Don't give CIC any chance to doubt your employment. If you can upload payslip + matching bank statement, then you are golden.

Are mandatory or are 'not' mandatory? Because the only mandatory document is the Employer Reference Letter. Every other document is supplementary which will help to make your case stranger. So if you have additional documents feel free to include them but if you don't, do not panic.

The best thing to do is to just start the process from any angle you can. You never can tell, help might locate you halfway or at the very least having a massive project like this gives you a sense of financial direction.
If you don't spend the money for this project, you might not also be able to lay your hands on a concrete thing you spent it on instead.
Close ur eyes and invest in your future cos on the average as a "senior house help" in Canada(support worker) you will make more than 30000cad in a year(that's abt 750k monthly).

Thank you all for the encouragements. My wife cleared the thing ooo. She received provisional test result confirmation via text message from the center we registered with. Note: Not in Naija, somewhere in the UAE.
Her result: L 8.5, R 7.5, W 7, S 8. Her age is 27 while I am 34.
WES evaluation ongoing. WES received all transcripts last last week . Wife's credentials - 2 years diploma in accounting and finance, 3 years BSc in Accounting. My credentials: 4 years BSc in Geology and 1 year Diploma in Microbiology. We are both hoping for 2 or more certificates equivalent.
Both with more than 3 years work experience..

Yet to decide on who to be the primary applicant.

1. If you don't need the extra points for her education then don't bother. Whats your projected CRS score with and without it?

2. MBA alone should be fine.. I think you get more or equal points for master alone than for 2 or more certificate (not sure about this though)

My IELTS 3/3 result is out..L 8, R 7.5, W 5.5, S 8. saw it comming. Taking the test again on 24/3. Second and Last, God willing.

Keep your chin up You will have even better scores in the next and final one. Now you know your weak area so focus on it and practice X3
