Yes I know people with very high first class yet to be called, and some with even 2'1 that have been called, it is very subjective with no clear method of selection so far. 2'1 has been geoscience though Tufe22 first class?

Typical Total, those who have gotten it have ranged from geoscience to electrical engineering with high 2'1 or first class so far.

I had other academic awards, a good Waec and a good grade from my first degree so I guess that’s what helped.

It doesnt usually affect, if PTDF selects the scholar, then the selected candidates will have to register the next time it is opened - from the last time I gathered

I really hope consideration is given to this.. Because a tone of applicants were unable to complete their application on the daad portal.

Yes being a first class graduate improves your chances significantly, this along with performance at the interviews will determine if they give an admission or not. Like you said, more of the focus should be on the Total scholarhsip

I doubt IFP school has sent out any offers. They usually send out offers in May. You may have received notification that your application is now ready for assessment - because the board usually sits in May to select their candidates
